"An old interview with Donald Trump from 1997 has resurfaced, revealing some crass statements on dating and STDs. The real estate mogul and businessman told host Howard Stern that dating was his "personal Vietnam."
Trump called himself a 'brave soldier' for avoiding STDs while dating in the late 1990s. He made reference to the HIV and AIDS epidemic at the time as well, referring to women's vaginas as 'potential landmines,' adding: 'There's some real danger there.'
'It’s amazing, I can’t even believe it. I’ve been so lucky in terms of that whole world, it is a dangerous world out there. It’s like Vietnam, sort of. It is my personal Vietnam. I feel like a great and very brave soldier,' he said."

I remain a slightly right of center individual and as such I really have trouble with Sanders and Warren. Buttigieg, Klobachar, or Biden I'm much more comfortable with. Having said that I will, regardless who Democrats choose as their standard bearer, be supporting and voting for that individual.

Neither Presidents Clinton nor Obama got a fake medical condition to avoid service, like Trump did.
Bill Clinton found an educational deferment. While in school, he publicly protested U.S. involvement in Vietnam. Once his educational deferment ended, he sought positions in the National Guard or Air Force, but he was unsuccessful. An uncle also unsuccessfully attempted to secure Clinton admission into the Navy Reserves.
Subsequently, Bill Clinton then approached a senator who helped arrange Clinton’s attempt to join the ROTC at the University of Arkansas. This path created a delay and exempted Clinton from draft consideration during that process.
Shortly before he would need to show up for ROTC, Clinton wrote a letter declining participation in the ROTC program. In fact, Clinton had already obtained admission to Yale School of Law and had no plans to attend the University of Arkansas School of Law. He subsequently entered the draft and received a high draft number.
Mr. Obama did not need a medical or educational exemption. He simply did not sign up. America was not involved in a war at that time and there was no longer a draft.
Beside all that, it is the REPUBLICANS/CONSERVATIVES who have idolized the military and military service. That's the point, which you either don't get or deliberately ignore.
Until Trump became POTUS, the Republican Party was the party of military worshipping. Then Trump mocked a POW who was held in miserable conditions for 5 years, and Trump got away with that and also Trump continued to insult, mock, and demean others who had served.
Last week Trump fired a man who earned Purple Heart in combat for obeying the law and telling the truth under oath.
That's the basis for our disgust and revulsion for Trump. He never had the balls to serve; he shouldn't demean those who did.
Neither Clinton nor Obama ever behaved in such a disgraceful manner to any wounded warrior.
That's why so many Americans detest Trump. He's a miserable, vindictive monster.
I stated a fact and you defended the indefensible. You make it sound like clinton volunteered to enter the draft lottery. At that time no one had a choice to sign up and his high number kept him from going to Canada. Clinton used every angle he could to avoid service and the swell guy didn't have to because there was no draft.

Clinton's deferment may well have been his way to avoid service. I know one of my brothers used education in exactly that way. The difference with Trump is his disdain for military men, along with his probably bogus medical condition. Trump supported the SEAL who did incredibly damaging things, so bad his troops testified against, something troops seldom do.
He's alienating a fair group of military men and women. It will interesting to see how that affects him in the elections.

Rev, explain how someone who is no way close to being a millionaire gets a job that pays $170000 per year, supports two houses one of which is in a very high priced city and walks away being a multi millionaire after a few short years. Depends on which side you stand on. I was one of the attacked by the swell guy. He said I and thousands of others didn't build their business. He was decisive about taking what I worked for and giving it to those who choose not to work. He gave away billions of dollars so he could be a feel good president. He gave away taxpayers billions and got nothing in return. He lied on several occasions one of which was keeping your doctor when he knew that was not the truth. He didn't know his pastor all that well, the one who hated America and his wife was ashamed to be an American until the swell guy won. Most of all he was a racist who was never called out because he was protected by the media, you don't have to be white to be racist. I understand you cannot relate to any of these things because you are not in the middle class and a business owner.
