The facts are that George Bush had a majority in Congress for 6 years of his 8-year term.
During that time, he vetoed not one spending bill. Not one.
Did George Bush and the majority of conservatives in Congress decide in 2001 "Hey, now that we control the government, let's act like Democrats!"
That is the dumbest excuse for the mess we're in I have ever heard, and entirely unworthy of serious debate.
If the conservatives had been a bit more critical and had not bought into Bush worship, maybe they could have avoided the disaster that has been the Bush administration.
