ROMNEY VOWS TO PROTECT VOTING RIGHTS OF THE MILITARY THAT NO ONE IS RESTRICTING

Mitt Romney courageously claims he will protect the military's right to vote even though no one is threatening to take that right away.  Only in his incompetent campaign's fevered imagination is this happening.  And Mitt wants everyone to know that when it comes to tilting at windmills, he's the guy you want on your side. The poor dear appears to either not know what the hell he's talking about, or his campaign team is grossly incompetent, feeding him grossly inaccurate information, which Romney in turn regurgitates at all his campaign stops.  Here is the latest example, from Romney's facebook page:

Romney:  "President Obama’s lawsuit claiming it is unconstitutional for Ohio to allow servicemen and women extended early voting privileges during the state’s early voting period is an outrage. The brave men and women of our military make tremendous sacrifices to protect and defend our freedoms, and we should do everything we can to protect their fundamental right to vote. I stand with the fifteen military groups that are defending the rights of military voters, and if I’m entrusted to be the commander-in-chief, I’ll work to protect the voting rights of our military, not undermine them."

Admirable, Mr. Romney.  Quite.  But has anyone informed you that no threat exists?  You've just made a fool of yourself, again.

The truth is that since 2005 Ohio has had in-person early voting in the three days prior to the election. But the GOP legislature in Ohio has, this year, stopped early voting during those three days, EXCEPT for the military.  President Obama's lawsuit attempts to RESTORE voting rights for everyone in Ohio.  It does NOT restrict the military or any other voting group.  Here is the lawsuit that was filed in federal court.

Even Mr. Romney's staff couldn't defend that indefensible and easily refuted lie.

"Romney’s spokesman, Ryan Williams, in an interview Saturday could point to no place in Obama’s lawsuit that seeks to restrict the rights of military voters…

And yet, Romney said this:

"President Obama’s lawsuit claiming it is unconstitutional for Ohio to allow servicemen and women extended early voting privileges during the state’s early voting period is an outrage."

This guy wants to be president, yet he can't manage to understand what's true and what is not, then runs off at the mouth about something that is false?  Imagine him dealing with wiley heads of state?

"Romney’s legal counsel, Katie Biber, said creating two separate classes of Ohio voters does not violate the 14th Amendment, though she also did not offer evidence that Obama’s lawsuit would make it tougher for members of the military to vote…"

Of course she can't because it doesn't.  This is the best the GOP has to lead the country:

The Man of La Mentira!

Obama’s campaign blasted Romney for misreading the lawsuit.

“Mitt Romney and his campaign have completely fabricated a claim that the Obama campaign is trying to restrict military voting in Ohio,” said Rob Diamond, Obama’s veterans and military family vote director.

“In fact, the opposite is true: The Obama campaign filed a lawsuit to make sure every Ohioan, including military members and their families, has early voting rights over the last weekend prior to the election.”

Of course he can. It's yet another deliberate lie. The man is a sociopath. How far the Republican party has fallen in four years.

What does it say when Republiscums continue to try and make an issue, of non issues, like voter ID and voter role purging?
Falsely claim Obama is suppressing the military vote. Sick.
I'm sure the Republiscums will back that false claim.
Romney's tax issue - all Romney has to do is release the 23 years of tax returns he gave McCain when he was being vetted for Vice-President. Another non-issue Republiscums are trying to make a big issue.

Left is right, up is down, and lies are truths. It shows the sad state that the republicans are in when they believe that the only way they can win is to fabricate issues.

If this is not an issue why is the DNC suing Ohio to block only military voting up until Monday.
"The Obama administration and the DNC have filed a lawsuit in Ohio, frustrated with a new procedure in the state to allow only military to vote up until the Monday before election day."

"What does it say when Republiscums continue to try and make an issue, of non issues"

About as much as Slimy Reid's the word is out and he said that on the senate floor.
Whatever lies have to be told do anything possible to divert attention away from the Obama recession because the last thing the democrats want is to focus is the Obama disaster.

Rush referred to Sandra Fluke as a slut and requested he be allowed to watch her "sex video tapes". Silence.

Michele Bachmann accused the State Dept of a concerted effort to bring in the Muslim Brotherhood. Silence.

Alan West accused the progressive members of congress of being commies. Silence.

Glenn Beck referred to Obama as a racist. Silence.

Cong. Joe Wilson saw fit to call the president a liar. Silence.

John Sununu declared Obama "unAmerican". Silence.

Dick Cheney repeats that Obama "does not know what he is doing". Silence.

But Harry Reid suggesting that Romney may not have paid taxes over a period of 10 years, based on the fact that he refuses to release the information while running for the highest office in the land, is villified.

It's the silence that characterizes these people not Harry Reid.

Pat,

It is not that Slimy Reid said he thought, it is that he said word is out.

More diversion designed to distract from the incompetent incumbent.
