REPUBLICAN HYPOCRISY

It is instructive to recall what GOP leaders said about John Kerry's selection of John Edwards as hi VP running mate in 2004.

Despite Edwards' SIX YEARS in the US Senate, Republicans ridiculed Edwards as being "too inexperienced" to be a heartbeat away from the presidency.

Here's what some of them said:

Mitt Romney, Washington Times, July 15, 2004

"But Mr. Kerry is too liberal, he says, as is his boyish-looking running mate, John Edwards. Mr. Romney says the North Carolina freshman senator is too inexperienced to be vice president - let alone only an incident away from the presidency. "

President Bush, Washington Times, July 8, 2004

"Bush yesterday criticized Sen. John Edwards for blocking his judicial nominations and bluntly dismissed the one-term North Carolina Democrat as too inexperienced to be a heartbeat away from the presidency."

Republican National Committee (AP, July 7, 2004):

"The Republican National Committee (RNC) dispensed with niceties and unveiled a lengthy report on Senator Edwards highlighting his lack of political and national security experience."

President Bush on Palin: “A great choice for VP."

Mitt Romney lauds McCain’s choice of Palin

RNC Chairman applauds he selection of Palin as VP.

How about that for hypocrisy?

And Republicans wonder why the public despises its brand these days.

There were other Republican women who were more qualified than Palin. I wonder if McCain thinks all women are interchangeable.

I think he just thinks that they are to be bimbos and "trophies." Look at his wife Cindy whom he left his dying first wife for.

He did say that he thought the only job that a V.P. has to do is check on the daily health of the Prez and go to funerals of dignitaries.

He can't be bothered apparently with the details that the main job of a v.p. is to fill in for the Prez if he dies and oh yeah McCain is in his 70's!!!! Lord help us if McPain somehow makes it in there.

Palin is nothing more than a crony, a stooge and she's doing a good "heck of a job Brownie" so far.
