Memory Flashback: Republicans Who Trashed Trump Now Are His Biggest Supporters

Flashback to what Republican Senators and others said about Trump in 2016:

Ted Cruz on Trump:  He is a "pathological liar."

Marco Rubio: He's a "con artist."

Lindsey Graham: He's a “race-baiting, xenophobic, religious bigot.”

Mick Mulvaney, then a Republican congressman, had the simplest summary:

“He’s a terrible human being.”

Those are only a few Goopers who saw Trump for the "terrible human being" that he is, and now those hypocritical Goopers suck up to Trump The Terrible!

Trump hasn't changed who he is.

He's still a race-baiting, xenophobic, religious bigot, a pathological liar, a con artist, a serial adulterer, a cheat, and ignorant of the Constitution and how America's government works. He's shown America that he is willing to use extortion on a foreign government to further his political ambitions and endanger the country he swore to protect from enemies foreign and domestic. It's clear he's the one we need to protect ourselves from, because not only is he corrupt, but Donald J. Trump is a "terrible human being."

And here's Trump's legacy to young Americans:

This is not a proceeding. It's a coup attempt, and it will never work. And why is Adam Schiff in charge of the Impeachment?
as I thought she was for allowing this circus to continue .

Republicans in the Senate are also questioning why Schiff is running impeachment

Under normal circumstances, the House Intelligence Committee would not have jurisdiction over the witnesses in the impeachment proceedings that are now being held in the Capitol Basement

I'll type it over and this time, I’ll type it slowly and use small words. What is the reason that Adam Shiff is in charge and is running the impeachment. Sorry, did I use too many large words? Let's me try again. Why the HELL is Shiff in charge of the Impeachment?

Pelosi is the House Speaker over this farce of a “Impeachment”she knows that this is unconstitutional.
Is that slow enough for you ?
Schiff is the head of the intelligence committee, the intelligence committee should not be running an Impeachment hearing! Period!
Schiff has already lied to the American public 4 times that we know of.. and Schiff should be disqualified from running this investigation where his committee members or his staff are witnesses, and who have had contact with the Whistleblower .
We Want Complete TRANSPARENCY! We Want Our Due Possess, we want the right to face and question the SO CALLED WHISTLE BLOWER !
These DemoRATS are NOT going to Over-Turn the 2016 Election!

It’s obvious what's happening here Pelosi and Schiff are looking to have Secret Trials and Judgments so that Nancy Pelosi can rise to the Presidency. This is the old Stalin technique of doing things in Russia, suggesting a SECRET ballot for impeachment be held, so that the people would not be able to punish the people in charge of the coup. Having insiders posing as the president’s trustees, spying on Congress members, the FBI lying ala Comey and the rest of that MISERABLE bunch such as Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.
.. Well it’s NOT working, and it’s NOT going to work. You IDIOTS are only shooting yourselves in the foot.

To Steve: Your time spent cutting and pasting someone else's words would have been better spent if you had educated yourself on why Rep. Schiff is leading the Impeachment Inquiry. Anyone with half a brain would have figured it out by simply googling. You chose to cut and paste some idiot's whiny screed.

A great part of the reason we have Trump as POTUS is because folks like "Steve" don't deal in facts or intelligence, they cut and paste moronic texts that are full of sound and fury and signify idiocy by Trump supporters.

People who use their brains KNOW why Adam Schiff is heading up the Impeachment Inquiry. Poor Steve is too lazy to found out for himself.

Don't be like Steve.

Forget it Shaw. No amount of evidence will ever persuade an idiot like Steve.

What he posted is a cut and paste job from several far right news sites. Steve has barely enough smarts to find the keyboard on his pc. And he's too stupid to know how to google anything for information.

Had the democrats done a better job with the candidate selection and had the polls and press been professional we would not be in the mess we are in. The DNC selected who their candidate was eight years before the election and they stuck with her. The pollsters and press took it for granted that the princess couldn't be beat by a orange hair non-politician so they didn't do their job and look for accurate information.

Wake up and oops they were wrong and now it is payback time. The coasties are furious that the current president was elected by the middle of America not the book ends. The DNC didn't see that the breadbasket middle class was tired of being blamed for not creating your own business, paying higher HC premiums and give away programs for those who Choose not to work. They we tired of no wadge growth and employment opportunities for over eight years.

Move forward to today. The DNC has a whole stage of people who will not help the middle class and are more give-a-way than the previous administration. But they do have an answer, if you can't beat him impeach him because although that will just hurt the country they don't care because they will have won something. What they really need to do is do away with the EC because middle America doesn't know how to run their lives. They need to be sheep herded in order to stay in line and the government know best.
Biden is having a difficult time putting a sentence together, Sanders is a walking time bomb and Warren has a plan that will only cost 30 trillion dollars and 4 million jobs but will provide for those 13 million who don't have healthcare and will provide quality healthcare for none.

Biden puts sentences together just fine, skid. You should worry more about your 3rd grade 'President' who can't spell even basic words and who tweets like an enraged crack head with dementia. Seriously, it never fails to astound me how right wing nuts obsess over our candidates and every single little flaw they can find yet when confronted with major problems ith their own, it's suddenly -- 'Oh look, a kitten in a tree.' I know you on the right like to think of yourselves as astute, educated and clear-headed but playing the constant game of 'whataboutism' and always playing the victim of some horrible left wing attack, only makes you look silly and empty of ideas. Sadly, that's exactly what the right has been for decades now - empty of ideas, of morals and of common sense.

Skud... are you as cynical regarding the RNC? For years it was said the Republicans chose their candidate based on a hierarchy or whether they had paid their dues. Dole in 1996 was one of those candidates. He got his reward for being Ford's VP and a reliable acerbic hatch man towards the Dems. But he was not well liked in the GOP establishment.

McCain? Same thing... in 2008 he got the nod mostly as his lifetime achievement award and for not crying to loudly when the Bushies ran the purest racist messages ever, up to that time, against a candidate in 2000.

You stated... "They we tired of no wadge growth and employment opportunities for over eight years."

I agree, ppl were not happy with the speed of recovery after the Great Recession. Well what will they think now? Wage growth is still stagnant, even after Pres Trump and the GOP pushed through another tax cut that we were promised would raise wages. Unemployment is again on the rise in key battleground states.

And now the GOP wants another tax cut. Which of course will produce a bigger deficit, as always happens when the GOP cuts taxes. Because, as history has shown, those tax cuts never, ever pay for themselves as promised.

So what should we do? Reelect Trump and the GOP? Roll the dice with the Dems? Make sure our passports are renewed and prepare to move on?

Thoughts?

Thanks for that commentary skudrunner. I was duly reminded of exactly what America's bigly-est issue is.

Ray, I know. You can't convince anyone who insists on being immune to facts.

BlueBull "Sadly, that's exactly what the right has been for decades now - empty of ideas, of morals and of common sense."

And the Goopers chose a perfect wreck of a human being to embody their corruption.

Dave the only statements you'll get from skudrunner are ones that trash President Obama and HIllary. He'll ignore the ongoing wreckage Trump and the GOP is visiting upon America.

Rev, We need to forget about the rising deficit because it is on a never ending upward path. NO politician will try to bring down the deficit because they would be one term and they love their pampered and elite lifestyle. I haven't seen a goon candidate from either side since 1984. I certainly don't see any good candidates this time around from either side. Look into the main cause of the cause of the last recession and how effective it was managed by the powers in charge. A trillion given away to supporters and zero jobs created seems to be weak leadership.

Ms Shaw did not disappoint in her standing up for BHO. What she won't admit is that he did nothing for the middle class except attack us.

Blueballs - If you consider a massive give-a-way as ideas, you are correct the current line up of dems have those ideas.

RN - Contribute something

Why? You are the broken record I've tired of skudrunner. Shaw and Dave can continue to feed you so you can have your daily fun talking about republiquack talking points and bashing Obama. A far better man AND president than the Big Orange Haired Turd is, ever could be, or ever will be.

Keep on trucking your delusions skud

Skud... I'm a firm middle class guy and know many others like me. Many of them were not Obama fans but all of them were thankful to be able to get health insurance as a result of Obama Care. Many, like me and my wife, had been effectively shut out of the market due to preexisting conditions.

Finally we had a way to make sure we didn't lose everything if we were to experience a medical emergency. For me personally, that insurance saved my life and made sure my family was not left in financial ruin by the massive medical bill run up to save my life.
