34 felony charges. I guess that should quiet the folks asking why the government is so hyped up on misdemeanor charges.

Shouldn't it???

It should. It likely won't. Certainly not amongst the Trump cultists. Perhaps the fence sitters will be swayed and make his bid for the presidency in 2024 mute. We'll see, eventually.

Bury that scumbag.

I guess you read the indictments which are 34 of the same thing. Normally they would be accounting errors but with trump anything is possible and the democrats finally got what they wanted for seven years. Indict the person and then find the crime. Next hearing is not until December so it is going to be a long process and the next step will be after the election which is interesting.

I was excoriated for saying fetterman and joey b can't complete a sentence. Dervi says he hopes a former president is beat up in prison and crickets, good play.

Trump is worse than a mob boss:

Andrew Weissmann on Trump going after the New York judge's family: "This is appalling. You do not have this behavior from a mob boss. There is a rule in organized crime."

Organized crime is generally smart enough to avoid unnecessary legal entanglements, let alone publicly attacking the family of a judge overseeing a case they’re involved in.

There is no bottom to Trump's depravity.

Look... before everyone gets too excited, here's a few potential hiccups.

1. Clearly Trump committed crimes.
2. DA Bragg is charging those crimes as felonies, rather than misdemeanors.
3. The felony case is much harder to make and win, but there are statute of limitation issues if these were simply charged as misdemeanors.
4. A trial start time has been set for sometime in December, which will likely be extended through pre trial motions, etc.
5. Trump's arguing against these charges and his personality to fight, fight, fight is exactly what his supporters want, expect and love about him. They want a bad ass, and he's it.

So stay tuned for a long ride, but also keep your eyes on Jack Smith in DC and Fani Willis in Georgia. Both of them are preparing much stronger cases against Trump and his minions.

Once again Skud, you've mischaracterized people's comments. You were "excoriated" for your cpmments about Sen Fetterman because you made a joke about a medical condition. Why do we no longer make "retard", "spazz" and "crippled" jokes? Because we know more and are better people than we were year ago.

But for some reason you missed that memo.

Would you make jokes about someone suffering from cancer? How about kidney failure? If your answer is yes, it says something about you. If your answer is no, then why joke about Fetterman?

As for Biden... again, he's a stutterer. Has been all of his life. And yes, I am sure as he gets older, it's worse. But why make fun of that?

I'll let Derv speak for himself, but as I've said about others who comment here, sometimes folks do go too far. I prefer it when libs and progressives don't go there, like many conservatives on the interwebs do. But in my experience, when asked to clean it up by others, to be better, they generally do.

You however do not. As it relates to both Biden and Fetterman, even after others have said your continued joking about their medical issues is offensive, you've dug in, denied the obvious and repeated your snide joking remarks.

What kind of person does that?

Rev, Biden has overcome his stuttering by reading everything he says including a message to the people going to the moon. I do place entire blame on the republicans for fetterman winning but blame the democrats for allowing him to run. Take someone who is facing huge challenges and put him in a compromising position so you can keep power. Politics are not about doing the right thing but keeping control.

Now we have a president who is so intent on focusing on the far left agenda that he is punishing the poor he claims to care about. His punishing the middle class is a promise to his mentor so that is expected. Gas prices are increasing with a dwindled national reserve, bank collapses from bad management which the govt is going to cover and the border is out of control.

I think what the democrats did to fetterman is inexcusable but I'm sure you do not see it that way.

Skud... depression is a terrible disease/condition. You can be suffering and not even be aware of it. So maybe Fetterman seemed fine to everyone, including himself and after the election, or his stroke, something snapped.

Hard for me to find fault there, but maybe not so much for you. It's easier in hindsight.

My wife was "fine" mentally until one day she wasn't. And it has taken us years to figure it all out. But others cannot impose solutions on people with mental illness. It just doesn't work that way. Again, depression, bi polarness, etc, are nasty, hard things to diagnose, understand, and deal with. And they are without a cure. Only remissions.

As for Biden, he is not a darling of the far left. Not. At. All.

He's a centrist, but the new right, having moved far from center, sees anyone left of themselves as far right. All you have to do is read a few of the comments at the Mothership. If Biden is far left, as you and others assert, where is Warren? Bernie? Omar? AOC?

There is just no credible case to be made that a Dem like Biden, supporting the war in Ukraine, who went low on student loan forgiveness [a true middle class tax cut], wants to be bipartisan and has signed bipartisan legislation, crammed a deal down the throats of train engineers and more is far left.

Left of you does not make someone far left.
