TRUMP: "It's a country that's failing".

Reality:

Trump keeps his cultists fearful and enraged by telling them the opposite of what reality is.

And they eagerly believe his lies.

It is working. Exactly as it did for Adolph, and it will work for the trump crime family.

There will be a trump in the WH again. All the big pluses will soon turn to negatives.

Given the state of the nation and its massive divide the danger to cohesiveness within our culture and government is immense and the chaotic political turmoil ahead will make J6 look like a picnic.

Using these statistics can be confusing. If you were in Chicago last weekend you wouldn't agree that homicides are down. That is great news just don't ask Chicago, California and Texas.

If you are wealthy and don't have many people to feed, or buy a house or a car then the economy is good. If you have to work two jobs to feed a family then the economy is not so good.

Statistics are wheat you want them to be. Joey b created 14 million jobs which is a true statement. Looking at how many of those jobs were lost because of covid, it takes on a different meaning.

If you don't live in a border state then illegals crossing the border is not a big deal. If you do live in a border state it takes on a new meaning.

I know skud dislikes hearing ANY good news during a Democratic Administration. But facts are stubborn things. And skud's prejudiced opinions are NOT facts:

Violent crime is dropping fast in the U.S. — even if Americans don't believe it In 2020, the United States experienced one of its most dangerous years in decades. But in 2023, crime in America looked very different. That change may have gone unnoticed.Feb 12, 2024

Are crime rates decreasing in the US?
The new fourth-quarter numbers showed a 13% decline in murder in 2023 from 2022, a 6% decline in reported violent crime and a 4% decline in reported property crime.Mar 19, 2024

The U.S. crime rate is still dropping, FBI data shows

Most people think the U.S. crime rate is rising. They're wrong.
Almost 80 percent of Americans, and 92 percent of Republicans, think crime has gone up. It actually fell in 2023.

In the chaotic early months of the Covid pandemic, when the U.S. was also going through the aftermath of George Floyd’s murder, violent crime rose across the country. Murders in 2020 increased at the fastest rate since national statistics began in 1960. Other crimes, like shootings and car thefts, also increased.

The surge in violence left some experts worried that the U.S. might be entering another era of high crime, similar to that of the 1960s through the ’90s.

But the data over the past year has offered a much more optimistic picture. The number of murders in U.S. cities fell by more than 12 percent — which would be the biggest national decline on record. The spike that started in 2020 now looks more like a blip, and the murder rate is lower than it was during the 1970s, ’80s and ’90s. The recent data also suggests that the violent-crime rate in 2023 was near its lowest level in more than 50 years, as Jeff Asher, a crime analyst, wrote for his newsletter.

All of this good news will make skud uncomfortable because it does not square with his negative opinion of the direction the country is going in.

But facts are facts, and no amount of negativity from ANYONE can alter reality.

Trump says the country is failing.

The stock market is up, unemployment is the lowest it's been since the 1960s, and the country's crime rate is dropping.

We still have problems. But instead of being happy with the good things, skud and Trumpers whine, complain, and bitch, as though there was ANY administration that was perfect. There never was.

Some people are still nostalgic for the Reagan years. But they ignore the FACT that the Reagan administration was one of THE MOST CORRUPT in post war America. FACT.

And the Obama admistration was scandal-free -- 8 years scandal free. FACT!

Facts are stubborn things.

Ms Shaw, Why would I not want crime to be down. I'm sure you are aware that crime is local and if crime in your city is down then crime is down. Boston for instance was down in shootings which is a good thing but overall crime was up 2%. Guess if there is no one killed it just doesn't matter. Do you think the overall crime rate is down because there are fewer police to report the crime, of course not.

Fact: The total crime rate in Boston is 2591 incidents per 100,000 residents, which is 6% more dangerous than the rest of the country and 40% higher than Chicago. But the violent crime rate is 624 per 100,000 residents, which is 61% higher than the rest of the US, yet 45% lower than Chicago.
Looks like you can walk the streets feeling safe.

How could anyone accuse the swell guy of having a scandal because he was above reproach if you disregard the red line and the bribe payments to Iran. Very clean especially when the press turns the other way, good job.

They've been bamboozled. And here's Carl Sagan's statement on being bamboozled:

“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.”

Trump's cultists are deep in bamboozled territory. It's the only rational explanation for what's happened to 30+% of the voting public. The ONLY explanation of why Trump's cultists continue to support the Liar, the Cheat, the Fraud, and Sexual Assaulter/Rapist.

PS. Good to see you! Thanks for stopping by.

skud, you jumped the shark with your dig at Obama. Guess your previous material had been debunked so you had to bring out an oldy but moldy claim. Classic skud.

The former loser indicted not ever my president wants the USA to appear to fail so he can ride in like the hero he and his fans believe him to be. Of course he's not the hero, he's only in the game to enrich himself at the expense of his fans, and if they ever wake up....

Well, I know how I felt coming out the cult I was in back in the day. My whole world started to crack with pieces crashing to the ground as I desperately tried to keep the illusion alive. Of course I failed and reality whooshed in on me hard.

I'm just thinking of those who have nothing and yet continue to give to a master grifter. When there isn't anything left to sell and no more credit to be extended I wonder how they handle the next piece of reality crashing into their soup. Historically the waking up of their acolytes has not been a positive experience for those who did the bamboozling.

If I had monies I'd invest in popcorn.

If i had money i'd find a remote location as far removed from the distractions from, and intrusions into, my serenity and sanity as would be physically possible.

If Tibet was still an independent nation, free from China's oppressive occupation, i'd probably find a remote cave there and enjoy increased awareness and liberation away from the BS of consumerism and materialism.

Cause one has a damn hard time finding anything even remotely resembling that today in America.

There is no escape from the deluded right wing zealots Les. My nickname at the golf course used be "The Cat." It's been JoeBama for years now. I've actually embraced it. I should change my blogger moniker.

Change is good JoeBama "Truth 101" Kelly. Embracing it? Even better.

That's why i changed the look of my site and essentially, for the most part, stopped doing political crap on it. It's been liberating. Next up... who knows. Whatever it might be it won't be politics or government in content.

"The Cat", interesting.
