Judge Tanya Chutkan made public portions of a filing by prosecutors setting out their argument for why the case should go forward despite the Supreme Court’s ruling on presidential immunity:
Aide: There will be violence if we keep doing this
Trump’s reaction in a nutshell:
It’s election interference to allow Americans to see how I sought to illegally overturn my 2020 loss. Trump: “Make them riot. Do it.”
Aide: We don’t have evidence of voter fraud
Trump: “The details don’t matter.”
Aide: VP Pence has been moved to a secure location
Trump: “So what?”

The fact Trump is not already behind bars is a travesty of justice. If these new revelations amount to nothing, a distinct possibility given what we've see so far, then the rule of law is already dead and dying.
I am sure it is just a coincidence that harris dips a bit in the polls and the justice department releases new information on the trump case. Maybe they can get him off the campaign trail by hauling him to court for a few weeks. With the election being a month away this is not circumstance.
Getting him and his mouth "off the campaign trail" might increase his
chances.
Trump could have kept this under wraps. He and his lawyers knew it was going to be unsealed and all they had to do was ask for a stay, while the decision was appealed. But he chose not to do so. His lawyers filed no objections at all.
So no Skud, it has nothing to do with the campaign, except that Trump wanted it out there so HE could use it as an issue.
The prosecution was ordered, by the District Court to respond to the SCOTUS decision. As ordered first by the SCOTUS.
He did so. The judge held it under wraps waiting for Trump to ask for a stay of the unsealing. He did nothing!
So it gets unsealed.
Facts buddy... think about it.
BB, Good point. The election was trumps to lose and he is doing just that. For a supposed smart guy he is a moron and I don't mean to offend morons

Trump and his lawyers kept delaying, delaying, and delaying so that it came down to this time frame. Blame Trump and his lawyers, and no one else. And please do some research before you come here with your conspiratorial innuendos.
No one who actually, personally knows Trump ever called him a "smart guy." Clever, manipulative, and dishonest, yes. Smart? No! His own Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson: "He's a f**king moron!"
Can't help but think the odds of Trump getting reelected exceeds the odds he'll ever face accountability.
By a fairly wide margin.
