The redoubtable cephalapod, (O)CT(O)PUS has generously offered the above for your elucidation.
I will send you over to the Swash Zone where you can educate yourself on what tea baggers don't want you to know.
Here's a teaser:
Our current national debt, also known as sovereign debt, is currently $11 trillion dollars. Deficit spending by three, successive Republican administrations accounts for $9 trillion of the total … a whopping 82%. Yet, Republicans want to pin their transgressions on the Democrats, and specifically the Obama administration, in an attempt to derail important legislation designed to fix this mess.
H/T to the octolly armed and demurely brilliant (O)CT(O)PUS.
The guy says Mr. Obama is a fascist, but doesn't give any evidence for his idiotic claim. "He just is." says the poor benighted dope.

This ought to push the Repug loons who post here over the edge!

Yawn.

Despite the massive efforts of Fox News the 'Tea Party' is a bust. Seems to have attracted only the hopelessly pissed-off and the totally clueless. Go figure.

That toddler is going to cringe one day when he sees what a dope Pop is.

Oh well. No requirements necessary for perpetuating the species.

It seems to have attracted the EXACT same people who were at Palin rallies during the campaign.

The brilliant (O)CT(O)PUS, my ASS!
The brilliant (O)CT(O)PUSis such a puke. How does someones head get so far up their ass? What a mental midget. He really is stuck on himself. What a gas bag. He calls them tea-bag parties, thus fueling the liberals' filthy joke tactics to demean the movement.
I say, let's have more tea parties! Let this be a movement that makes a difference, like the shot heard round the world.
The people at the tea parties the other day would be more than happy to just go about their business of taking care of themselves and their families. The thin skinned paranoid, insecure liberals did what they always do, resort to name calling, especially playing the race card. I bet that you thought that all those mothers and fathers and grandfathers and grandmothers out there the other day were terrorists waiting to happen.I'm sure if you searched their cars there would have been a fertilizer bomb in them. lol

Who needs facts? Its all a matter of what one believes.

If you believe it then it is true.

Just as John from Cinncinatti....

Convictions over rational thought!

Shaw Kenawe said...

As the photo taken at a rally in Philadelphia proves, it is the tea baggers who gave themselves that name. We just encourage its use, because it is so apt.

As for John in Cincinnati's rant, it's just more of the same: accusations without evidence wrapped in turgid prose.

Yawn.

Apparently, john does not see the irony in posting this statement:

"The thin skinned paranoid, insecure liberals did what they always do, resort to name calling..."

After earlier posting these gems:

"...is such a puke."
"What a gas bag."
"What a mental midget."

Go back to the playground - the grownups are talking here.

You call everyone's comment that you don't agree with a rant!
I commented on your blog last and I was gracious, and just because you didn't care for my subject (abortion) you called me names and you deleted my comment,
So I'll call yours the same, a RANT!. ... You cannot make such atrocious comments about the 'Tea Party' issues and just expect everyone to agree with you and pat you on your obnoxious self serving back. Because I will not. You will not just say you think someone is stupid and a bad writer because you don't agree with their point of view.
agree ... Why not be gracious and say "I appreciate your comments but"!!!

Shaw Kenawe said...

Wrong, Anonymou. If you came here often, you'd see a commenter named "dmarks," who most often, but not always has an opposing point of view. I don't describe his comments as ranting because he doesn't rant--he gives his opinion without rancor. Same with other commenters, Patrick and Gordon, and The Griper.

They are never rude. Snarky? Yes. Fine with me.

I label someone's comment a rant when they write as John from Cincinnati did, calling (O)CT(O)PUS a "puke," a "mental midget," and then going on with more ranting.

There were no points of discussion, only name calling and anger.

And I didn't disparage you just because you brought up the subject of abortion.

I did so because you trolled my comment section. I have no posts on abortion because there's no sense in trying to discuss it. You came here and rudely insisted we talk about it. I asked you to stick to the point; you didn't.

Now you come here, again, in high dudgeon no less, because I won't put up with your trollish behavior.

Do me two favors, please. Look up "troll" on google so you'll understand how annoying your are, and two, talk about abortion on YOUR OWN BLOG, NOT HERE. I'm not interested.

To Anonymous and Pro-Life,

I have asked you more than once not to come here and hijack my comment section with your squalid posts on Mr. Obama and abortions.

I will continue to delete them.

Or better yet, I can ban you from here for good.

If you have something constructive to say regarding the post, please go ahead and say it.

Otherwise don't bother coming back with your anti-abortion rot.

Thank you.

The teabaggers don't seem to mind big tax cuts for the rich, even those really push up the deficits.

Personally, I think Obama's economic policies have been too much like those of the GOP. That's part of why I think the teabaggers are so ridiculous.

Basically the leftist idiots can stage violent protests and to CNN it's OK. A peaceful protest by average Americans is scary to CNN and to Homeland security.
Only in America!

To the simplistic minded Anonymous:

Does your little bromide apply to capital punishment as well? Because Dubya put an awful lot of people to death in his time as governor of Texas. That's taking away, isn't it? Or did your god tell GWB he'd make an exception in Texas and let Dubya take as much away as he liked?

belsogno said...

As far as capital punishment is concerned. I don't agree that it's simplistic minded at all.
If they were convicted of murder than they all deserve death, and I don't question the rectitude of any execution. The system isn't perfect, and is never going to be perfect, but it's good enough to justify death as the condign punishment for murder.
They made their choice to take the life of other individuals.

The logic behind the death penalty is to teach a lesson, to punish, hence the term capital punishment. It’s the big kahuna of punishment. A murder is defined as an unlawful killing of another human. When a murder is committed, the courts in turn take the life of the criminal. So you kill someone, we kill you.

Get it?

Does this sound a bit barbaric?

Dave Miller said...

Actually Belsogno, if you believe life is sacred, as many pro lifers do, then yes, taking a life in any way shape or form, is indeed barbaric.

Get it?

Please accept my thanks for supporting the effort to counteract the Tea Bagger disinformation campaign. There is a Monday update here.

Belsogno said...

I never said I was a Pro-Lifer,did I?

Shaw Kenawe said...

Belsogno,

We're the only western democracy that still uses the death penalty. Other countries that do are totalitarian: Iran, Afghanistan, China, etc. We seem to have a lot in common with those barbaric unhuman and unAmerican countries.

PS. The Catholic Church--the POPe is as much against capital punishment as he is against all forms of abortion.

Notre Dame Universith has the extreme Catholics all upset because Obama is going to speak at their upcoming commencement and receive an honorary degree.

George W. Bush started an unjust war and killed more people on death row in Texas than any other governor in the US. Both of those actions are condemned by the POPe and the Catholic Church.

HOWEVER, the rightwing hypocrites at Nortre Dame had not problem with Bush giving his commencement and receiving an honarary degree.

This is the sort of duplicitous, rank hypocrisy we expect from an organization that protected child rapists.

IMHO, the Catholic Organization that is the Church has NO moral authority and deserve no respect.

Your sense of humor leaves a lot to be desired.. But I will leave you with a thought to ponder over anyway. (for whatever it's worth) And I guess it won't mean a thing here. Because you folks are totally clueless.. But ponder this.If you go by the crap set forth by the leftist morons.. ..If you look at the way Obama beams at those America haters you would see that ..Rush is right..Obama believes he will make our "evil country" into a socialist utopia that these demagogues will admire. Obama, Ortega, Rev Wright, Chavez, Castro and Louis Farrakhan are all cut from the same hate America cloth..

I Ain't Got No Blog said...

I ask you to enlighten me. Give me one valid reason why you or anyone else should NOT use his admiration for Wright as an indication of his personal sentiments.

Shaw Kenawe said...

IAGNB,

Mr. Obama severed his ties with Rev. Wright, who committed no illegal act.

You conveniently forget that Mr. Bush was a great friend of the criminal Ken Lay of Enron infamy. Bush used to refer to the late Mr. Lay as "Kenny Boy," or some other chummy nickname. When it became apparent that Lay was going to be a political liability, Mr. Bush severed all ties with Lay and pretended their friendship never existed.

This is called politics. And you seem to be shocked SHOCKED! I tell you, when politicians practice it.

You need to focus your outrage over real assaults on our country.

Like breaking the law, torturing, and then lying to the American people about it.

Boy oh boy is your take on monetary policy and history entirely incorrect. But this is what happens when partisanship gets in the way of true research. Democrats and Republicans are only substantially different to the uninformed. After reviewing the historical record, you will see that both parties are totally culpable for this countries bankruptcy.

Start with the creation of the Fed around 1914 or so then go to FDR and then Jimmy Carter and the subsequent Presidents. You wonder about why credit card companies can charge up the ass without worrying about state interest laws?

Look to the Carter administration for pushing Congress to get rid of usury laws to 'stimulate' the economy back in the day. Look to the Supreme Court in the seventies telling us that the laws of the state in which the bank is located are applicable over the laws of the state in which the bank customer resides. This is why all the banks are in South Dakota or Delaware, states with no usury ceiling.

Reagan with intense military spending. Clinton with his so called balancing the budget was just an illusion because we were still broke and on the brink of financial insolvency.

The truth is, all of our politicians have been bought and sold by lobbyists and it matters naught if they are Dem or GOP.

BTW I am Black and a tea party supporter. Recall that this country was started by a tax revolt.

Shaw Kenawe said...

MSR,

I recall that the tax revolt in Boston, where I live, was caused by the people protesting taxation without representation.

None of the tea party protesters, except for those who live in DC, are without representation.

And it both the Dems and the Reps are responsible for the fiscal mess this country is in, then why all the defamatory signs against Mr. Obama?

I think there was more going on in the "tea party" protests than just anger over economics.

A lot of the people protesting were Obama haters, and the tea party was a convenient excuse to spread their venom.

Mahndisa S. Rigmaiden said...

Trust me, there were some Obama haters at those Tea Parties, but they did not make up the majority of goers by any stretch. The Tea Party movement has been around for a long while and is just now hitting certain demographics.

Sure, there are people who use it as a forum to spew hatred against our President AND his policies. But what people don't recognize is that the Tea Party movement began to pick up under the Bush 2 regime in various locales. I guarantee you that if John McCain was President, we'd still see Tea Parties because many of the attendees are disgusted with the state of our political system.

Libertarian oriented folk, kinda like me, have been engaging in such activities for years.

I disagree that we are represented by our politicians. From what I understand, the majority of Americans were dead set against these bailouts no matter their political affiliation BUT our elected reps still voted for them en masse. This is an inconsistency that occurs when the will of the people is usurped by the will of elitists and lobbyists. To that end NO we are not adequately nor reasonably represented.

You have not addressed the history I've brought to your attention. Trust me, it isn't just the Republicans. Since President Obama has been in office, he has signed bills that will keep our country in debt in perpetuity but that was him. Bush did the same with the Iraq and Afghanistani incursions and set the stage for Obama to invade Iran.

Obama is not for peace and has not upheld his campaign promises that he would immediately bring home troops.

If you are critical of GOPers at least be that way with Dems because as I said before, they are not substantively different from one another.
