Trump urged protesting and marching in the streets...

when President Obama was re-elected in 2012 by a majority of the American people and a popular vote margin larger than any other candidate since President Eisenhower. (At this moment, more Americans voted for Hillary Clinton -- 63.4 million -- to Trump's 61.2 million. More Americans wanted her not him.) Trump took to Twitter and urged people to march on Washington because he claimed the election was "a travesty."

When someone has no core values or doesn't know squat about American democracy, this is what he sounds like:

President-elect Donald Trump, who took to Twitter Thursday to blast demonstrations against his victory as “very unfair,” had a different view of post-election distress four years earlier, when he called for a march on Washington “to stop this great and disgusting injustice.”
It’s bad enough that the newly elected U.S. leader this week would take to Twitter to criticize opponents for exercising their First Amendment rights, blaming “professional protesters” incited by the media. Worse, though, is that in 2012, Trump tried to incite supporters of defeated Republican nominee Mitt Romney to take to the streets in protest of President Barack Obama’s re-election.

Thanks for the popular vote figures, Shaw. Glad to see you and the blog up and about. Happy to see that Trump's vocabulary has still not advanced from the 4th grad level. "Very unfair."

A difference of over two million? Can you provide the link where you saw that? If true, it needs to be widely publicized. For one thing, it means that even with the drop in Democratic turnout, there aren't as many Republicans / racists in the population as we (and they) think. Also, if the Electoral College can frustrate a popular majority that large, it's really an urgent matter now to do something about it.

Here is a plan to guarantee that the popular-vote winner always becomes President, without having to amend the Constitution. It has already made significant progress.

I found it in The Atlantic:

The numbers that came out on Election Night were enough to secure Trump the presidency, but they weren’t complete. State officials are still counting millions of provisional and absentee ballots, and within two weeks, Clinton will likely have another few million votes in the bank.

Most were cast in the Clinton-leaning states of California, Washington, and New York—not swing states—so they won’t change the Electoral College. But there’s a sufficient amount to put her within striking distance of Obama’s 2012 turnout, and help put an end to the argument that she simply didn’t work hard enough.

“We probably have about 7 million votes left to count,” said David Wasserman, an editor at Cook Political Report who is tracking turnout. “A majority of them are on the coasts, in New York, California, and Washington. She should be able to win those votes, probably 2-1.” By mid-December, when the Electoral College officially casts its ballots, Wasserman estimates that Clinton could be ahead by 2 percentage points in the popular vote.

What’s with the delay? Several states, notably California and Washington, have liberal absentee and mail-in voting laws. California, for instance, allows residents to submit ballots up to three days late (although they must be postmarked on or before Election Day). These provisions have made alternative voting pretty popular, and the ballots a bit harder to count. California alone has more than 4 million votes pending; Washington is waiting on another 700,000.

Here's where you can track the count.

But as much as this assclown lies, it's no wonder he forgets what he said before. We are seriously the laughing stock of the world. And I thought W was bad!
