General John Kelly: "He said that, in his opinion, Mr. Trump met the definition of a fascist, would govern like a dictator if allowed, and had no understanding of the Constitution or the concept of rule of law."

This is my neighborhood, Boston's historic North End.
This video was taken in 2021, but the Christmas decorations are about the same, especially the tree in front of the Paul Revere statue in the Prado, on Hanover Street.
Below the first video is Boston's Faneuil Hall Market Place.
skud, the Christmas decorations along Hanover and Salem Streets haven't been scaled back since 2021. In fact, even more store fronts are arrayed in holly and lights.
Wishing you and your family a peaceful Christmas and healthy 2024.
The church you see at the beginning of the video is St. Stephen's.
"It is an historic church in the North End of Boston, built in 1802–1804 as the New North Church or New North Meeting House, and was designed by the noted architect Charles Bulfinch. It is the only one of the five churches Bulfinch designed in Boston to remain extant."
The Congregationalist church became Unitarian in 1813, and the church was sold to the Roman Catholic Diocese in 1862, and renamed St. Stephen's. It was restored and renovated in 1964-65 by Chester F. Wright, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy was baptised there. She was born on Garden Street in the North End when it was a neighborhood mostly of Irish Catholics.
The park (Prado) where you see the Paul Revere statue was a street in Colonial Boston and it was in that area where Benjamin Franklin's family lived and where he was born.
I believe there are about 60 restaurants in the one square mile that is Boston's North End. I
My parents were born in Italy, so I mainly cook Italian cuisine and don't go to the Italian restaurants. When I eat out, I like to eat in restaurants with a cuisine I don't normally cook.
I'm very fond of French, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Greek, Thai, Vietnamese, Central American, Spanish, Portuguese, North African, and German, just to name a few. And restaurants that serve those cuisines are near my neighborhood and across the river in Cambridge.

Boston has always been a great urban environment in which to live. Great history, great sites, good public transportation and fantastic restaurants.
Do they still go all out decorating for Christmas or like Chicago have dramatically scaled back.

I'd never heard of Faneuil before. I found this... Peter Faneuil, (1700–1743), prominent American. I still can't figure out how to pronounce Faneuil.
Merry Christmas Shaw! If I lived in your neighborhood, I'd probably weigh 300 pounds!!!
Mike
There are two ways Bostonians pronounce it:
"FAN you ell" Hall Market Place, (wrong)
"FAN'll" Hall Market Place (correct)
Peter Faneuil was a slave trader, and a group of Bostonians want to change the name of the building.
I disagree.

Merry Christmas and the best to you in 2024.
Merry Christmas Shaw...
May you be blessed and enjoy lots of time with family and close friends,
May the faithful of the monotheistic religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) realize the error of their ways.
Peace on Earth and Goodwill to all Sentient Beings. May freedom from suffering and confusion be realized.
May compassion and wisdom find a home with those who desire control and power.
