Trump put Mike Pence, who is an anti-science Evolution denier, in charge of the coronavirus response. Does that make you feel secure? A guy who claimed smoking doesn't cause cancer and who "prayed" on one of the worse HIV outbreaks in his state, is in charge of dispensing information to the public.
The incompetent trump administration told Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, to "stand down," from appearing on all the Sunday news shows.

" 'I can repeat what he said, he said, 'I was not muzzled. However, I was to go on the Sunday talk shows five of them. The vice president’s office then took over the control of this situation, and told me to stand down, not to do those shows,'" Garamendi said, quoting Fauci.
'Now, you can draw your own conclusions whether he was muzzled or not, but clearly he was scheduled to do Sunday talk shows and he was not to proceed with that,' the congressman added."

When asked during a Congressional hearing whether or not the Coronavirus was a hoax, as President trump claimed, Sec State Pompeo refused to answer, calling it a "gotcha question" and saying the government is taking it seriously.
Look, if it's a hoax, we need no government response, and the government need not take it seriously as Pompeo said it was. If it not a hoax and the government is indeed taking it seriously, then once again, President Trump lied.
Which should surprise no one.
Dave and Ray Trump's response in this calls into serious question his ability to lead and his mental state. Any leader attaching the word "hoax" in ANY context to a pandemic is seriously mentally not fit to lead.

Pompeo must not have gotten his copy of the talking points yet. Now they're saying that anybody who points out Trump's inane statements or counterproductive actions is "politicizing the virus".
Someone made a statement years ago that is playing out in big time today by both parties. I can't remember who said it but "never let a crisis go to waste" rings true. The president is downplaying the virus and blaming the democrats while the democrats and media are trying to create wide spread panic and blame the president.
This is a time for everyone to rejoice and finally realize that nothing the politicians do is for the American people but only for them.

I just reminded you that when a Democrat was president, the Republicans were blaming him, President Obama, for incompetence in his response to the ebola scare. You seem to think only the Democrats do this.
In fact, re: the impeachment and what GOPers said about the Dems wanting to impeach trump the day he was inaugurated -- If you Google that but use Hillary's name instead, you'll see that the Republicans were talking about impeaching Hillary during the 2016 campaign.
It's just a reminder to you that you fail to see the log in the Republicans' eyes while bitching about the speck in the Democrats'.
You should also remind your resident troll that the Republicans engaged in a concerted effort to politically weaponize the 2014 Ebola outbreak against Barack Obama, whose response was in reality smart and effective. In the aftermath of that outbreak the Obama administration put in place measures to deal with future pandemics — all of which Trump scrapped.
There is no way the repugs could impeach the -H- because she lost to the orange hair or did you forget. I have always contended that trump didn't win, princes pantsuit lost as did the DNC. They seem to be making a similar mistake this election in anointing joe blunder as their candidate.
As to blaming the president for any health outbreak is ridiculous and that goes for barry. The economy yes but a health out break no. The swell guy may have been a total incompetent and a special interest only president but even he could not start or stop a virus or any other health issue and neither could trump. As many as 61000 people died from the flu in the 2017-18 season yet no one blamed the president. This is a democrat fueled panic and they are doing a good job of exploiting it because after all never let a crisis go to waste.
