When are lies about one's background, accomplishments, affiliations, (and everything else) so great, so material, that the electorate can fairly be said not to have elected that person to office? In the business world, Santos would immediately be fired for lying about his graduation and accomplishments. His resignation should not be in question, except he is part of the Republican party that puts power ahead of morals.
The people of Santos's district voted for a gay Jewish college graduate with a successful career on Wall Street, who self-financed his campaign. That person does not exist. If this result is allowed to stand, elections truly are meaningless.
The same party that lied about Herschel Walker’s past, and that endorsed a candidate that they knew lied about his qualifications (Santos), continues to push a narrative that Democrats can’t be trusted!
George Santos actually said today that, “I never said I was Jewish … I said I was Jew-ish.”

Then added "Joe Biden has been doing it everyday for 40 years."
The above statement about Biden is what many of the far right believe, and as such, Santos can be excused, because "they" are just doing what "we've" done for decades. In fact La Capitana has essentially said as much regarding Biden.

Here's how to lie and lie are defined...
1. A false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive; an intentional untruth.
2. Something intended or serving to convey a false impression.
It seems the most meaningful word here is intent. What was the intent of the speaker. In Clinton's case, she claimed embellishment. I don't buy it. To me, she was set on deception, but others may have another opinion.
Senator Warren, has said she was simply stating what she was taught as a child regarding her upbringing. As my wife recently learned that her grandmother's family has roots in the white people of the Mayflower, I can see Warren's claim as truthful. families are funny things sometimes.
President Biden has been known for sometime to be what some have called a serial fabulist. A guy who just says stuff. And yes, he has also stolen whole cloth, parts of speeches from others, for which he apologized and took his lumps.

So we should investigate the cities that allowed their city to shut down because of snow. We should investigate the federalists for the deaths of our border guests. He just sits back and lets time resolve any issue. Why didn't he investigate the supply chain fiasco.
As to SWA, they will pay the price for their decision to not upgrade their computer system because we all have a choice who to fly and this will last for awhile. That is called the free market who rewards the companies who provide a service to their customers. What will the federalists achieve by "investigating" SWA except to embarrass the company, cost them millions and make the politicians on the investigating committee look like they know what they are talking about, which of course they don't.
As a point of clarification, Cabinet Secretaries are "hired" by the president, subject not to the voters for approval, but the Senate. Mayor Pete was questioned, judged and approved by the US Senate on an overwhelmingly bi-partisan 86-14 vote.
So at the very least, a lot of folks in government thought he was qualified to do the job for which he was nominated.
As a child, I often heard my father say that an ancient ancestor of ours was an Arab prince. This has been a difficult holiday, since I got COVID the Thursday before Christmas and had to cancel all family plans.
Since I'm vaxxed and boostered and had my flu shot, I haven't had a terrible time of it: No headache, no sore throat, slight fever that lasted only 2 days, but I'm still feeling fatigued, a bit weak, and congested. I have continued to wear my mask at all times and have stayed away from crowds, but I got it anyway.

SWA screwed up big time. Both my wife and I were airline employees and know the difficulties airlines face but in this case it was preventable if the investment was made years ago. Now it is catch up which will take a couple of years. The federal investigation that mayor pete wants to conduct is more grandstanding by our serving elite. Maybe the answer is to create one airline run by the federal government. Stupid idea but no more stupid than national healthcare. Governments, federal, state, local have the ability to screw up anything. How long has the FAA had billions to update the ATC system and it is just recently they started. Was that because the paid dividends or just was to inept to do anything.
Again I asked what mayor pete has done and the answer is typical, under trump..... because everything is about trump and the current mess is just ignored.

SWA is the largest domestic carrier in that states, the only real choice some ppl have because since deregulation, the other airlines have mostly left a lot of the places SWA serves. Think Midway. Their traffic is huge, but it is mostly SWA. And because ORD is so busy, SWA is the major point to point carrier in the area.
Perhaps if Congress help our corporations to the monopoly guidelines we'd have a better system, but they don't. In the end, SWA will keep the great majority of their business because customers do not have real choice in many markets.

Rev, You say SWA is the largest domestic carrier which is incorrect since Delta is larger. You mention one airport they have the vast majority of flights but there are over 40 carriers serving that city so you may be incorrect as well. SWA has competition in most if not all of the markets they serve. If you will recall it was jimmy who signed deregulation which creates the free market for airlines.
I am not defending SWA because they really screwed up but for the government to chastise them and have someone who has no clue head it up is ridiculous. Did you see the article in The Post about the tiny Long Island newspaper (North Shore Leader) that was sounding the alarm in September about Santos? The Post wrote: "The Leader reluctantly endorsed Santos’s Democratic opponent the next month. “This newspaper would like to endorse a Republican,” it wrote, but Santos “is so bizarre, unprincipled and sketchy that we cannot. … He boasts like an insecure child — but he’s most likely just a fabulist — a fake.”
