FRAUD, NOT PARODY





Conservative bloggers have allowed one of their own, who has stolen my avatar and uses the names "Shaw Keeawe"  and "Shaw Keewee," to post at their blogs.

 If you see the fraudulent "Shaw Keeawe" or "Shaw Keewee" on any blog, you only have to link to the name to know it is not the real Shaw Kenawe.


I know the difference between parody and deliberate fraud, unlike the conservative who is pretending to be me by displacing one letter "n" in "Kenawe" and substituting an extra "e" for "Keeawe."

 This is not parody.  Parody is clever and witty.  The impostor is neither.  He's boorish and dumb.
What this conservative impostor is doing is a form of internet harassment, and I don't understand why the otherwise decent bloggers like "AOW," who absolutely KNOW the fraud is not me, allow this sort of abuse and dirty trick on her blog to continue.

We are so very lucky to have such a great looking First Family. Especially the Beautiful and Gracious First Lady.
But what I can’t understand is the consistent criticism of First Lady Michelle Obama’s posterior? Why? And when will it cease? I find the constant and apostrophe abuse to be quite appalling, and shameful. We certainly didn’t have this kind of abuse and shameful behavior when George Bush was in office and his drunken daughters were in the headlines almost daily. I say God bless this President and his beautiful family..

There is two things that marks this Presidency over any other, the fact that he is the first Black president, and the fact the he has an unusual name as well as of the lack of respect demonstrated by having been more lies told about him not only spread by those in the public who do not like him, but by elected officials of the opposing party than has ever been seen previously.

This isn't the first time conservative bloggers/commenters have harassed me.

But here's the thing: If they allow this impostor to do to my blogging ID what he has done, then will they expect anyone to feel sorry for them when it happens to their blogging ID. Because it is the easiest thing in bloggingdom to steal someone's avatar and name.

But no one can steal a Blogger profile number.

Also the Shaw Keewee and Shaw Keeawe impostor blocks his profile page.

I think the person doing this is demented, but I also think the bloggers who knowingly allow this sort of fraud to remain on their blogs are enablers who encourage this sort of sick behavior.

I understand your irritation, Ms Shaw. I don't like this kind of thing either, and routinely delete it whenever I see it, but why assume it's a CONSERVATIVE who is making all this mischief?

The sentiments expressed by these "Shaw" variants have been INTENSELY supportive of the standard liberal-progressive point of view on nearly every issue, and highly accusatory towards conservatives -- nothing the least bit "friendly" there, I assure you.

ALL of it I categorize as "BOILERPLATE." We get BOILERPLATE posts -- i.e. canned, predigested, highly verbose, set "speeches" that tend to go on and on that have NOTHING to do with the topic posted ALL the TIME. I don't know anyone who likes them, but many of us have obligations that prevent us from constantly policing our blogs.

This stuff gets "spammed" hither thither and yon without qualm or conscience. It comes pretty equally from BOTH "sides" -- or certainly appears to.

A LAMENTABLE CUSTOM to be sure, but one over which we bloggers Alas! have no real control.

IF someone is trying to get your goat, the best way to deal with the situation in my never humble opinion is not to let him, her or it know that he, she or it has gotten to you.

Difficult, I know, when we've been made a target for abuse, but necessary, if we hopes to maintain our sanity.

I have some information a techie friend of mine has given me that points to the fact that the impostor is a conservative.

I will not divulge what we've found.

Second, he hasn't "gotten my goat," I've just decided to expose him.

His objective is to parody me, but as I've pointed out, he's neither clever nor witty. In fact, in some instances, he has stolen my own texts from my blog posts and comments and posted them under the fake "Shaw KeeWee" and "Shaw Keeawe" names at conservative blogs ONLY.

In the past, this sort of dishonest, underhanded, and cowardly tactic that has been used against me has come solely from conservatives.

There is absolutely no reason to believe a liberal blogger would do this to me.

But frankly WTF do you even care what a shit bag like this has to say. Those that know your integrity will understand the shit bag is nothing but blown bag of hot air.

Irrespective of what Free Thinke said, and I respect him as well, the person doing this is a conservative republican. Of this there is NO doubt.

Your attempts to characterize other bloggers as somehow morally challenged because they TOO have been victimized and have difficulty dealing with it, themselves, is not only unfair, it is unworthy of the real you I have come to know.

There are at least ten weird ID's that post BOILERPLATE and ridiculous invective.

I would never accuse "leftists" of being the only ones who use dirty tricks in the political arena, but the province is certainly not exclusive to "conservatives."

In fact that is what the entire political process has become -- one big bag of lies, deceit, corruption, fraud, calumny, spite promoted with the ruthlessness, uncommon zeal and feral cunning egregiously characteristic of our current president and the vile influences in which he has been steeped and with which he has been surrounded and supported all his life.

I understand AOW is dealing with a difficult medical problem. But she did respond to the impostor and even acknowledged that he is impersonating me by calling him "fake Shaw." Why give him the use of her blog to do this to me?

Would any of the conservative bloggers do the same if, say, a blogger pretended to be "Free Thinke" by leaving off the ending "e" in "Thinke" and stealing his avatar? Would the conservatives encourage an impostor of a conservative blogger?

I know I would not.

Parody is one thing; fraud is entirely different. And the purpose of it is to intimidate and be abusive.

If we don't stand against these sort of bullying tactics, then other demented impostors will feel free to do this to anyone.

No.

So it isn't being done to you.

As I said, I understand parody, and parody is an art.

I'd be able to laugh off a parody, but what the jackass impostor is doing is not parody. He hasn't the wit or intelligence to pull that off.

He's being a nasty, cowardly little weasel.

Let him have his fun.

There are ways of stopping him, as my techie friends have advised me.

The only sure way to stop these imposters from getting their comments on the blogs is to use comment moderation, or monitor your blog around the clock.

Immediate deletion of comments is impossible for some.

Lots of deletions hijakcs a blog because then the blogger who owns the blog doesn't have time to write posts.

If only blogspot offered the option of banning certain IPs without paying for extra html or java script (whatever the term is)! Other blogging platforms have that option -- usually for a monthly fee.

Shaw Kenawe, if you have a way to go after the imposters, by all means do that

Why should I give a damn? Well, because someone is pretending to be me and posting at several conservative blogs. One commenter actually thought he was responding to me when he was responding to the fraud. I confirmed this by email with the commenter.

As I've explained, parody is an art, the person doing this hasn't the intelligence to pull that off, so his motive is simply to harass me. What he's engaging in is internet harassment and bullying, and we all know what sort of losers deal in that form of abuse.

Occasionally I might still visit a right wing forum if only for purposes of silent reconnaissance, nothing more.

I never had a problem with a stolen moniker, although I have often been a subject of taunts and ridicule. Silly wing nuts, they have even posted recipes on octopus cuisine but little do they know: You have to catch one to eat one, and this cephalopod cannot be caught. Why?

I am the Platonic ideal of an octopus. You can destroy a wooden table, chop one into kindling and burn it; but you can never destroy the abstract ideal, the practical utility of a table, or eat this (O)CT(O)PUS. I am immutable.

No matter how hard they try, stealthy trolls cannot alter the real Shaw either. She is the One, the Only, the Immutable Shaw. Good luck trying!

Yes we do, certainly I can speak from experience having been harassed by both liberal and conservative bloggers. We've communicated on this and we share the same disgust of asshats like this.

I eventually simply discontinued responding and went to comment moderation, I have no intention of returning to non moderation. The harrassing comments have almost completely stopped.

I realize your present situations is a bit different as no one, at least to my knowledge has stolen my name or site name. I chose to run with my identity and never chose an Avatar.

At any rate consider this, keep feeding a wolf and they will return. They crave attention and notoriety. Loving the adrenalin rush they get they will continue as long as their target subject continues giving attention. That is my posistion anyway

Good luck catching and stoppping the asshat.
