FILE UNDER "WTF!"

This is the guy that the "law and order" and "Constitutionalist" Republicans  want to put back in the WH!

Trump and allies plot revenge, Justice Department control in a second term

Advisers have also discussed deploying the military to quell potential unrest on Inauguration Day. Critics have called the ideas under consideration dangerous and unconstitutional.

"Donald Trump and his allies have begun mapping out specific plans for using the federal government to punish critics and opponents should he win a second term, with the former president naming individuals he wants to investigate or prosecute and his associates drafting plans to potentially invoke the Insurrection Act on his first day in office to allow him to deploy the military against civil demonstrations."

"The Republican Party, rent by internal divisions, has imploded. Far too many Republican elected officials are Trumpist authoritarians and White “Christian” nationalists. They have no interest in governing on behalf of the entirety of 'We the People'.

Worse yet our nation’s enemies thoroughly understand the extent to which America—the world’s dominant economic and military power—is hobbled by the political-religious polarization promoted by Donald J. Trump, Speaker Mike Johnson, Senators Ron Johnson, Josh Hawley, Tommy Tuberville and Rand Paul, and by Representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene, Matt Gaetz and others of their ideologically driven and anti-democracy ilk.

A democratic republic cannot survive unless its politicians for the most part speak the truth; unless they make at least some effort to educate voters, rather than manipulate their negative emotions to ensure election; unless they are dedicated to sense of fair play grounded in two fundamental principles: mutual toleration and institutional forbearance

'Mutual toleration' refers to the idea that as long as our rivals play by constitutional rules, we accept that they have an equal right to exist, compete for power, and govern.

'Institutional forbearance'…means ‘patient self-control; restraint and tolerance,’ or ‘the action of restraining from exercising a legal right.’…[It] can be thought of as avoiding actions that, while respecting the letter of the law, obviously violate its spirit.”— How Democracies Die. by Steven Levitsky and Daniel Ziblatt

Republican mendacity, manipulative power politics, and abandonment of mutual toleration and institutional forbearance amply evidence that the GOP is no longer a party dedicated to democratic governance.

Republicans who exhibit some sense of fair play are driven from the GOP. Experienced 'moderate' republicans—those who occasionally dare to criticize Trump and compromise with Democrats—are at risk. Many of them are retiring in frustration and disgust."

I read this the other day. It's a chilling read.

Buried deep inside the article is this quote, from the former president...

Speaking about his indictments at a New Hampshire rally he said this... "“This is third-world-country stuff, ‘arrest your opponent,’” "And that means I can do that, too.”

Stop for a moment and take that quote in.

Trump calls the actions of US DOJ, "third world country stuff". In his opinion, what the DOJ is doing in, depending on your point of view, bringing 91 evidence based indictments, or has gone off on a fact free fishing expedition, is "third world stuff."

Trump sees those indictments as wrong. As something you'd only see from a tin pot dictator in essentially, a third world banana republic.

So what's the fix? What does the former president suggest to fix the problem?

Absolutely nothing. Rather, his fix is not focused on righting a wrong at all. He says the simple fact that in his eyes Joe Biden is breaking the law and using the system to attack him gives him the right to also do so.

This is the classic he did it, so can I. Even though Trump admits such behavior is "third world country stuff."

And yet today, we see Trump leading in the polls in a slew of swing states across the US.

Chilling and at the same tlime not one bit surprising. Given the state of the nation and the growing acceptance of neo-facism in America today.

Yeah. No.

Trumpers whine about a "weaponized DoJ" when it brings charges against a lying, cheating fraudster who tried to overturn a free and fair election. They do not believe in bringing liars, cheaters, fraudsters, and rapists to justice.

"The 448-page Mueller report contains copious detail about how Russia interfered in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, both by using social media to influence American voters with misinformation and by hacking into the Clinton campaign’s computers. Russian operatives also connected with WikiLeaks to release the stolen material."

"Through two years of this investigation, through the indictment of 34 individuals, and then spelled out clearly in his final report, Robert Mueller made one thing crystal clear: Russia attempted to interfere with our 2016 election.'

Mueller lays this out, like the entire report, essentially as a large outline, saying Russia attacked in two ways.

"[Mueller] writes... that [Russia] carried out a social media campaign that favored presidential candidate Donald J. Trump. And, second, a Russian intelligence service conducted computer intrusion operations against entities, employees and volunteers working on the Clinton campaign. Translation: Russia used the Internet to fool American voters and hackers to attack Democratic computer networks."

"By the end of 2016, the Russians had set up fake social media account that reached millions of voters aimed at promoting Trump or dividing Americans.

The Russians created fake hashtags, like #KidsForTrump. They bought thousands of online ads. They impersonated U.S. citizens and set up political rallies, like a 2015 Confederate rally in Houston.

They made posters like this one of "Miners for Trump" to promote a rally in Pittsburgh in 2016.

Lisa Desjardins:

The Mueller report lays out how this ensnared real American political operatives, including the Trump campaign and its allies.

Donald Trump Jr. and top advisers like Kellyanne Conway all retweeted these fake accounts.

Let's go to page 34 for an example.

It shows a 2016 Facebook post from candidate Trump himself where he thanked organizers and promoted a rally in Miami.

But Mueller writes that Russians in the IRA organized that rally, and even used a fake Facebook account to brag that Mr. Trump posted about our event."

Again, -FJ... Trump asserts like you do that the "DoJ, IC and/or Government was NEVER weaponized against DJT.... RussiaGate never happened."

Let's say you are 100% correct.

Trump says that behavior from the Biden Admin is essentially, wrong.

Would it also be wrong from a Trump Admin?

Charging Biden for victimless crimes to strip him of his wealth/ punish him? No, it wouldn't be okay. That would be a kind of unconstitutional bill of attainder.

Breaking the law, whether there's a victim or not, is a crime. But Trumpers who worship a conman don't understand that.

Smoking marijuana is/was a victimless crime, depending on where you live. But that didn't stop the authorities from putting people in jail, especially people of color.

But here you are, whining about making Trump accountable for his crimes. It's so unfair to make him do that, isn't it!

Why do the Trumps always play the victim? They were born with a silver spoon in their ungrateful mouths. Their problems are their own fault.

Cause and effect. It never takes time off. The effects of tRump's causes are not yet fully realized. The effects will be deeply felt by many. They will not be good for the nation or anyone in it. Jan 2025 may very well be far worse than Jan 2021

In the article Paul Dans, the director of Project 2025, said this:

“We don’t want careerists, we don’t want people here who are opportunists,” he said. “We want conservative warriors.”

In other words, we don't want people who want to work for the common good of society, we want people who hold a grudge against the government and society.

Dan and his fellow Trumpers want to fundamentally change this country.

From Politico:

"They aim to defund the Department of Justice, dismantle the FBI, break up the Department of Homeland Security and eliminate the Departments of Education and Commerce, to name just a few of their larger targets. They want to give the president complete power over quasi-independent agencies such as the Federal Communications Commission, which makes and enforces rules for television and internet companies that have been the bane of Trump’s political existence in the last few years."

"And they want to ensure that what remains of this slashed-down bureaucracy is reliably MAGA conservative — not just for the next president but for a long time to come — and that the White House maintains total control of it. In an effort to implement this agenda — which relies on another Reagan-era idea, the controversial “unitary theory” of the Constitution under which Article II gives the president complete power over the federal bureaucracy — Dans has formed a committee to recruit what he calls “conservative warriors” through bar associations and state attorneys general offices and install them in general counsel offices throughout the federal bureaucracy."

More:

"It has also become clear that, even more today than in 2016, Trump’s personal agenda has become the party’s agenda, despite all the Republicans who have defected from him. And that the new GOP establishment is using his populist insurgency to resurrect — in fact, entirely reconceive — its old Reaganite assault on the federal government. In its current formulation, this has less to do with sheer size — as Nikki Haley bravely pointed out at the Aug. 23 debate, Trump himself “added $8 trillion to our debt” — than on restoring “accountability” to government."

The 2025 Project, IOW, wants to implement a political culture based on the values of a man who is a serial adulterer, credibly found liable for sexual assault/rape, a Cheat, a Liar, and a Fraud, who's under 91 felony indictments!

A low-down, dirty crook. And this is their vision for America!

Why do the Trumps always play the victim?

Because Democrat's are the "victimology party" par excellence? Got intersectionality?

JoeCon: "Because Democrat's are the "victimology party" par excellence? Got intersectionality?"

Oh, that's rich!

The King of Victimhood, DJT:

May 2017: In a commencement ceremony at the Coast Guard Academy, Trump said “no politician in history . . . has been treated worse or more unfairly.”

Presidents Lincoln and JFK would disagree with the sniveling little victim-whiner.

Shaw Kenawe said...

"Over the past eight years, Trump has often devoted as much attention to touting his victimhood and the attacks upon him as to expressing his goals or ideals for the country.

The showman who parlayed his personal brand and a life in the gossip pages and on reality TV into the presidency has cultivated an identity as Trump the martyr. Claiming he has been “harassed, investigated, defamed, slandered, and persecuted like no elected leader in American history,” as he put it in a fundraising appeal last fall, Trump now routinely appeals to supporters to view him as the single figure who will weather attacks on their behalf, standing up for those who’ve been left behind by the country’s wealthy and powerful forces."

"...the country's wealthy and powerful forces..." OF WHICH TRUMP IS ONE! LOL!

His cultists are amazing in their willingness to be conned by this cowardly little worm!

“To protect his incredibly fragile ego, he needs to create this victimization,” said Cohen [Trump's former personal lawyer]. “The problem can’t be him, so who else can it be? That’s where the martyrdom comes in: He has to shift the blame on someone else, and then he can say, ‘The only one standing in between them and you is me.’”
