General John Kelly: "He said that, in his opinion, Mr. Trump met the definition of a fascist, would govern like a dictator if allowed, and had no understanding of the Constitution or the concept of rule of law."

What The GOP Thinks About The Latino, Hispanic Community
My first instinct is to say that just because King says it's true doesn't mean it is. Sadly, this time I think he is. So much for rebranding which was just another GOP lie to begin with.
I think he is quote loathesome, but Anon, I don't quite think that 49% of the electorate is old conservative white people. That's demographically "off".
If King is from an area of Arizona near the border, I can understand why he might jump to this erroneous conclusion. Also, he wouldn't be the first politician to use hyperbole in trying to convey a point. Democrats certainly do it too at least as frequently as Republicans, perhaps more. I don't know I haven't kept track of the numbers. Not that that is any excuse for ANYONE making foolish, inflammatory statements in public.
Drug trafficking from Mexican Drug Lords is an enormous problem both here in the Unted States and in Mexico. Most U.S. citizens fail to realize that hundreds of thousands of perfectly decent Mexican people are, themselves, terrorized by Drug Thugs in their OWN neighborhoods. I have Mexican friends who have relatives in Mexico who are afraid to leave their houses, and do so only when strictly necessary and with great trepidation.
As you know, I am a Republican, but much more a Libertarian than a typical establishment RINO. The GOP frankly DISGUSTS me -- but for very different reasons than it probably disgusts most of you.
At any rate, if you would like to now what THIS individual thinks about this particular issue, please read this statement I made at a "conservative" blog just a few days ago. It may surprise you:
"Sorry to be the one to say it, but your assumption that all these illegal immigrants are able to wander back and forth across the border at will with impunity is patently false.
"I, personally, know of a case where a married man with two children left the USA and went to Mexico, because his mother was dying. That was more than six months ago, and so far, despite several thwarted attempts, he's been unable to return to his family.
"Now get this: He had been here for fifteen years, had bought a house, WAS working very hard to SUPPORT his family, and had never tried to get public assistance of any sort.
"Just because he went home to see his dying mother at her request, he is now trapped in Mexico. Meanwhile, his FAMILY lost their house because he was no longer here to pay the mortgage, and they are now dependent on -- guess what?
"PUBLIC ASSISTANCE!!!
"Our brilliant, infinitely wise, wholly benevolent government at work!
"Does this make any sense to you? The CHILDREN are AMERICAN CITIZENS. Their mother is a decent person. Their future is now very grim, indeed.
"You could argue, of course, that they had no right to be here in the first place, and those children should never have been born, of course, but we MUST deal with REALITY in a HUMANE fashion, or we do not qualify as DECENT people.
"This whole stinking mess is OUR fault for not having taken proper care of it DECADES ago.
"If you doubt me, please reread The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery paying very close attention to what the author has to say about "THE BAOBABS." It's a beautifully appropriate allegory of whose point NO ONE should remain unaware."
Thank you for that Free Thinke, a wonderful statememt that all conservatives, libertarians, republicans and all other people who think beyond just the hyperbole and the jaded headlines undoubtedly understand. As well as likely agreeing with

If I didm't know better I'd think King was related to Louie Gohmert.
The Republicans keep these absurd people as spokesmen for their brand, then wonder why only old conservative white people vote for their candidates.
