Chris Hayes Tells Us The Truth About The A.C.A. Rollout

Chris Hayes nails it on the A.C.A. roll-out and calls out the hyenas in the MSM and the right who have done all they could to sabotage, obstruct, and misinform the American people on this badly needed health care legislation.

The right has no alternative to the A.C.A.

All they have is NO! NO! NO!

Louisiana voters elected Republican Vance McAllister in a runoff to fill the state’s vacant Fifth District U.S. House seat on Saturday. McAllister, a businessman who embraced the expansion of Medicaid available to the state under the Affordable Care Act, defeated a Republican party favorite who called for full Obamacare repeal.

In a district won by Mitt Romney with 61 percent of the vote in 2012, two Republicans were the top vote-getters in a 14-candidate October primary. McAllister, who received nearly 60 percent of the vote in Saturday’s special election, criticized much of the Affordable Care Act, but also criticized Gov. Bobby Jindal’s (R) decision to dismantle charity hospitals in the state, and to reject its Medicaid expansion, which would expand the qualifications for Medicaid recipients and extend healthcare coverage to hundreds of thousands of uninsured Louisianans. “Our governor and Sen. Riser right here have gutted [heath care] to the core and privatized it.”

McAllister’s top opponent, State Senator Neil Riser (R), received support from House Republican Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA), three of the four other Louisiana Republican Congressmen, the National Rifle Association, FreedomWorks and, more tacitly, Gov. Jindal. Riser ran ads saying that he would go to Washington to balance the budget and stop Obamacare — not make friends — and slammed McAllister for ” attempting to redefine himself and stand with President Obama.”

Chris hit it on the head.
Just like the democrat led evacuation of new orleans, you do know the mayor and govoner were democrats and refused help. Obamacare is an extension of the democrats inability to accomplish anything except increase dependence on government handouts and billing the middle class.

"...the democrats inability to accomplish anything..."

Really, Anon? (Or is that you, skud?)

Which political party was in office when the allies won WWII? Which political party was in office when the criminal responsible for 9/ll was caught and killed?

You may feel good when you come here and make your silly partisan comments, but they also make you look foolish.

Which party was in office when the first Great Depression hit this country? And then the second one, The Great Recession and Financial Collapse of 2007-8?

I wouldn't be too quick in writing the obituary on the A.C.A.

Lots of folks did the same thing with Medicare. Ever hear of that?

The democrats of the WW II generation were decidedly NOT the democrats of this generation Shaw. Surely you know that.

A false equivalency.

The commenter said the Democrats do not have the ability to accomplish ANYTHING.

Whether or not the Democrats of the 1940s were the same as the current Democrats in Congress is, I believe, beside the point. I pointed out that "the Democrats" certainly DID and DO know how to accomplish things.

BTW, if I remember my history, there were plenty of Dems who were liberal even by today's standards in those days. It was a party that encompassed conservative AND liberal factions.

Your last statement made the point nicely Something they (and republicans) should contemplate today.

Oh, that's right I believe 39 dems just did. Kudos to them.

But back to the subject of the post.

Democratic hyperbole and Republican hyperbole. We are IMO officially a partisan nation with hyperbole all around.

ZZZZZZ

No sense in getting serious. Our politicians nor the media are. So... What the hell.

Lets talk about butts and style with maybe a bit of Dancing with the Stars and Uncle Grandpa tossed in.

RN, you very well know that this contentious political atmosphere is as old as the Republic. Jefferson and Adams were horrible to each other. This is American politics: destroy, not win through argument.

I'm perfectly content to wait and see how this all shakes out. Eventually the geeks will work out the bugs and security will be improved. Might check it out myself then.

If it implodes oh well. If if sails oh well. Really I'm rather ambivalent actually. Even if I don't have healthcare. My wife does and that's what is important. I'm rolling the dice at this point.

The credibility loss suffered by Obama and his administration, combined with the unaffordable cost for many is by far the larger issue for them as I see it.

Buying popcorn and beer and going to enjoy the show.

Thinks usually work out, or not. This will be no different.

[NOTE: More than a year ago Chris Hayes of NBC News said on air that he was “uncomfortable” with calling our fallen war veterans “heroes.” Let the following serve as a well-deserved tribute to this immortal imbecile. I see from the material presented here at PE that these sentiments are more warranted than ever.]

__ Here’s to Chris Hayes __

Let us hope the days

Of the jerk Chris Hayes

Are numbered

And may he be annoyed

When he's soon unemployed

And by unpaid bills encumbered.

Vengeance belongs to God

But wouldn’t it be odd

If Hayes died at peace while he slumbered?

Mr. F.T.,

I'm shocked! Shocked! to read your words.

Weren't you and your friends the first to claim "Freedom of Speech" in the blog post humiliating the FLOTUS?

Mr. Hayes has as much right to his opinion as your have to yours.

I take it that you disagree with him, and I've published your opinion of him.

Free Thinke, while the feeling may not be mutual I respect your intelligence, your talent, your seemingly endless well of knowledge, and what I believe is your human decency. I also happen to oten agree with you.

What I stumble with is understanding what you hope to accomplish with your sometimes less than cultured presentations when you disagree with a position. I have the same difficulty when some on the left do the same thing. It's just I always though libertarians and conservatives were better.

As for Hayes and his statement last year, while understand the context in which he made it I resolved never to listen to or read the buffoon ever again. BUT, I will support his right to say stupid shit as long as he respect our right to say sane things. That is America.

You are a Christian, I an atheist and on the concept of vengeance we disagree. I see vengeance as an ugly construct of man, the vehicle used to get even with those we disagree with or dislike. In my view man has simply transferred vengeance to the realm of God to justify his own desire for vengeance.

Even as an atheist (after having spent many years in bible school reading the Old and New Testaments) I always understood from the teaches God was love, nurturing, caring, etc. It seems to me God may be as much about control and power and maybe just dangling the carrot to get followers.

You do have a way FT of getting individuals and collectivists to open up.

Of course you do. It's called partisanship. You always think you're better than the opposite.

You're not. Free Stinke is a peerfect example of the conservative/libertarian hate machine. Only he thinks he thinks he's better then everyone else. his hatefests prove he's just like all the harebrained nuts on the right.
