THIS IS WHY HERMAN CAIN WILL NOT BE PRESIDENT

We'll hear from the rightwingers that the "lamestream media" destroyed Herman Cain, but this video, in addition to many others that demonstrate Cain's incompetence and appalling lack of understanding on foreign and domestic policy issues, clearly shows Cain's profound indequacies.  And that observation doesn't include his awful handling of his sexual harassment accusations.

Cain is unfit to be president.

In this video, you will see him evade, squirm, and then finally  blather on about nothing, constructing a non-answer to the question put to him.

Over the past few weeks we saw and heard Rick Perry stumble again and forget the name of a federal agency he wants to eliminate; we saw and heard Michele Bachmann come out in favor of socialist/communist China, while bashing an American president; and we heard Cain, Bachmann and Perry say that they approve of a criminal act, torture, and would use "enhanced interrogation" [that's waterboarding] to retrieve information from America's enemies. [Mitt Romney was too much of a coward to give us his opinion on this subject.]

Here's how someone with courage talks about torture:

"Waterboarding is torture. It’s contrary to America’s traditions. It’s contrary to our ideals. That’s not who we are. That’s not how we operate. We don’t need it in order to prosecute the war on terrorism. And we did the right thing by ending that practice. If we want to lead around the world, part of our leadership is setting a good example. And anybody who has actually read about and understands the practice of waterboarding would say that that is torture. And that's not something we do -- period,"- Barack Obama,

Here's Herman Cain, showing us how unprepared he is to be president:

The "lamestream media" are not to blame for Cain's drop in the polls, Cain and only Cain is responsible. Just like Palin and only Palin was responsible for her massive failure to be taken seriously as a vice presidential and presidential candidate, just as Bachmann is too silly a candidate to be taken seriously, and the guy from Texas who can't remember an agency he dislikes enough to eliminate.

Next in line for an invitation to the GOP nomination prom?

Newt Gingrich:

"Gingrich is the only Speaker of the House to have been disciplined for ethics violations.

During his term as Speaker, eighty-four ethics charges were filed against him; eighty-three of them were dropped. The remaining charge concerned a 20-hour college course called "Renewing American Civilization" that Gingrich had taught through a tax-deductible foundation, Kennesaw State College Foundation. Allegations of tax improprieties led to two counts "of failure to seek legal advice" and one count of "providing the committee with information which he knew or should have known was inaccurate" concerning the use of a tax exempt college course for political purposes. To avoid a full hearing, Gingrich and the House Ethics Subcommittee negotiated a sanctions agreement. Democrats accused Gingrich of violating the agreement, but it was forwarded to the House for approval. On January 21, 1997, the House voted 395 to 28 to reprimand Gingrich, including a $300,000 "cost assessment" to recoup money spent on the investigation."--Wikipedia

someone will come by to say that cain is different and would make a great president because he's not a washington insider, and that's how dummies explain away other dummies...they're different...cain is different for sure from a lot of other candidates...he knows jackshit about foreign and domestic policies...and thinks that's a brilliant way to become president...lol...

It's not the pauses, it's the unintelligible response. He couldn't get his head on straight as to what the question was. As usual with all of the current republican candidates, he shoots first, then realizes his foot is in the way. He started off saying he disagreed with the way Obama handled Libya, but could not offer one single reason why - he was clueless. He claims he would be more deliberative and consider more information from intelligence experts, but has no proof that the information provided to Obama was lacking and has no explanation as to how it would be different under his presidency (shudder).

Shaw, you know it is still the lamestream media, dominated by leftist socialists that is showing the video.

If they just decided to not actually show the video, then...

Remember, politico was wrong for simply reporting what we now to be true, settlements that were paid. I pointed this out to someone and was immediately accused of slanting and trying to decide what was true of false.

You are part of the problem for that group if you do not agree with their point of view, regardless of what the facts are...

Anon,

Well, so far, no one has come by to praise Cain.

tcb_va,

Cain could not answer because he's clueless on foreign policy. And he wants to be president? Na ga happen'.

okjimm,

Cain is presently a book and bs seller.

Dave,

I, too, pointed out to someone that reporting facts on events that actually happened is not "smearing" anyone. But Cain supporters will never understand this. The fact that they continue to support him even though he's shown no apptitude to be president, says it all.

I must have dozed off during the clip.

Did I miss anything of significance? ;)

Mr Cain is a 'vanity campaign' for people who have more dollars than they have sense. Mr Cain is being bankrolled by a single payer. He will remain on the public stage as long as the single payer is willing to shell out money.

The RepublicanT Party is tolerating the Fox Network 2012 Presidential Primaries because it does not cost the RepublicanT Party much (in the way of dollars; as for its brand name dignity - that's another matter) and it maintains the media coverage.

Mr Romney will be the national candidate running against Mr Obama. Everything else is circus sideshow.

RN, you missed something that was nothing.

Ema Nymton, I think that's pretty much what is going on with the Cain candidacy. Someone neglected to tell Cain that he would actually, y'know, have to answer serious questions in order to be taken seriously.

The TPers will have to embrace their inner Mitt for 2012.

I'm still not convinced this race is over for the republican field.

What I think is it may very well become a horse race to the finish between Mitt and Newt.

They are both big "R" republicans, Mitt is more liberal but Newt is experienced in national governance and he is the best debater by far.

At any rate the nation is in trouble either way 2012 goes. Just MO.

Vote for Obama. We're in trouble if a Republican is elected president for sure.

WD - Principles matter, concious sits upon my shoulder. I shall not vote for any candidate that I view as "the lesser of two evils". I shall vote write in if a candidate of the republican party worthy of my vote fails to notch the nomination.

I believe you know who that is.
