It looks like he really IS going out with a whimper!

 LOL!

Who on his staff thought this was a good idea????

Oh dear! We just knew this would happen:

Re: Trump pardoning disgraced felon, Michael Flynn:

Pardons are only for guilty people; accepting one is an admission of guilt.

In 1915, the Supreme Court wrote in Burdick v. United States that a pardon “carries an imputation of guilt; acceptance a confession of it.”

Over the years, many have come to see a necessary relationship between a pardon and guilt. Ford carried the Burdick quote in his wallet, defending the Nixon pardon by noting that it established Nixon’s guilt.

In light of that report, it is now established that Michael Flynn is a convicted felon, and Trump's pardon confirmed that.

How many convicted and pardoned felons does that make? Too many to count in the most dishonest, corrupt administration in my lifetime.

Trump will leave the presidency in shame -- distinguished only by his unending colossal lies, cheating, and fraud.

Whoever it was, was trolling him. I bet he's made plenty of them pretty mad at various times.

Infidel753, I agree. Revenge is a dish best served cold. A little desk for a little man.

As it relates to the pardon of Flynn...

President Ford pardoned Nixon and Nixon never accepted that he was guilty. I may not like that a president can do this, but it's constitutional. As I've told my other liberal friends, get used to it. The next few weeks are going to see a bevy of ppl who the left hates getting pardoned. Manafort, Gates, etc. I wouldn't be surprised to see Trump read the tea leaves and decide to issue blanket pardons in the style of Ford, for each member of his family who served in the White House.

Let's not forget, the left, specifically Bill Clinton had some pretty pardons out there too.

Personally, I hope Trump pardons them all and then tries to pardon himself. Because in so doing, it will jusy lay bare how craven he really is and then maybe we can get some real reform. Besides, the presidential pardon only affects federal charges. Nothing Cy Vance in New York, or the various state agencies there, is investigating can be touched.

"Pardons are only for guilty people; accepting one is an admission of guilt."

By accepting Trump's pardon, Flynn acknowledged that he's a convicted felon. Period. Disgraced and shamed forever.

Yes, Clinton pardoned hundreds of convicted and non-convicted felons. I'm not aware that any of them had anything to do with getting him elected. Some that I reviewed seemed legit, a lot of them do not.

But in bringing that sorry past up, does that make it any easier for us to accept this shameful presidential act? IMO it's saying Clinton did it, so let's not throw stones at Trump, let him get away with it, too. It's a terrible privilege given to presidents, IMO, because all sorts of mischief is done to help the president get elected while holding out hope one will receive a pardon should felonious acts be adjudicated. It encourages unlawful behavior, especially when trying to get a politician elected to the highest office.

However, we mustn't lose sight of the fact that accepting a presidential pardon is an admission of guilt.

Every time Trump pardons one of his own partners in crime, he's contributing to the obstruction-of-justice case against himself. An act can be legal and Constitutional and still constitute obstruction of justice if it has that de facto effect.

In the meantime we can relish yet another example of this Three Stooges administration's total incompetence. First the Four Seasons press conference, then melting Giuliani, now the toddler desk (those new images are wonderful) -- what's next? Maybe he'll trip on his own tie and fall flat on his face at the next presser. Anything's possible.

Anyone who does not ALREADY know how craven djt is has either been in a coma for the last 5 years or they are merely a blind sheeple gleefully following the biggest political con man in US history towards a deadly cliff.

All that is left is to simply accept djt has, unfortunately, fundamentally changed America and perhaps for generations to come. His change is in every way evil.

Shaw... I do think they all do it, in this case. Flynn admitted already that he lied to federal prosecutors. Ppl on the right call that a process crime when a rich white guys gets popped. But they feel differently when a "thug' or person of color gets caught in a "process" crime.

Somehow, when rich, powerful, connected people get caught, there's always an exception to the "law and order" philosophy of the right. But when a street kid gets caught, we have to throw the book at him so others will learn and "be deterred."

Whatever President Trump does with Flynn ain't gonna change a thing. He's already guilty as sin. But in this case, as was true with the Ollie North crew under Reagan, it doesn't matter. Because these men were patriots.

Just like the SEAL who killed that guy.

Two faced situational ethics challenged ppl best describes many of them. Including any who would approve of Flynn getting a pardon.

Time for healing seems to be the cry from the left to which I agree. Other than revenge what is gained by forcing the issues to continue.
I wish joey and healthy life for the next four years.

I do agree with RN that djt has changed America which all presidents do. Even his predecessor changed America in ways he may not have intended. The president has less to do with changing America than the media who determine what people think.

Rev, law and order should be money and law because if you have the money you can twist the law. Always been that way and probably won't change

For the conservative blowhards who are claiming the election, in which Trump lost by, in his words, a blowout, consider the words of a Trump nominated judge in Pennsylvania...

“Free, fair elections are the lifeblood of our democracy. Charges of unfairness are serious. But calling an election unfair does not make it so. Charges require specific allegations and then proof. We have neither here,”

Additionally, the judge noted that Giuliani had “stressed” in court that their Pennsylvania challenge wasn’t actually a “fraud case.” Without any allegation of fraud, and with a subset of ballots at issue that wouldn’t be enough to flip the state for Trump, Bibas wrote that the campaign didn’t “deserve” an order blocking the Pennsylvania results from becoming official because its “claims have no merit.”

Can any conservative give me one reason, one reason at all, why we are still entertaining a legal crowd not alleging fraud and bringing cases, their own nominated judges find have no merit?

Unless and until that happens, the Trumpista crowd needs to be told simply... Put up or Shut up. You lost.

I saw sheriff Joe interviewed on MSNBC. Somehow he had no idea that accepting a pardon means admitting guilt. He insisted he was innocent.
