President Obama

President Barack Hussein Obama will leave office with a 60% approval rating.

Only three other modern presidents had an approval rating in the 60s when they left office:  Dwight Eisenhower, Ronald Reagan, and Bill Clinton.  President Obama joins that special group.

Meanwhile, the incoming PEOTUS, Donald J. Trump, has the lowest approval rating of any modern president-elect. He's at a paltry 37% approval.

That is the reality that Trump and his supporters will do their best to convince themselves that this is somehow "fake."

But Trump's low approval number reflects the American people's realization of the fact that when Mr. Obama leaves office tomorrow, intelligence, dignity, and human decency will leave the White House with him.

Thank you, Mr. President

What all that tells me is the American people are fed up with comgress and gridlock. Trump who managed to piss off not only democrats and liberals he went after his newly found own party as well. Hooray! Somebody is teling it like it is, FINALLY. Change is on the way.

So, enough Americans, even some independents and a few democrats went in for Trump in enough numbers to tip the EC his way. Combined with this was a poorly ran HRC campaign and the democratic party's base had the illusion she had ii all sewed up.

Here we are with no going back. Many who voted for Trump out of frustration, in the misguided hope he would "straighten things" out in DC are now realizing what a dreadful mistake they made. Hence his 37% (and declining) approval rating as he enters office.

All American voters will hopefully be MUCH wiser in 2018 and 2020.

What Trump does not realize is that tomorrow will be the high point in his administration. It is all downhill for him from then on.

RN and Jerry,

Have you seen this:

Trump Proposes Military Parades in DC

"In an interview Wednesday with the Washington Post, President-elect Donald Trump was asked just exactly how he plans to make good on his promise to make America great again. One potential he floated to the Post‘s Karen Tumulty: military parades in DC and New York showing off the armed forces’ human and materiel strength.

The Post reports:
“Being a great president has to do with a lot of things, but one of them is being a great cheerleader for the country,” Trump said. “And we’re going to show the people as we build up our military, we’re going to display our military'

“That military may come marching down Pennsylvania Avenue. That military may be flying over New York City and Washington, D.C., for parades. I mean, we’re going to be showing our military,” he added.

Since Trump prefers the former Communist head of the KGB over real American heroes (John Lewis), who's surprised that he would want to emulate what a totalitarian strongman does to show off his military strength. I wonder what sort of military salute Trump will give as those tanks and missiles roll by is reviewing stand.

Where oh where oh where are the rabid right wing bloggers and news sites who screamed their bloody throats raw about Obama being a Communist? Are they all blind to what will be moving into our White House?

Have they nothing to say about this travesty?

I saw that Shaw. It looks like we will have our own version of Red Square in DC. Perhaps Putin will be a parade consultant for Trump.

Yes, and I believe President Obama's approval will continue to rise as the Trump debacle goes on. Hope he gets to work on the memoir soon. Can't wait to read it.

And there's this:

370 Cities Across The World Just Announced Trump Inauguration Protests

Note: No protests across the world when Mr. Obama was inaugurated. Instead there were celebrations and laudations around the world for him.

Steve Lopez:

We’ll have a president who believes in Russia but not in the 1st Amendment.

Who insisted Obama was from Africa, and commemorated Martin Luther King Jr. weekend by attacking a legendary black civil rights leader.

Who refused to release his tax returns, called himself smart for not paying taxes and still became a hero to working-class people unhappy about the rigged economy.

Who ripped Wall Street and Hillary Clinton’s ties to Goldman Sachs, then used the firm as a farm system for his inner circle, nominating as Treasury secretary someone who made a fortune when his bank foreclosed on thousands of working folks.

Donald Trump promised to drain the swamp, and already he has started refilling it with champagne, surrounding himself with one-percenters.

Energy tycoons. Climate change deniers. An alt-right mogul. A billionaire chosen for education secretary who doesn’t seem to like public schools. A Labor Department nominee who said of his company’s Carl’s Jr. TV ads, “I like beautiful women eating burgers in bikinis.” And to lead health and human services, Trump picked a congressman who invested in a medical device manufacturing company days before introducing a bill that would have benefited the company, according to the lying press.

Americans have been promised plentiful, good-paying jobs. Coal mines will prosper once more and auto manufacturing will thrive anew despite decades of automation. Inner-city decay will be reversed. Tariffs on imports will rise but the cost of goods will not. Roads, bridges and airports will be rebuilt. Terrorists will be exterminated. People and corporations will get huge tax breaks. The wall will get built, and we’re still not paying for it.

That’s the Trump plan in this new era of magical thinking, details to come.

All great countries must have military parades regularly don't cha know? Especially when the highest leadership levels have no idea of what is needed OR what makes a nation truly great. Sadly We have arrived at that juncture in our history.

I think I hear taps playing softly in the background.

It's rumored that Trump's first dance will be to the immortal "My Way." How prophetic for millions of rational thinking Americans, since the first line is "And now the end is near."

37% approve of Drumpf?

Bless their hearts. It's really cute to see them squealing for joy as Ultimate Porky takes over the White House from one of the most popular presidents we've had.

Hey Mike, here are the opening lines to "My Way."

LOL!

And now, the end is near
And so I face the final curtain

Remember, back in the day, when newly elected presidents enjoyed a honeymoon?

Donald Trump isn’t getting one. His adversaries are in combat mode, as if the campaign never ended. Demonstrations are planned. Money is pouring into the coffers of liberal groups. Activists are calling for an ongoing “resistance” movement.

Mr. Trump is getting a taste of his own medicine because he, too, is behaving as if the campaign never ended. For weeks, he has continued to lob provocative tweets about his critics and the media, derided people who supported Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, reveled in his election victory and took a victory lap of “thank you” rallies across the country in December.

Now, when he takes office Jan. 20, Mr. Trump will be facing some of the most virulent opposition ever to confront a new president. His approval ratings, while on the rise, are still the lowest of any president-elect in recent polling history.

President Barack Obama in 2009 faced resistance from the fledgling tea-party movement, but polls suggested that many opponents were cutting him slack as he was inaugurated: 67% viewed Mr. Obama positively in December 2008, compared to 41% who viewed Mr. Trump favorably in December 2016, according to Wall Street Journal/NBC News polls.

A majority of Americans dislike this thin-skinned narcissistic bully.

RESIST. RESIST. RESIST.

Trump is the most hated incoming president in modern American history. A majority of real Americans hate his fat, immoral, digusting guts. But the conservatives are kissing his gigantic fat ass. They have no morals either. Everything he fks ups from from tomorrow on is all theirs. Believe me. Bigly.
