Brava to Sophia and everyone involved in this worthy cause.
That's Sophia in the middle of the photo, behind the boy with the black and white shirt.

Another niece, Pat, has been with Heifer International for 18 years. She's the National Community Volunteer Manager.
Kudos to Pat and the good work Heifer International does for Americans and people around the world!

I will support this and find out more, as long as the CCF is not one of those "charities" where most of hte money doesn't go to help people, or is run by millionaires raking off massive sums for themselves (United Way falls into this latter category).
Your niece is so far ahead of her peers.
All Americans would benefit from such a trip. Helping others is good for the soul, and seeing how others live helps you put your own life and circumstances into perspective.
Props to your niece for getting involved in a worthwhile cause.
Something she will profit from the rest of her life. After getting her degree, my daughter joined the Peace Corps for 26 months in Eastern Europe, it changed her life.
Nice to see some of our young adults giving back instead of just taking.
