It is what it is...

We have a president who can't even read his speeches...

Here's what the transcripts had. Now, if his speechwriters wrote this word salad, they should be fired. But I think this is an accurate transcripts of what our president said. Just try and diagram it or get the texts into agreement.

"When young Americans experience the breathtaking beauty of the Grand Canyon, when their eyes widened in amazement as Old Faithful bursts into the sky."

And that's before we get to his inability to pronounce the name inability to pronounce the name of one of the crown jewels of the National Park system, when he is celebrating those parks.

And they say Biden has lost a step. Just remember, this guy has the nuclear codes.

Dave, I had the privilege of visiting and staying in Yosemite years ago. It is a marvel of nature. I'll never forget the experience.

How a person gets to the highest office in America and can't pronounce "Yosemite," is beyond understanding. Maybe it was the first time he saw it? Or maybe he is in some sort of mental decline. Either case is appalling.

Yet the anti-Bidens are trying to make him look senile while ignoring this disturbing performance by Trump?

November can't come soon enough.

Shaw... so, I've got a couple of thoughts on this subject.

First, I think Trump needs glasses, and in private wears them to work, read and navigate the White House. But, he is too worried about his look to wear them in public when he tries to stick to a script.

Second, I doubt Trump has ever considered Yosemite in his life. And the way he ran the sentences together, it sounds like he believes Old Faithful is actually in the Grand Canyon. If you asked him tomorrow where it was, I doubt he could identify Yellowstone. He's not a nature guy.

Third, if you saw the Jonathan Swan interview, or can find it, check out Trump's graph. The one he showed on camera is huge, like it was made for a blind man, or a third grader. pretty amazing. Four lines, and it took up the whole page.

We're in a fix. I hold no doubt that Biden is perfect, or for that matter, will last four years, but Trump must go. He's a stain on the White House, the presidency and our country's history and traditions. Biden will, in the end, be a good steward of the office.

And that sentence in the last paragraph should read...

I hold no hopes that Biden is perfect, or for that matter, will last four years, but Trump must go.

Rev, I don't think trump will win but what will happen is by a slim chance he does. Can the country handle massive riots, massive funds to pay for mental health issues, crying in the streets and news reporters going into shock on the air. I am uncertain if biden will go on a world wide pity tour but I doubt it.

If biden the place sitter wins the country will survive because e have survived worse. The biden/obama positions will continue and the rich will get richer and the middle class will suffer because of attacks on private businesses with increased taxes and regulations. There won't be riots and people will keep going waiting the four years to begin again.

Trump is by no means perfect but at least he is competent and has accomplished something for the American taxpayer. I have been looking for a Biden 2020 banner or bumper sticker but have not seen one. This is not about support for biden but hatred toward trump and that is a poor platform to run on.

Right Winger Frankie, sometimes I have to think certain right wingers flunked basic English in grammar school.

Excuse my language Shaw but that is bullshit! Millions of people are supporting Biden over the Orange Buffoon because Biden knows more about government then Trump and most important Biden is a decent honorable man, and trump is a liar and a horrible person who calls people names and pretends he knows more then the covid experts.Skudrunner can't face the fact that the leader of his party is a shit pure and simple and 60% of Americans hate him for what he's done to this country. The world disrespects and makes fun of us. We have the most cases of Covid in the world and Trump has been a failure!

Why hasn't the DNC told biden who his running mate is. This is a tough one because he has committed to a women now they need to decide if it will be a black women. The problem with selecting a black running mate is there is no gain. The DNC has stated that democrats own the black vote and even their candidate said if you vote trump you ain't black. Much of the voter base will see selecting a black VP as pandering.
Tough call and I bet biden is glad he doesn't have to make it.

Ms Shaw, If -H- won she would be president. It goes like your argument about jim crowe, they were democrats when the implemented it.

Joe Biden has a LOT of work ahead of him to fix the disasters created by Dotard. He has no time for "place sitting". Apparently that Biden will be a "place holder" is the rightwing talking point (argued with Minus about this on his blog).

As for surviving worse... if we make it though the Dotard presidency (the most incompetent potus in US history) that will be the worst. I refer to the deaths (more than many of our wars combined) and economic devastation (larger gdp drop than the great depression).

The worst presidency EVER. The after effects will continue for many years to come (trump depression). And the republicans will attempt to blame Joe Biden for ALL of Dotard's massive failures. Count on it. Given that, the job will be much harder than normal. Yet us pray that Joe Biden is up to the task.

Although, from what I've heard, there will be disappointment before he even assumes office. In that he won't chose a Progressive VP but that the ticket will be two moderates. Which isn't stopping Dotard from lying about Biden being "far left". When the truth is he's too moderate. Hopefully we'll get Elizabeth Warren or Karen Bass as VP. But I'm not holding my breath. It will probably be Kamala Harris or Susan Rice.

Re Dotard being a horrible person... I'm just about finished with Mary Trump's book and it reveals that that entire side of the family (excepting her father who died young because his own parents didn't give a crap about him) is horrible. The Dotard siblings colluded to rip her and her brother off bigly (not caring that her brother had a son that needed medical care or could die). Even her grandmother (Dotard's mother) revealed her contempt for her own son (Mary's father) because he was a "loser". Despite the fact that Mary Trump went to see her grandmother in the hospital every day after she was mugged and beaten and no other family members did.

Derv, I finished the book a week ago, and I agree with you that the Trumps, excluding Mary Trump's family, were and are horrible, selfish, uncaring people. To do what they did to Freddy Trump is unforgivable, to cancel a health insurance policy on Trump's disabled grandchild is monstrous. Even Trump's sister who was a federal judge got her job through family connections, not on her own merits.

It was a fascinating read about one of America's worst families.
