I think that was the most disgraceful collection of degenerates and idiots that has ever been gathered together at the White House, with the possible exception of when Donald J. Trump dined alone. –S.Kenawe, with apologies to JFK.

R.I.P. Johnny "Shoes" Cammarata

My North End neighborhood mourns the loss of Johnny "Shoes" Cammarata.

He was a natural comedian and told stories with his unique flourishes about the old days in Boston's Italian neighborhood.  He was Johnny of "Johnny and Gino's" barber shop, but retired a few years ago and enjoyed hanging out at "My Cousin's Place"  (that's Johnny in the center of the photo) where he held court almost every day with his hilarious stories and opinions.

We'll miss you Johnny. And I'm glad we knew you!

Here's Johnny, featured in a National Geographic article.
