Texas

Words fail me. Is Texas part of the U.S.? Read the linked story.

Texas Senate removes requirement to tell students that the KKK are 'morally wrong'

The move is one of about two dozen curricula that are being removed from requirements.

The Texas Senate has passed a bill that would limit teaching certain topics, notably those that revolve around race and racism.

The agenda item was one of 11 pieces of legislation Gov. Greg Abbott noted when he called for a special session in early July. Senate Bill 3 states that a "teacher may not be compelled to discuss a particular current event or widely debated and currently controversial issue of public policy or social affairs."

The bill is a follow-up to an already passed House bill that Abbott signed in May. Among the changes in SB 3 is the removal of a reference to the Ku Klux Klan being "morally wrong" from House Bill 3979, which is set to become law in September.

It's not Texans but republican Texans. They're assholes. There are enough Democrats in Texas that they could take the state back if they would get organized.

Cancel Culture at work. We need to wipe out our past so we can re-invent our future.
Mike, the democrats are organized in Texas. They don't want to do anything about a bill so they flee the state and create a super spreader event in DC.
Why should we spend anytime on the border crisis, russian threats, china threats after all it is all about the great social change funded by all tax payers.
I feel good about paying for the collage education for some rich guys kids education and not welding school for some kid that wants to work for a living.

The KKK was a morally repugnant hideous organization that apparently believed enslaving other human beings was perfectly okay in their God's eyes. Good Christians all no doubt! (LOL)

That was in the 18th and 19th centuries. Now, in the 21st century (when civilizatiion has presumably advanced) Texan's are apparently more repugnant gan the KKK was in its heydays.

Why, because EVERYONE KNOWS today that the KKK was brutal, murderous, immoral, andgrossly WRONG. PERIOD.

Texas can go screw itself. In fact it would be nice if the racist bastards try succedding again and the US Government opens the door for them.

If there are any good Texans they would be very smart to leave the state.

Anonymous, I'm pretty certain that you mean "seceding," not "suceedding."

You've been doing that all your life under both Democrats and Trumpublicans! Why does it bother you now? Where was your complaint while Trump and Reagan were in office?

As we await skidmark's reply, a unlikely as it no doubt is.

PS: Thanks for the spell check/correction. Guess I've become lazy in my advancing years (LOL).

The lesson is simple.

Only white conservatives are allowed to define and deny racism. Only white conservatives are allowed to dictate and deny the history and effects of racism.

It's almost as if they consider themselves the superior race... Hmm.

They've really taken the term "whitewashing" to the extreme.
