The Far Right Is Crawling With Eclipse Conspiracy Theories
Unfortunately, this is behind a paywall. But who's surprised? The Far Right Trumpers are claiming the recent earthquake in New Jersey and New York was some sort of signal from "God" for something, something, and that the coming solar eclipse is a warning from God as well.
It's not surprising to learn that far righters are making these absurd claims. They believe in a lying liar's claim that he won the 2020 election and that he is a devout Christian.
Trumpers are easily duped by anyone with a fake story. They're not critical thinkers.
Alex Jones weighed-in on the upcoming eclipse with, "All this is a dress rehearsal. No government in modern times have ever acted like this for a solar eclipse."
While others on social media pointed out, mostly in jest, that today's earthquake, centered only 6.5 miles from Donald Trump’s Bedminster National Golf Club, had something to do with him.
We also don't believe any of Trump's lies.

I was telling my wife the morning of the NJ earthquake that it would not be long before the Christianist sheeple would be barreling down this supernatural path to pontificating on the earthquake being a "warning from god."
I guess it's nice they have a special "god connection" so they can hear and believe whatever their "god message" from "above" is saying.
Reality is not always what ones mind believes it to be. It is quite often what ones belief system and ego guides one to believe.
Which, as we see with this recent natural phenomenon, the true believers believe god is communication through an earthquake. Which is nothing more than the shift of the earth's crust in simple terms.
But, ya just gotta love the fictional storyline religionists tell themselves to explain natural phenomenal occurances.

Social justice in the minds of decent, compassionate, and loving people, regardles of race or spiritual practice, simply means treating others as you would have them treat you and respecting their indiidual rights and liberties, including repreductive rights and sexual preferences.
But we all know full well that white supremacists, religious nationalists, as well as all folks with conditioned reified beliefs will usually follow their "beliefs", whether true or not.
What is clear is this, the MAGATS, religious nationalists, white supremacists, and fascists are only interested in, and will only accept, their beliefs. While at the same time, make every attempt to force their beliefs on all others.

I don't speak for Dave Dubya, but for me I understand that the GOAL of social justice is righteous. We keep working toward social justice. Sometime we achieve the goals and sometimes we don't.
I believe fighting to stop the poll tax that targeted Black voters in the south was a good thing, and the Voting Rights Act achieved it. Up until the SCOTUS decided this country didn't need what the Voting Rights ACt protected, since the present SCOTUS declared we're a just society. We're not.
There are five main principles of social justice that are paramount to understanding the concept better. Namely, these are access to resources, equity, participation, diversity, and human rights.
Those are worthwhile human aspirations. If that enrages you, -FJ, please explain what your opposition to these stated ideals is.

My argument against social justice isn't the general concept (of justice for all). It's the implementation. It's like a "class action suit" where the paralyzed victim and sprained ankle guy get the same share of the Court settlement. The goal is "efficiency" for the Court system, not "just compensation" for the victims.
I don't think I owe Oprah Winfrey ANY reparations. And "rich privilege" trumps "white privilege" eight days a week.
If i were my " old self" of yesteryear i might say my argument is not with the ideals of social justice, but rather with the idea that government has a right to legislate those ideals. Thus forcing them on everyone regardless of circumstances.
That was then. Fortunately i was able to grow out of that fiercely ego driven self centered view when the realization occured that we are all indeed interconnected interbeings and we all want to live happy lives free from suffering and turmoil. As well as the realization of the emptiness of all phenomenon.
The human race unfortunately has pretty much demonstrated its inability to naturally put aside ego desires and act instead to create diversity, equanimity, equality, equity, insure human rights, and guarantee full participation in society without the force of a just government.

I just read that young people are favoring the evil one and older folks are moving toward genocide joe. Maybe that is one reason he is giving more money away to rich kids to pay for their tuition. Skud, why do you keep ignoring what the judge said? Why? The judge in the civil case rightly claimed that what Trump did was, in fact, a rape.
