The elderly are being confused by political messages claiming they're going to have their medicare cut so that health care can be extended to all Americans. Sadly, elderly folks are easily confused and often live in residential facilities where they are manipulated shamefully. I was running for a local homeowners association office against a slate of realtors who used their influence to keep opposition candidates, like me, out of their premises.
Beck is deluded and deranged but his methods and message are convincing to the weak minded.
I had a friend once who wanted to run for office Beth. He had the misfortune of living in a heavily republican district and he asked what he should do. I told him to act angry and run as a republican. There's no shame because they don't govern the way they say they will anyway.
He decided winning wasn't worth comprimising his integrity.

It seems to me the Medicare System is being raided for 500 billion buckos. Isn't that the elderly welfare program? I also wonder if E. Emmanual did not have something to do with that strategy. Just a thought, no proof.

Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) received a handwritten note Thursday from Joint Committee on Taxation Chief of Staff Tom Barthold confirming the penalty for failing to pay the up to $1,900 fee for not buying health insurance.
Violators could be charged with a misdemeanor and could face up to a year in jail or a $25,000 penalty, Barthold wrote on JCT letterhead. He signed it “Sincerely, Thomas A. Barthold.

Heck, I'm not gonna pay a cent. That way I go to jail, get 3 squares, a cot, and FREE health care for a year (and I don't have to worry about preexisting conditions). Thanks Mr. Obama. ;-)
Here's a health care plan from a conservative (me) that I would like to have input from my liberal friends at this blog. Here goes.

Population between 20 and 65: 124 million, a large pool of possible buyers of health insurance
Offer catastrophic insurance plans at $25/month (just to use a figure), removing the restrictions concerning buying across state lines equals 3.1 billion dollars per month.
This large sum of possible profits would draw many into the field to provide the service, thus making for more competition.
Competition without the need for government interference nor the need to put the American taxpayer at risk.
