General John Kelly: "He said that, in his opinion, Mr. Trump met the definition of a fascist, would govern like a dictator if allowed, and had no understanding of the Constitution or the concept of rule of law."

On this July 3...
let's not stop resisting the malignant narcissist who daily defiles our country with his juvenile antics and vulgar insults to our American values and ideals.
And let's remind ourselves of Founding Father Thomas Jefferson's wise words about freedom of the press:
Thomas Jefferson:
"Were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter."
Charles M. Blow:
"We must remind ourselves that Trump's very presence in the White House defiles it and the institution of the presidency. Rather than rising to the honor of the office, Trump has lowered the office with his whiny, fragile, vindictive pettiness."
"Republicans have bound themselves up with Trump. His fate is their fate. They have surrendered any moral authority to which they once laid claim -- rightly or not. If Trump goes down, they all do."
"We must always remember that although individual Americans made the choice to vote affirmatively for him or actively withhold their support for his opponent, those decisions were influenced, in ways we cannot calculate, by Russian interference in our election, designed to privilege Trump."
"Trump is an abomination and a cancer on the country, and none of us can rest until he no longer holds the reins of power."

How can we honor this country’s birth?!
By impeaching and kicking the Orange Cheeto's fat disgusting arse out of the White House.
And take his mafia family with him.
I honor my country by being patient. The wheels of Justice grind slow but only because they crush and destroy malfeasance
Dear Grey One talks sass,
"The Arc of the Moral Universe Is Long, But It Bends Toward Justice"
Wishing you a peaceful and righteous Fourth of July.
Anonymous,
I understand your frustrations. If Lord Dampnut continues with his juvenile behavior, he'll take himself from the presidency.
Nice quote Shaw...
I've been thinking a lot recently about the 4th, what it means and how it should be celebrated.
In Mexico, where as you know I spend almost half my year, people there celebrate their Independence Day in September. And everyone takes part in the celebrations. But everyone also knows that what they are celebrating is their freedom from Spain. Period. They don't celebrate how great their country is, because even in areas where that is true, they know they still have problems.
In a sense, they separate out the celebration of independence from the worship of their country. Because Mexico has some issues, clearly. And everyone there knows it.
Here in America, in most areas, our celebration does not seem to be about freedom perse, but more about celebrating America. And sadly, for many the America we are called to celebrate has not always been such a wonderful place.
So as you wished The Grey One a peaceful and righteous Fourth of July, I will be celebrating that my ancestors took a step away from Great Britain and decided to embark on a different path. I will celebrate our freedom and everything else about America I can. But I can only do that facing the reality that, like Mexico, there is still much to be done for everyone to live in the moment of "Free at last."
Have a great few days in the cradle of our nations founding! I'm traveling south for the next 2 months.
Jefferson's quote you cited above is one of my favorites Shaw.
tRump is deserving of only our disgust, disdain, and continued resistance. One way or the other he'll be defeated. Either by impeachment followed by removal from office or he'll be defeated at the polls in 2020.
Many who supported tRump are now regretting that they did. They won't repeat their 2016 mistake.
Wishing everyone a great 4th, health, peace and love.
"I am so confused when people chant "Lock Him Up." Do they mean Flynn? Kushner? Sessions? Manafort? If Trump, which one? Or Trump's lawyer?"
~Congressman Ted Lieu
