BENGHAZI! BENGHAZI! BENGHAZI! Part The Infinity

Even though their own House intel report said that there was no cover-up, our Benghazi-obsessed friends on the right won't let that little fact deter them from beating their little tin drums about this non-scandal in order to keep the sheep stirred up, excited, and focussing on something other than what's in front of their noses: And obsessed is too mild a word to describe the Gee-Oh-Pee's crazed devotion to this Tragedy-That- Isn't-A-Scandal that they so desperately want it to be.

How crazily obsessed are they?

This much:

Fox News Aired Nearly 1,100 Benghazi Segments Across 5 Programs, Study Finds

"...the study shows how Fox News, which is run by former Republican operative Roger Ailes, often fixated on minor details and storylines that seemed less about establishing the facts of the Benghazi story and more about scoring political points against President Barack Obama and Clinton, who was secretary of state at the time of the attacks and is the presumed 2016 Democratic front-runner.

For instance, Fox News aired 244 segments suggesting “the Obama administration did not initially refer to the attacks in Benghazi as ‘terror’ or a ‘terrorist act,’” according to the study. The truth is that Obama referred to the attacks the next day as an “act of terror,” a fact Republican nominee Mitt Romney seemed unaware of during a famous presidential debate exchange in October 2012. The network aired 174 Benghazi-related segments in the month leading up to the November 2012 presidential election.

Indeed, Fox News even largely ignored Hurricane Sandy that month to focus on Benghazi, as The Huffington Post noted at the time."

"A running theme on Fox News, and within conservative media more broadly, is that the mainstream media ignored the Benghazi story. The reality is that journalists covered the Benghazi attacks on the ground in real time and in the immediate aftermath. A number of journalists even reached the prime Benghazi suspect before the U.S. government did.

The New York Times conducted a months-long investigation of the attacks, and other news organizations contributed reporting that advanced the public's understanding of what happened that night.

Reporters lobbed related questions in the White House briefing room, and many covered congressional inquiries into Benghazi, which have already included 13 hearings and 50 briefings on the matter -- none of which has yet produced a "smoking gun" to support allegations of a massive cover-up."

So when anyone reads on those hysterical internet news sites and blogs that the Benghazi tragedy has been covered up, or the media have ignored it, or that President Obama and Secretary Clinton have blood on their hands, or that there's a new "smoking gun," just remember that those poor benighted people who continue to ignore the truth are the willing victims of FAUX NOOZ propaganda, and that they will continue to lap up all the fetid codswallop it feeds them.

Take pity on them then send them a truck-load of GAS-X.

THIS IS WHY FAUX NOOZ IS A JOKE:

Sometimes it just sounds like a scratched record. That and it is tedious.

There are many more pressing and critical issues, not the least is the very real threat from ISIL/ISIS.

Time to let it go. Yet the spin continues, followed by correcttions ad nauseam.

It really is move on to important issues time

Yeah, but Hurricane Sandy was engineered by Obama to distract the country from Benghazi. So was everything else that has happened since then. Everybody knows that.

It's like birth-certificate mania for the superficially less insane. And they've got even more incentive to keep dragging Benghazi out, because they can use it against Hillary too, after she takes office.

The Gowdy Hearings will be spectacular in their voice volume, finger pointing and table banging, and then they will be forgotten by Papa History. Those who watch will be doing it to check out the haircuts.

After H. Clinton takes office? Isn't that putting the cart before the horse?

And, something about being over confident can be dangerous.

Just sayin...

it is Obama's fault.

He is also responsible for all the domestic abuse involving Black NFL players.

Obama is also behind the upcoming Nutella shortage, too.

You are talking about the non candidate Hilary who is everywhere campaigning.

Not sure the country is ready to elect another Clinton and her postponing her decision is not helping.
When a Clinton aid was asked what he accomplishments as SS were, she didn't have an answer. On the other side, she is the only person who could make kerry look competent.

I just read Shaw Kenawe's Extremely Crazy and Extremely Offensive blog for the very first time, and I must say that everything I read about her and heard about her is true!
With that being said, .....why do Liberals hate anything that represents America?"

A.C.R.,

Oh he's just one of my fanboys who comes here every day and reads my blog.

If he had any mental acuity, he would have figured out by now that he could actually just stop reading something that upsets him, but "My Conservative Values" is brainless, so he reads my blog every day and then bitches about it on conservative blogs.

He's a monumental nutcase and endlessly amusing.

Thanks for the laugh.

BTW, I forgot to mention. The guy playing the drums in the video above my post? That's "My Conservative Values."

His wife sent it to me.

LOL!

MCV can't be brainless Shaw, apparently he can type. The question is can he type and talk at the same time. We'll never know. Or care. :)

The only reason the republicans keep pushing this is because of Hillary running for president. It will not die away.

Can't we all just "Stand Down" and hope for the best

Everett, the new casino destination.

They'll come for the toxic waste clean up, the Edison plant and the LNG tanks.

Sorry Shaw, this has me upset. It will not end well.

Shaw Kenawe said...

I'm sorry to hear that, Ducky. It's a big mistake, IMO. No one makes money from having a casino in a community except the big wigs like Wynn.

Fox News host Chris Wallace admitted that Fox's "stand down order" narrative about the 2012 Benghazi attacks was false, but still allowed disreputable source Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) AND BLOGGER LISA, OF WHO'S YOUR DADDY to desperately try and redefine the debunked claim into a new attack on the Obama administration

Fox News has persistently pushed the myth that the administration had issued a "stand down" order to stop reinforcements from coming to the aid of American diplomatic facility in Benghazi, Libya during the September 11, 2012 attack. Though the claim was rapidly discredited, by June 2013, the network had repeated the charge at least 85 times in prime time segments, and the allegations didn't stop there. In early February, a House Armed Services Committee report and a bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee report put the myth to rest.

"If you repeat a lie often enough, you're probably a conservative blogger."

Sigh.

The Benghazi Bangers can't let the subject go because they got nothing else to whine about.

Dave Miller said...

Lisa, do you have any proof that a stand order was ever made? go ahead and look for a link. I am sure you will say, as you have in the past, that they've magically been removed by the liberal media.

That way you don't have to face the facts that even conservative FOX News has admitted that no such order was ever given.

Is your belief in this fantasy another falsehood?

For that matter, when Rand Paul parroted a GOP talking point that John McCain met with ISIS, a claim totally debunked, was that a falsehood?

Here's what's interesting... President Obama was wrong to have said "you can keep your insurance". He was stupid and it later turned out to be true. Worse, as many conservatives claim, people in his admin, and maybe even him personally, knew when he said it that it was untrue. And they have walked that back, admitting fault.

Conservatives called that a lie.

Is not what you do when you post obviously untrue statements lying? Is it not continuing to lie when people like you and Jo Jo Politico double down and continue to push the same lies? Was it lying when Rand Paul pushed the untrue McCain myth?

Conservatives say regarding Obama that because he lies, nothing he says can be trusted and that he is evil because of that.

is that also true for conservative bloggers like you and Jo Jo, and politicians like Rand Paul, or just liberals?

Are you able to be consistent in your thinking and essentially name calling?

Shaw Kenawe said...

The interesting thing about Lisa and the false information she sometimes leaves here and on her blog is that she constantly accuses liberals of idolizing and worshipping Mr. Obama. But when I ask her to characterize what she and her friends would call their uncritical posts and comments on anything and everything one of their heroes, such as Dr. Ben Carson, says, she never answers me, nor does she every answer me when I ask her to characterize relentless trashing and slandering of the Obamas that is posted in her comments.

Liberals are constantly slandered by her friends on her blog and are accused of things they have never written, but that is not important to people who do not deal in reality or truth.

I know Jo Joe Politico refused to correct the lies he posted on his blog about the funeral of Maj. Gen. Greene, but at least he doesn't tolerate the sort of slurs Lisa allows on her blog.

I don't know why she does, she's a lovely woman, but I guess one's hatred of a president must overrule one's otherwise good sense.

Les Carpenter said...

Why do people defend so strongly that which doesn't need defending?

Dave Miller said...

Shaw, it is very difficult to get the crowd with whom we interact to enter into a reasonable question and answer without it devolving into a name calling exercise, and yes, sometimes we are just as guilty.

But i know for myself, I try to answer the critics when they ask me specifically about things I write. I know some will say I can get snarky, and I own that, but usually only after someone has refused to even try and answer a question.

Good examples of this are both Joe and Lisa. When asked direct questions in response to their posts, Lisa just avoids, while Joe gets indignant, refuses to answer, and insults. All in one post.

If conservatives truly believe that character counts, especially those men and women of faith who are conservative, and that lying disqualifies one from office, why do they not have the same belief for conservative bloggers and politicians?

Stupid things Conservatives say said...

"the libtards LOVE to forget about the victims. I truly wonder why that is. No doubt it is rooted in sociopath[sic] and ignorance but there is[sic] even more disgusting elements that are nebulous to me.

If the elements are "nebulous," how can he/she identify them as "more disgusting?" Does this ignoramus ever look up the meaning of words?

"I've talked to libtards on the net for 20+ years and after not seeing a single one absorb a gram of intelligence, I just don't bother anymore. In fact, I prefer to see them stumble through life as mushrooms so they can reap some of what they deserve."

Typical mixed up conservative who doesn't know that mushrooms can't "stumble" because they're vegetation anchored to the ground. And what exactly can a mushroom reap that it deserves? Spores? Gills?

More confused and muddled thinking by your average conservative. And this cat says libtards are ignorant?

This is one of the best examples of stupid I've read in a long time. Hat tip to L.O.
