So. What do the Trump cultists have to say about that?
Are they still arguing that the election was stolen?
Their cult leader admitted on June 16, 2021, on the Sean Hannity show that "WE DIDN'T WIN."

Though he acknowledged in the aftermath of the Jan. 6 election that he would be leaving office, Trump has typically stopped short of conceding that he lost the election legitimately. Recently, he has returned to loudly proclaiming the election was stolen through widespread fraud – despite repeated rejections of those claims by the courts – and pouring his hopes into bizarre election audits in key states.
Trump also reportedly believes the audits will lead to his reinstatement as president, as well as the reinstatements of several GOP senators ousted in 2020, such as David Perdue of Ohio and Martha McSally of Arizona. He hasn’t expressed such a belief publicly, but he hinted at it in a GOP fundraising video earlier this month by stating Republicans will take back the White House and Congress “sooner than you think.”
NOTE: Saying "We didn't win," is not the same as saying "The election was stolen." Trump didn't say that to Hannity. He said "We didn't win." Period.
That's the closest he's come to a concession speech since November 7, when President Biden was officially declared the winner.
Will Trump cultists accept their cult leader's admission? I don't think so. They've bought into the Big Lie and because they live in a world where grievances define them, they will continue to believe Trump won and that the election was "stolen."
After all, Trump believes he'll be "reinstated," even though no such mechanism exists in the US Constitution for "reinstatement of a president who lost an election."
The only way he'll be reinstated is by a coup d'etat -- a violent one at that, like what Trump and his armed thugs tried on January 6.
IOW, Trump continues to threaten to overthrow the U.S. government in order to take back the presidency he lost.

Probably not. Especially if Trump walks his statement back with some "clatification". Which he is likely to do.
They'll stay on board the lu-lu train for sure if he does.
Shaw... Yes indeed, President Trump lost his reelection bid. Period. Full Stop.
The problems in America are from the people who believe and spread the following.
"Trump won the election. I will never be dissuaded from that position.
This was an organized massive heist of our government. Trump lost, but not the election.
We did not elect Xi Biden. The election was stolen. We were robbed. A reckoning must be had. People must hang.
Let’s compare Nalvany to the murder of Ashli Babbit and the peaceful visitors to the Capitol building now being serverely mistreated in American jails. Good Job Putin.
And lest we underestimate the depth of where we are at, let's remember this... these quotes are not from the "Radical Redneck" "Rusty" "Edgetho" "Titan Uranus" types, unable, or unwilling to cogently argue a point in the English language.
These thoughts, all exact quotes [spelling errors included], are from everyday Trump supporters who shop in our stores, attend our churches and live next door.
Progressives, liberals, Democrats, the Rockefeller Republican types and the never Trumpers sadly are not paying attention and working hard enough to somehow get ahold of these folks.
Sadly, perhaps we will never be able to do so. No matter how many times and how much evidence we can present to prove their narratives wrong.
Dave,
Good Grief!
I know where you got some of those quotes from. And I don't hold much hope that those folks will ever embrace the truth. They're too much invested in the Trump cult, their grievances, and the underlying fear of "the other."
If they were only a few rag tag folks who believed this, we could shake our heads, feel pity, and get on with the business at hand. But there are millions of folks who embrace Trump's Big Lie, despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary. This is a very, very dangerous time for our country. Millions and millions of people who should know better stubbornly refuse to face facts and continue to support Trump, a known liar and con man.
As others have said on other blogs and news sites, I never understood how the people in Germany could have fallen for Hitler, or in Italy, Mussolini, or in other strongmen dictators, but now I've experienced it in my own country.
"The fault, Dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves..."
"Usage of The Fault, Dear Brutus
Its usage mostly depends on the circumstances. While on one hand, it is used to encourage people when they suffer from frustration in meeting failures; on the other hand, it is used when a person moves from one workplace to another, expecting better financial rewards. Sports coaches at fields, bosses at offices, and friends at home use this phrase to encourage them to have faith in their abilities. However, it is best used by those who fail to overthrow dictators or political opponents."
IMO, those folks who continue to support Trump and believe in his Big Lie are engaged in the slow death of American democracy.
Anonymous, See my answer to Dave above.
Here's why those people will never desert Trump and his lies:
From the Mother Ship:
KID…EXACTLy! Navalny is apparently QUITE ill from that attack last Fall…and NOT GETTING HELP. If he’s THAT SICK, and we’re intent on punishing Putin if he dies, WHY NOT GET HIM NOW WHEN NAVALNY COULD ACTUALLY LIVE IF HELPED?????? GREAT THINKING. The fact that nobody’s saying who killed Ashli is one of the BIGGEST DISGRACES EVER EVER EVER. How hard is THAT to prove? NOT AT ALL.
(Maybe we can answer that the way these Trumpers would if a Democrat had busted into the Capitol Building while electoral votes were being certified and they tried to hang the vice president. Those Trumpers would have said, if that Democrat wasn't breaking the law, he/she wouldn't have been killed. He/she shouldn't have been there in the first place and she /he wouldn't be dead. That's what they say about police who kill black people in a traffic stop, why were they doing something wrong? They wouldn't be killed if they weren't!)
JG…right!! The more we learn about 1/6, the more I BELIEVE this was a total set up…………to make the Right look worse…and Trump, too.
Every single thug who's been arrested by the FBI voluntarily said they were acting on the request of "their president." Some are pissed at Trump for not pardoning them. And if the people who aattacked the US Capitol were a "set up" as that incredibly dumb person suggests, then why wouldn't the Republicans in the Senate want an investigation into that? And expose the pretenders and the people who set it up?
Well that's logical, and those folks and especially that woman don't know the meaning of "logical" or "truth."
Shaw... and let's add this polling data to the list of "what the heck is going on" reality.
Vladimir Putin, the Communist president of Russia, who has invaded peaceful countries so as to increase territory and influence, shot down passenger airlines, supported hacking of US industries and been shown to have meddled in US elections, has a higher favorability rating among 20% of Trump supporters than Joe Biden.
Just step back and consider that for a moment.
No Democrat in America in 1974, as the Watergate Scandal raged, would have said USSR President Leonid Brezhnev was better than Nixon. None. Not one. Even though Dems vehemently disagreed with Nixon, saw him as corrupt and wanted him gone.
And yet here we are in 2021.
A significant part of the Republican Party has a better opinion of a Communist president than their own US President. And I might add, a higher opinion of the Presidents of Canada, France and Germany as well.
What is going on?
Dave, What is going on? I'd say the radicalization of the GOP. The true conservatives of the GOP have left the party and are wondering in the desert.
The people who identify with today's GQP are what's left, and they've given their allegiance to a very unpopular, very deeply flawed man who was impeached twice, lost his re-election, lost the popular vote twice, lost the House, and the Senate, is under criminal investigation, and incited a mob to overthrow his own government and hang his own vice president!
If we could ask a Republican who's been in a coma for, say, the past 6 years to look at the man the current GQP idolizes and supports and hopes will be back in the WH, he/she would not believe what we tell him/her. And yet, that's who the current GQP is loyal to -- including Senators and Representatives!
Fortunately, his supporters are a distinct minority. For now. But if another scoundrel like Trump (only not as lazy and smarter) ever comes on the scene, we now know how easily manipulated certain parts of our population will be to embrace a corrupt proto-fascist.
And I don't think we've seen the end of Trump's treachery.
Ray
If those folks on the Mother Ship actually believe what happened on 1/6 was a "set up," then how do they explain THIS?
Of course Trump incited the attack and the attackers were Trumpers who stupidly believed that Trump could violently have them overthrow the government and install him illegally as POTUS, even though he lost the election.
Those folks are self-deluded and will never face reality. They've bought into the lie and it would be too painful for them to face the fact that they've been had!
"Trump to Hannity “WE DIDN'T WIN.”"
The tRUMPers will say he just said that to throw the liberals off their game and make the August comeback easier.
