Hmmm. Didn't the law get Al Capone on tax crime charges?
Let's see where this goes.
Anyone who thinks Trump's "beating the rap" will lead to another run for POTUS is kidding him or herselve. He's still twice impeached; he could still face legal trouble for his attempts at overturning the outcome of the election. He could still have to answer for his actions on January 6.
Trump is ultimately responsible for the misdeeds of his organization. And, no, this isn't murder one, but it's a vast array of other white collar crimes designed to defraud the government, those he did business with, and who knows who or what else. For some reason, executive crime in this country isn't looked upon as robbery when, in fact, it's no different than someone knocking over a 7-11 for drug money.
Today's indictments are only the end of the beginning.
Just another day in the life of the most corrupt ex-president in my lifetime.
"Trump got his best average rating on public persuasion, in which he came in 32nd. On moral authority and administrative skills, however, he came in dead last."
Who ranked worse than Trump? According to the historians, presidents Franklin “Bleeding Kansas” Pierce, Andrew “First to Be Impeached” Johnson, and James “Failed to Stop the Civil War” Buchanan, who came in last."--Washington Post

So we can now say tRUMP was not even the best at being the worst. He finished 4th. Not even a bronze medal for him.
It's interesting...
Lefties for years have been saying that governments over reach when they charge people and that lots of times police and DA's stretch the rules.
And for years one of the responses from the right has been "the police wouldn't arrest or charge someone unless he/she was a bad person."
That seemed to work well for the mostly "law & order" folks until their people started getting popped. I never heard a conservative ever decry a "process crime" until they were snared. I never heard a conservative say lying to the FBI was not a crime until it fit their purposes.
Now conservatives are crying over the Trump Org being caught in small tick tack illegal doings.
Remember Eric Garner? He was arrested and died as a result of selling a loosie. But conservatives said a crime is a crime is a crime and selling a loosie in NYC was a crime.
Where's that attitude as it relates to Trump?
Non existent.
You're funny, Dave. Trying to make sense of the radical right and their ever-fluid positions! Ha might as well start juggling rabid honey badgers, my friend. The end result will be the same; it's won't work out and you'll just end up cut and bloody.
People tend to believe what they want to believe. Regardless of the veracity of same.
Class privilege explains why rich people get away with crimes. "Only the little people pay taxes". As we know (thanks to Mary Trump) the Dotard organization's MO for decades has been bigly tax evasion. This isn't "politics", it's way past time this criminal company was prosecuted.
