Detroit Free Press:
Muslims and Arab-Americans across metro Detroit -- greatly impacted by the war on terrorism over the past decade -- rejoiced at the news that Osama bin Laden was killed.
"The world is definitely a better place without the patron of all terrorists," said Imam Hassan Al-Qazwini, head of the Islamic Center of America in Dearborn, the largest mosque in a city that has the highest concentration of Arab-Americans in the U.S. Qazwini called bin Laden "the world's most infamous thug."--h/t daily kos
NOTE: It is interesting to see how mean-spirited some conservatives [Sarah Palin] and conservative bloggers are. While a majority of pundits and politicians have given a measure of credit to Mr. Obama as well as our brave military for carrying out this mission, Palin, and those conservative bloggers, are so filled with hate for Mr. Obama, that they refuse to give credit where credit is due, making them more irrelevant than they already are.

Congratulations to our military and intelligence services.
It's at times like this that I wish Hell really existed so this bloodthirsty religious maniac could go there.
God bless SEAL team #6.

all in all, a commendable job by the military branch.... it appears there were no, or few collateral casualties, no loses for the combat team. And a clear, decisive, deliberate and courageous call by the President.
All of the conservative blogs I've visited today will NOT give Mr. Obama any credit for this feat.
They're crediting GWB. Incredible.
Here are the facts on their delusional nonsense.
"They're crediting GWB. Incredible." The funny thing about this is that GWB is giving Obama credit. Go figure.
We don't have to figure it out, tnlib. They hate Mr. Obama, even when he does something that is successful like getting the tyrant who killed 3,000 Americans. That's not opposition, that's sick.
okjimm: yes. And it sort of undoes the idea that Obama is another Jimmy Carter. Compare this to the Iranian rescue debacle.
