And I loved Gene Kelly's dancing as well. Trying to decide which dancer is better than the other, for me, is like trying to decide if Joe DiMaggio were a better ball player than Ted Williams.
They were both phenomenal. Even though one was a You-Know-What.
As a Bostonian, I cannot bring myself to even type out the dreaded name that begins with a capital "Y!"

Always wished Mrs. Rational and I could dance like Fred and Ginger. But Latin was our specialty.
Sublime elegance.
Ginger did everything Fred did, backwards and in high heels.
The woman makes the man look good.
The man "is" good. Light on his feet, graceful and precise. Not so much in this one but in other routines it seems his feet barely touch the floor.
Elegant is right. As opposed to Gene Kelly who was so athletic; almost a gymnast.
