BREAKING NEWS: TRUMP'S VISIT TO CIA WAS ALL A SHAM. HE BROUGHT ALONG HIS OWN CHEERING SECTION, REPORTS CONFIRMED BY CBS.

I watched Trump's performance before the CIA on Saturday and something sounded and looked fishy to me. Now my and many other Americans' suspicions have been confirmed:

U.S. officials confirmed to CBS News that Donald Trump’s team brought supporters to his speech at the CIA headquarters on Saturday to sit in the first few rows.

These 40-or-so individuals were reportedly cheering while Trump spoke, which the initial perception was that CIA employees listening to the speech were doing so.

Additionally, CBS reported that agency employees at large were “uncomfortable” with Trump’s visit, which “made relations with the intelligence community worse.”

Despite claims from the administration that some were waiting to get inside the room, the network reported that just 400 employees RSVP’d.

“Thousands” were reportedly invited.

MORE HERE:

CBS News confirmed reports that President Donald Trump brought a studio audience to his visit with the CIA on Saturday. The news agency reports that an official said the visit left a wake of “unease,” “made relations with the intelligence community worse,” and was “uncomfortable.” Intelligence people were “stunned” and “offended by the president’s tone,” CBS reports.

“U.S. government sources tell CBS News that there is a sense of unease in the intelligence community after President Trump’s visit to CIA headquarters on Saturday.” Also, Trump did bring cheering props, which fits with how he has operated previously in requiring a cheering section – a sort of laugh track of supportive extras like those his campaign hired for his announcement event. It has been confirmed by Trump insiders that the President loves props.

“Authorities are also pushing back against the perception that the CIA workforce was cheering for the president. They say the first three rows in front of the president were largely made up of supporters of Mr. Trump’s campaign,” CBS continued.

Several of the easily duped right wing blogs and news sites were ecstatic about Trump's Potemkin Village-type performance at the CIA and gushed at how warmly he was received and applauded. Trump wasn't. It was all a lie --  a shameful, staged lie that would have made a Russian historian proud.

CBS reports that it was all a sham, set up by Trump's people to make him look good.

Former CIA director, John Brennan, said Trump should be ashamed of himself.

Now we know what Director Brennan meant.

Ex-CIA director: Trump should be ashamed of himself

Former CIA Director John Brennan was reportedly "deeply saddened" by President Trump's remarks at the Central Intelligence Agency on Saturday. According to former CIA deputy chief of staff Nick Shapiro, Brennan believes that Trump "should be ashamed of himself" for his "display of self-aggrandizement."

Here's a quote from one of the most gullible of Trump asskissers:

"Did you just see Trump’s talk at the CIA headquarters? FABULOUS. The crowd in that room kept cheering and cheering!

IT WAS A FAKE CHEERING CROWD! LMAO!

Gullible: "I loved it…. I turn to CNN, and they’re ‘tsk tsk’ing..(literally)…” in THAT ‘hallowed’ room…with the stars depicting the dead of the CIA, he stood there and the first thing out of his mouth was something about FOX…I’ve spoken to my connections at the CIA and this wasn’t what they expected. They expected him to just compliment them. This was inappropriate.”

I was laughing SO hard….they group kept cheering but CNN finds it inappropriate!

NO. WE'RE LAUGHING AT YOU, YOU EASILY FOOLED FOOL! IT WAS ALL A SET-UP, A FAKE, A FRAUD, A SHAM. AND YOU FELL FOR IT. WE ARE THE ONE LAUGHING SO HARD! LOL!

The CIA does not like to be made fools. Certainly not by a big fool like Trump.

Kevin and ARoTPB,

We all know Trump is a fake and a fraud. He had to pay $25 million to settle a law suit on his fake Trump U. It cheated people out of their hard earned money. Being a cheat and fraud is second nature -- actually first nature for Trump. I won't believe anything he says or does unless it get fact checked again and again. And I mean FACTS, not "alternative facts," like that foolish Kellyanne Conway described.

ARoTPB, it's not surprise that people on the far right blogs believe anything any jerk says so long as it fits their narrative.

Who takes their own cheerleaders anywhere?

Only someone pretty worried about how a silent room might appear to people.

Maybe he should just ask a network for laugh tracks and pre recorded cheering instead. Then they could just edit it in.

What a roller coaster.

He has no idea how to govern and won't even let his supposed professionals help him.

Dave, between Trump's major insecurities about attendance size at his inauguration and his fears of not being cheered by people he previously insulted, we're in for an administration that will have to be rigorously fact-checked on everything. We have to start out with the assumption that what Trump says is b.s., a lie, or a half-truth, and that his administration is always creating a fake reality to feed the easily gullible.

Philip Roth Slams Donald Trump as 'A Humanly Impoverished Con-man'

In remarks to New Yorker, famed American-Jewish novelist says Trump 'wields a vocabulary of 77 words better called Jerkish than English.'

Amen.

Surprise! Ha!

Trump hired people to come and cheer on his Trump Tower kick off campaign speech. Then he didn't pay them.

LMAO!

Remember Shaw... the extremists used to complain that Pres Obama was totally narcissistic.

Does that make The Donald "more" totally narcissistic? Or bigly narcissistic?

I wonder why we're hearing so little of a character defect that up until Jan 20th was so important for GOP partisans?

If the next four years are going to be like this, and there is no reason to think they won't be, America is screwed. Thanks Trumpanzees.

We're living in strange and dangerous times.

Spicer: It's 'Demoralizing' For Trump To See Media Narrative About Him

Apparently Donnie Little Hands wants the media to just love him and not say anything mean things about him. IOW he wants to be treated unlike every other POTUS in history has been treated. He wants SPECIAL lovey-dovey kisses from the mean meanies in the media. The Big Blubbering Bully can't take it; but he sure dished it out, didn't he:

Crooked Hillary
Little Marco
Ugly Carly Fiorina
Rapist Mexicans
Stupid POWs who get caught
Fat Miss Universe, etc., etc., etc.

Get used to this whiny, little man. It's going to be a long 4 years of this!

“I believe that we have to be honest with the American people, but I think sometimes we can disagree with the facts,” Spicer told reporters Monday in the first press briefing under President Donald Trump.

He can say it with a straight face.

No, RN, we're only screwed if we don't keep our wits and continue to voice opposition.

Spicer: "...but I think sometimes we can disagree with the facts,”

I'm cool with that, Mr. Spicer. I disagree with the fact that Donald J. Trump is POTUS.

There.

It's interesting that the majority of comments here call Trump supports gullible. Has anyone thought to ask who the person or persons were that "confirmed" to CBS that Trump brought his own cheering section? What is the credibility of these person(s)? Could they be individuals that were in some way aligned with the Obama administration, who could have had alterior motives? It's funny how people just zone into the lambasting headline without asking simple questions regarding actual source. You'll notice, nowhere does it actually reveal who the CIA source was. I have some suspicions though!

Anonymous, Trump has brought his claque to cheer him on in the past.

From The Washington Post:

"So was this real applause, or was it fake? If the applause was, as it appears to have been, partly engineered, the difference is less important than you might think.

This isn’t the first time Trump has done this

This isn’t the first time that Trump has engineered applause. When he first announced his candidacy, he got wild cheers — from actors who had been paid to applaud him (Trump then stiffed the company that hired them for four months). When he gave his first news conference as president, he filled the back of the room with aides to cheer for him, and jeer at the journalists he was attacking.

Trump has been proved to be a cheat, a b.s.er, and a liar. So we start from that premise -- that he's likely cheating, b.s.ing, or lying -- and then we proceed to look at the evidence.

I've read enough reputable sites that have reported this story. I believe it.

You're welcome to tell me why I should not believe it.

To Anonymous,

PS. You ignored Trump's vulgar behavior in front of the Memorial Wall of Honor at the CIA and focused on the story of his cheering gallery instead. Bragging about how many times he's been on the cover of Time Magazine and about the crowds at his inaugural was even more disrespectful and egregiously vulgar than having people cheer for him.

Trump has no sense of basic human decency, and he keeps proving me right.

Eric Zorn of the Chicago Trib:

"Why did Trump obsess about the size of the crowd on the National Mall — earlier Jan. 21, he told an audience at the CIA headquarters that it was 1.5 million, which is about three times the size of most estimates — so much that he directed Spicer to confront the media about it?

"Overall frustration" with "demoralizing" coverage that serves to minimize Trump's popularity, Spicer explained.

Sorry, but doubling down on petty lies isn't going to bring up those sagging approval ratings. Giving the public the impression that you're willing to mislead them on small things erodes your ability to gain their confidence when you want them to believe you on big things, things that really matter."

To quote Donald Trump in The Art of the Deal: "You tell people a lie 3 times, they will believe anything. You tell people what they want to hear, play to their fantasies, then you close the deal."

US News: "...this has also been Trump's con from the beginning: He portrays himself as a truth-telling populist when he is actually a habitual liar who made increasing mortgage costs for middle-class Americans one of his first acts in office. He seems to have no shame, and so lies about matters big and small when it will work to either his political advantage or just to soothe his ego. Every bit of lashing out is fresh meat for his base, which his team reportedly thinks will believe him no matter what – he's happy to create an alternative reality in which his supporters can live unaccosted by unpleasant truths. A safe space, if you will.

We're now witnessing how Trump's con morphs into one of governing rather than campaigning: Delegitimizing truth, focusing attention away from the actual machinations of government and covering it all with a veneer of reality TV spectacle.
