PRESS SECRETARY GIBBS ON MOB VIOLENCE AND LABELING OBAMA A NAZI:

Gibbs tells the thugs to grow up.

"I know the president feels strongly that we can discuss these issues without personally maligning... that we are doing so in a way that respects the dignity of each individual," he said. "I think anytime you make references to what happened in Germany in the 30's and 40's, I think you are talking about an event that has no equivalent. And I think anytime anyone ventures to compare anything to that, they are on thin ice, and it is best not employed."

"But I think what the most important thing is, is that we can have a discussion in our democracy about where we want to go," he added. "The president strongly believes we can do so without yelling at each other, pushing at each other or degrading each other. We have seen some stuff, I mentioned it a week ago, we have all seen imagery that just shocks and surprises us and I think the best thing to do is just take that temperature down a bit."

If you can't win an argument on ideas and facts, you can always scream your guts out and stamp your feet.

I have 3 children. I know this tactic.

I agree with Gibbs.

The hired thugs need to grow up.

Yawn.

Yet another line drawn in the sand as the once great US of A spins into complete ruin.

Just kidding.

Heck Sunglasses. YOU don't even scare the hell out of anyone. But you flatter yourself. I assure you no one wants to control every aspect of your daily life.

Though I haven't talked to your dog yet.

Cheers!

Conservative typed:

"The "THUG" liberal response is all being orchestrated from the White House by Rahm Emmanuel on behalf of Barack Obama."

Yes, of course. It's always a good response to turn around and say "I know you are, but what am I," when your side is being labeled for what it is.

Conservative also typed:

"If this doesn't scare the hell out of America, nothing will. Exactly as Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama have said, they want to monitor and control every aspect of our daily lives -"

Exactly as Pelose and Obama said?

Really?

Please find that EXACT quote from both of them where they say VERBATIM that they "want to monitor and control every aspect of our daily lives."

I'll be waiting to read it. Oh, and please include the link to where you found that EXACT quote you just said they gave.

It is you who said it is EXACTLY what they said.

I'm guessing that you'll be able to find it by tomorrow. I'll be back to eagerly read it.

Thank you.

Shaw wondered about "Exactly as Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama have said, they want to monitor and control every aspect of our daily lives"

You must have missed the Bildeburger meeting. I hear it was a real hoot. A troupe of the Elders of Zion did a burlesque dance, and Elvis cooked the burgers.

So what Arthur said was "outrageous" to you RIR, but the response from Conservative calling Arthurstone a shithead and threatening to kick his ass was okay with you.

Your hypocrisy cracks me up Sister. And Conservative cracks me up also. I hope Shaw leaves that clown's goofball post up in case I need a good laugh later.

I'll answer that one for you Shaw...

Top White House aides gave Senate Democrats a recess battle plan on Thursday, arming the lawmakers with tips for avoiding disastrous town hall meetings while showing them polling on popular aspects of the reform effort.

Senior White House adviser David Axelrod and deputy chief of staff Jim Messina told senators to focus on the insured and how they would benefit from “consumer protections" in the overhaul, such as ending the practice of denying insurance based on preexisting conditions and ensuring the continuity of coverage between jobs.

They showed video clips of the confrontational town halls that have dominated the media coverage, and told senators to do more prep work than usual for their public meetings by making sure their own supporters turn out, senators and aides said.

And they screened TV ads and reviewed the various campaigns by critics of the Democratic plan.

“If you get hit, we will punch back twice as hard,” Messina said, according to an official who attended the meeting.

he best tip that the White House can give democrat lawmakers is to stack their town hall meetings with people from ACORN, add in some paid union thugs and get hold of those black panthers that were intimidating voters with baseball bats. Isn't that the way community organizers think. It is almost surreal watching the community organizer complain about people in the community organizing.

We're still waiting for proof from Nancy 'the torturer" Pelosi to back up her claim that conservatives are showing up with swastikas.

Conservative,

Is that a nice way to behave?

I don't go to your blog and insult your commenters.

There is no reason for you to come here and attack my commenter who simply gave an amusing answer to your hyperbolic comment

I'm going to leave your offensive comment up for a while so people can see how a conservative acts when he's been bettered by a humorous answer: He uses schoolyard name-calling and bullying.

I'm sorry you felt the need to act like a cad.

To RiR and everyone else who has trouble reading.

Arthurstone DID NOT CALL CONSERVATIVE A NAME.

I challenge you to read his comment. Conservative wears sunglasses. That's not an offensive name.

You and others do this all the time: You make things up and then play the victim.

ALSO, YOU HAVE READING COMPREHENSION PROBLEMS.

Nowhere does Arthurstone's comment insult Conservative.

Please stop coming here if all you can do is meddle and make trouble.

Conservative,

Grow up. You have a chip on your insecure shoulder and you need to stop the name calling.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Frank the Thinking Man,

Your response had nothing to do with my challenge to Conservative.

It doesn't matter now anyway.

Conservative aggressively insulted one of my commenters, then played the victim card.

It's all so predictable.

To the "John" who posted the Drudge link.

I don't read anything by Drudge.

He's been shown to be a liar.

Every time a thread comes up criticizing Obama, there is a wave of defensive responses that amount to nothing more than sarcasm and indignation, generally followed by some articulation of "Bush sucked." In all of these threads that I have read, I don't think I've seen a single comment that defends an Obama policy on the merits or in a thoughtful and factual manner. The Administration's defenders seem smugly content to simply point out to the world that Bush was a disaster, and since Obama is a living, walking repudiation of Bush and all things Republican, whatever he is doing must be OK, and that any conservative criticism of him or his policies is inherently unworthy of consideration. Those who supported Obama in the election have the right to be pleased at his election, and in politics some gloating is part of the territory. But really folks, when you put aside the glee of defeating a party who you so obviously despise, have you taken a look at what this Administration is doing? Government takeovers of the auto industry? (Yes, that's exactly what it is -- the government will own over 70% of GM two months from now.) Taxation of your health care benefits? Repeated attempts to "engage" nations that respond by comparing us to the devil? The entire governmental apparatus in this country is being changed, and no one seems to give a shit, so long as we can take comfort in having defeated the evil Republicans. You've got a very willful group running the show in Washington, people, and they are moving very quickly to change the most basic assumptions of the government-governed charter that has shaped our society for over 230 years. Maybe you've considered those changes and think they are for the better, in which case we'll disagree. But maybe, just maybe, you've become so caught up in the euphoria of "change" and "hope" that you don't feel the need to pay attention to the "details," which are likely to include the complete elimination of private health insurance, aggressively redistributionist economic policies from top to bottom, and a government that will be involved in your life a LOT more than ever before. I'm not sitting here telling you that Bush was better than Obama, though I happen to believe that. Bush is gone, to run no more. Focus on the guy you put in office and what he is doing. You might be surprised at some of it, and my guess is that you won't like a lot of it. And if it all comes to pass because people are satisfied extolling "change," you'll have no one to blame but yourselves.
You can't make this stuff up. while he's taking a wrecking ball to the nation with nobody doing anything about it, you have pelosi who lied to the cia going off to china to talk about global warming. lol

And about what you just said about authur and conservative shaw, heck he said this

"Heck Sunglasses. YOU don't even scare the hell out of anyone. But you flatter yourself. I assure you no one wants to control every aspect of your daily life.

Though I haven't talked to your dog yet."

if you don't think that's name calling then I don't know what is?

James' Muse said...

Sarcastic: How is that name calling? He is saying that no one wants to control every aspect, except maybe his dog. I have a dog, and she basically wants my attention 24/7. She would like nothing better than to have me cater to her every mood. Treat! Go outside! Treat! Dinner! Nap! More treat!

Again, how is it an insult?

Oh, BULL.

I've been coming here for a few weeks now and I always see the same patten. When a Lib is "Sarcastic" is fine. When a Conservative is "Sarcastic" it's name calling.

Conservative was THE VICTIM HERE.
Why wasn't Aurthur's comment deleted?

I never see a Libs comment deleted, NEVER!

I see Truth101 making all kinds of wise ass remarks to Pittbull and others and they are NEVER deleted.

I DON'T KNOW WHY ANY CONSERVATIVE COMES HERE AT ALL.
IN FACT I AM ASKING ALL REPUBLICANS AND CONSERVITIVES NOT TO.

WHY COME HERE AND HAVE YOUR OPINIONS MADE THE LAUGHING STOCK OF THIS BLOG?
I'M OUT OF HERE AND I HOPE ALL OF MY FELLOW CONSERVATIVES ARE AS WELL.

MSO ventured:

'Arthurstone typed: Though I haven't talked to your dog yet."

if you don't think that's name calling then I don't know what is?

Well anyone could see it isn't name calling. But I will go slowly for your sake and try and help you to understand. Though, to be fair, a joke explained is a joke destroyed. It is not uncommon among folks who live with dogs or cats to often mention how completely the animal sets the schedule and calls the shots. Many folks laughingly admit to being 'ruled' by their pets.

Really.

I'm not making it up. In this particular instance of utter absurdity on Conservative's part I'd thought I'd point out who may ACTUALLY be running his life.

It definitely ain't Obama but it could well be Fido. Or Boots the cat.

Now you have raised yet major another concern I have. That is, if we are to rely on REAL AMERICANS such as yourself and Conservative and Right is Right to protect us from Islamofascism, the global warming hoax, Marxists, terrorists, granny killers baby killers and recyclers and you all get all weepy when teased then what, oh what is to become of us?

Buck up!

Shaw: with regards to Sarcastic Guy, don't worry. This happens to me also. I get a week or two of big hit counts from all the righties thinking they can match wit and wisdom with me. After a week to ten days of these poor deluded fools being mentally castrated, they surrender and go back to the close minded safety of Righty Nation. A new crop shows up a few weeks later and Google sends me thank yous for getting a bunch of traffic.

At least we're keeping these blind right wing fools off the streets and away from Town Hall meetings.

"if you don't think that's name calling then I don't know what is?"--My Sarcastic Opinion

Seriously? Well apparently YOU ABSOLUTELY DON'T KNOW NAME-CALLING.

Sunglasses is not "name-calling." Conservative is pictured wearing sunglasses. Is he so sensitive that when Arthurstone used that name Conservative's delicate feelings were hurt?

There is nothing else in that comment that even approaches name calling.

You and Conservative and RiR are suffering from what is known in blogdom as "Republican Victimhood."

There was no name-calling in Arthurstone's comment--he's just funnier, wittier, and more intelligent than what's usually posted here--me included. And apparently that was devasting to Conservative.

Your long screed on your belief that this country is being destroyed by an administration that's been in office for 6 months and that inherited a financial meltdown that started with Mr. Bush and was precipitated by years of Republican incompetence would be laughable if it were not so sadly misguided and paranoid.

Both Republicans and Democrats have a lot to answer for the bad policies and decisions made over the last 40 years and that have brought us to this mess we're in.

But the Republicans have held the presidency for 28 out of the last 40 years. And Bush had complete power for 6 of his 8 years in office.

President Obama has saved jobs by his takeover of GM [which he himself said he will gladly return to private ownership as soon as it returns to profitability], which, in part, because of his "Cash for Clunkers" program may be sooner rather than later.

Also in the GM takeover we preserved a national security asset. In times of national emergency [war] we would need the auto industry to produce military equipment to defend ourselves.

You criticize the administration for keeping its friends close and its enemies closer? Middle finger diplomacy got us nowhere with North Korea--during the Bush administations belligerent, non-speaking bullying got us NK's nuclear weapons.

MSO: "The entire governmental apparatus in this country is being changed, and no one seems to give a shit, so long as we can take comfort in having defeated the evil Republicans."

THE ENTIRE GOVERNMENTAL APPARATUS?

Really? And you wonder why we laugh at your paranoia and ridiculous claims. You give absolutely no evidence, just a wild assertion based on what? Do we no longer elect our representatives, presidents? Does not the Senate advise and consent anymore? Does Congress no longer enact legislation? Vote on bills?

James' Muse said...

Um, you still didn't answer my question. HOW is that calling someone a name?

Also: I remember a similar "exodus" headed by "It's My Choice" a few months back...right-wingers like you start these exoduses, then burn out. In fact, she was very similar to you, Sarcastic Opinion. A short-lived blog comes onto a long term one, and then says "i'm out of here, and everyone else with me!"...then fades into obscurity. Have fun with that, dude.

Conservative apparently was so abashed by his unseemly behavior, that he came back here and deleted his name-calling, threatening comment.

Fortunately, I still have it, and this is what Conservative wrote about Arthurstone and then deleted:

Conservative has left a new comment on your post "PRESS SECRETARY GIBBS ON MOB VIOLENCE AND LABELING...":

You little fag.

Email me and maybe we can meet so that I can kick the living shit out of you in 30 seconds or less.

In addition to being mean-spirited and overly aggressive, Conservative apparently is himself so ashamed of what he wrote that he deleted it, demonstrating shocking poltroonery.

We expect this from conservatives.

Shaw: In keeping with some of your comments in this post. I heard Sean Hannity yesterday say that Obama was "destroying the American people". Those were his words.

Yes, I am not one of those blind partisans who ignores this kind of thing from "my side".
