Did he REALLY say that?

Yes he did.

Dr. Ben Carson is the darling of the Tea Party because they think he's the anti-Obama man of color, AND he says all the pretty things the Tea-Pee-ers like to hear.

Pretty. Crazy. Things.

Tea Party bloggers are in love with him and claim he's "sensible," has "common sense," and "true Christian values."

Here's the latest from Dr. Carson:

From Addicting Information:

"Carson railed against LGBT individuals’ demand for equal rights. Carson told members of the media that “a few judges” have overthrown the will of the people in 32 states where it was decided “that marriage is between a man and a woman....

“ 'If two adults want to be together,' ” Carson said, 'I’m not going to stop them from being together.'  Carson suggested that equal marriage rights are not necessary because two people can take the very expensive route of setting up a 'legal contract' so they can 'share property and have visitation rights' or otherwise experience some benefits of marriage."

This is where the Crazy Train pulls away from the station:

Carson added:

“What I have a problem with is when people try to force people to act against their beliefs because they say, ‘they’re discriminating against me.’ So they can go right down the street and buy a cake, but no, let’s bring a suit against this person because I want them to make my cake even though they don’t believe in it. Which is really not all that smart because they might put poison in that cake.”

Project much, Dr. Carson?

The Hill reported that Carson’s remark was met with jubilation from his staffers, but “dead silence from the journalists in the room.”

He's perfect for the clown car. Smart enough to even be the driver.

Another Tea Party hero who will never be president.

The clown car just keeps getting more and more crowded.

Wow!, Just wow.

Don't know about projection Shaw as much as political stupidity and tone deafness. That and a bit of bigotry against all things he disapproves of.

What's next? I can only imagine.

I thought of "projection" because I know that his religion causes him to see gay people as sinners, therefore, maybe it's a subliminal way of dealing with those sinners: poison. Who knows.

But his comment is so strange and naive. It's difficult to believe a grown man with his education could ever say such a mouthful of stupidity.

Of topic but of interest:

The critics of the First Lady's dress (the nerve of choosing an Indian designer when visiting India) have been strangely quiet on her decision not to cover her head during the visit to Saudi Arabia.

What kind of a Muslim is Obama to allow his wife out in public uncovered?

I saw that, Ducky. But I didn't see anything on the usual Tea-Pee-er blogs about her not wearing anything on her Sharia head.

That doesn't match up with their narrative of the Obamas being Muslims, so they just ignore that and talk about the dress she wore.

They are so depressingly predictable.

Astonishing that it didn't occur to him how similarly this comment could have been made about the Southern lunch counters of the Jim Crow era, when they were told they could no longer legally refuse service to blacks. Why didn't black people just go down the street and find a place that would willingly serve them, especially when the segregationist lunch counter might try to poison them? Damn troublemakers.

Carson may be riding the crazy train, but that train consists of a cardboard box with the word TRAIN written on it in crayon with the R the wrong way round, with him and a few of his bigot buddies sitting inside it making choo-choo noises and pretending they're actually going somewhere. The rest of us are on the express train to the future.

Hey there owner of progressiveerupts.blogspot.com. Great site. I think you should be little more strict with the comments.

A Super Sneaky Secret Muslim. This is exactly what a Secret Muslim would to keep their Muslimism a secret. In fact, Ducky, this is the smoking gun.

Dr. Ben has a point. What's to keep a devout Christian baker, whose religious freedom is being threatened, from committing murder? Stupid gays.

So the far right bloggers are talking about Mrs. Obama's derriere?

Asses talking about asses.

It's what they do best.

Dr. Ben is just the latest shiny object the Tea Party has bought into. The commenter who said he'd never be president nailed it. The TPs just like to make idiots of themselves. For them, that's not hard to do.
