General John Kelly: "He said that, in his opinion, Mr. Trump met the definition of a fascist, would govern like a dictator if allowed, and had no understanding of the Constitution or the concept of rule of law."
This old hippy is appalled by my enthusiastic support of the FBI in the here/now.
I remember you see, and the Feebees have not always been as honorable as they've been portrayed. Also, and too, there is a reason most in my circles called them the Famous But Incompetent.
That said, who the FBI are today, the work they are doing is very much in line with my belief that it's all hands on deck for all citizens of this great nation. We have a Democracy to defend and I don't care if the person fighting next to me is a dwarf or an elf - to use geek imagery.
Very good Zen Shaw. And may your holiday weekend be all that you need it to be. :)
As the FBI, and Grey, I share your overall view, but try to leave space for some good work, continues to delve into this mess, it's interesting to see the GOP view towards law enforcement wane.
As it relates to the documents found at the Trump residence in Florida, we really are left with only a couple of scenarios...
1. Trump took the documents for nefarious purposes. 2. Trump took the documents for his own unknown private reasons. 3. Trump had no idea the documents were there, as others just stuffed papers in boxes in his hurried escape from the White House.
Since he has admitted in court filings that the documents indeed were at Mar a Lago, this case seems to be winding to some sort of conclusion, and it's not looking for DJT.
Because at some point he's going to have to explain why he had those documents. Was it willful disregard for our laws? Or was it plain ignorance? Or something far worse?
Whichever one of the 3, either A,B,or C that it is determined to be should determine the length of time tacked on to what he should receive for his attempted coup on J6 2021.
