This is Mrs. Carson

UPDATE BELOW ON DR. CARSON

This is Kindly Dr. Ben Carson's wife, Lacena Rustin "Candy" Carson.

We've all seen the right wing blogs' slimey racist photoshopped images of Mr. and Mrs. Obama from before Barack Obama became president.

We've also read the nasty, racist comments about Mrs. Obama found on many of the right wing blogs, especially the type of blogs that now accuse Liberals of being "racist" because we quote the nonsensical statements Kindly Doc Carson makes almost daily. Quoting Kindly Doc Carson's own words from his own mouth is considered "hating" him, being "racist," and, of course, being "SCARED!" of him.

But I digress.

I know very little about Mrs. Carson, except that she and Mr. Carson met at Yale where they both received fine educations, and that they have three fine sons. I wonder if the Rabids on the Right will insinuate that both Candy and Ben got into Yale only through Affirmative Action -- because that's what the wingnuts claimed about Mr. and Mrs. Obama's educational successes after being admitted to Columbia, Harvard and Princeton.

I wonder.

And how soon before the Radical Rabids on the Right post racist photoshopped images of Candy looking like a gorilla or how soon before writing comments saying she picks fleas out of her tail while walking upright on her hind legs?

Is her flea infested tail on the other side of the stamp?

Never let it be said I don't look out for the first lady. As a matter of fact, there is a company crassly using her image to sell products for which she certainly didn't give permission. On her behalf, I have filed a breach of copyright suit.

Offending image.

After all, both Candy Carson and Michelle Obama have similar backgrounds, coming from poor families and attaining the American dream by hard work and receiving a top-shelf education. But I'm guessing the knuckle-dragging racist creeps at the above-cited blog that encouraged unending smears against Mrs. Obama will not do the same to Mrs. Carson.

No one would ever call Mrs. Carson stunningly gorgeous or slender or any other adjective that describes conventional beauty, but that's not the point of this post. The point is that the Rabid Rottens on the Right who engaged in slandering and maligning Mrs. Obama's personal appearance have shown themselves to be of the lowest character and worse, lacking any self-awareness of their bigotry and disgusting cowardice.

Never forget that these types of racists wear their ignorance quite proudly, and they never understand that when they insult, demean, and slander Michelle Obama, it says more about their lack of humanity and their overabundance of stupidity than it says about the person they're trying to bring down with their malignant speech.

Dr. and Mrs. Ben Carson

PS. Candy Carson has a striking resemblance to Eleanor Roosevelt.

Both were/are accomplished women.

UPDATE:

As Dr. Carson passes Donald Trump in the polls for the TGOP nomination for president, we are learning more and more about the kindly doc -- from his own mouth and from people who actually fact-check what he's been saying.

Here's the latest on a lie Kindly Dr. Carson has been telling people for years:

Ben Carson’s campaign on Friday admitted, in a response to an inquiry from POLITICO, that a central point in his inspirational personal story was fabricated: his application and acceptance into the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

The academy has occupied a central place in Carson’s tale for years. According to a story told in Carson’s book, “Gifted Hands,” the then-17 year old was introduced in 1969 to Gen. William Westmoreland, who had just ended his command of U.S. forces in Vietnam, and the two dined together. That meeting, according to Carson’s telling, was followed by a “full scholarship” to the military academy.

West Point, however, has no record of Carson applying, much less being extended admission. “In 1969, those who would have completed the entire process would have received their acceptance letters from the Army Adjutant General,” said Theresa Brinkerhoff, a spokeswoman for the academy. She said West Point has no records that indicate Carson even began the application process.

“If he chose to pursue (the application process) then we would have records indicating such,” she said. When presented with this evidence, Carson’s campaign conceded the story was false.

The question is:  Why would a man who has been so successful in his profession keep lying about being accepted to West Point?  Is he pathological?  I don't know. But I do know that we need to be very skeptical about what Dr. Carson has been saying about himself and what he will say in the future.  Fact-checking is our best friend.

Now.  How long before the Carson supporters bellow at the top of their lungs that the Left is trying to DESTROY DR. CARSON!!? when in reality, a little bit of fact checking is showing that not only does Dr. Carson know doodley-squat about pyramids and the Founding Fathers, but he's been lying for years about winning a scholarship to West Point!

Just remember this, boys and girls, the next time your read some whacked-out Tea Bagger talk about Hitlery and BENGHAZI! LIES! BOSNIA! LIES! HILDABEAST! LIES!

The really rabid ones -- the worst 10% or so of teabaggers who produced all those Obama/chimp pictures -- assuredly will stoop to insulting Mrs. Carson in the same way, if Ben Carson remains high in the polls long enough. The truly racist mentality makes no exceptions for party affiliation. (Those types are already trashing Carson himself. Examples here and here, but be warned, it's nasty.)

The mental toughness it must take for the Obamas to keep going in the face of all this crap is almost as unfathomable as the moral vacuity it must take for Carson to pander to it.

Wow! I didn't know that "Radical Redneck" also posted at the links you provided. He and his nitwit friends are like bacteria: everywhere.

No doubt he's a nice guy. Too bad he's also something of a nut. His enthusiastic fans probably don't know American history any more than he does. He just says nutty, ignorant things about anything and because he's a neurosurgeon! to them that must mean he knows what he's talking about. Anyone can google any of his ridiculous stgatments and easily find he's a crackpot on everything that isn't about carving up someone's brain.

"Carson's curious views and ignorance of public policy have become an embarrassment. Indeed, he's beginning to make Donald Trump sound like Socrates."

My first cousin is a retired neuro-sturgeon (Chicago Medical School) and a stark, raving mad Tea Party fanatic. Makes you wonder: Is this some kind of occupational hazard? Some self-lobotomizing placebo effect?

(O)CT(O), I think this may be an explanation: A highly trained expert can be successful in one discipline but totally clueless in some other area. Dr. Carson proves day after day that being a brain surgeon doesn't mean that same surgeon is an expert in other disciplines: politics, history, even vitamin efficacy! Dr. Carson's latest silly pronouncements on the Founding Fathers is just another pathetic example of how someone can be brilliant in one subject and totally dumb in another.

If being a brain surgeon were the most important qualification for the presidency, Dr. Carson would be a real contender. But knowing how to separate conjoined twins, while worthy of awe and respect, has nothing to do with governing this country.

Dr. Carson's fans seem not to understand this simple fact.

Dr Carson's fans believe the crazy stuff he says. You don't hear them refuting what he says.

Shaw... I am not going to defend Ben Carson for his untruths... I just hope that the gleeful primarily left leaning media remember that they have not been overly harsh or judgmental when Democratic politicians have been found to be playing fast and loose with the facts.

If the press adopts a stance mocking the right, who will undoubtedly, with the exception of Trump, show Carson some grace, should we not make the same charge when the left forgives lying by those from that side?

The incident of Hillary Clinton avoiding sniper fire in Bosnia comes to mind. Her lying and fabrication on that issue seem to have caused her no harm in the eyes of many Dems.

All this shows to me is that Ben Carson is little different from other politicians. He lies. He fabricates. Sadly, it is what politicians do, from the right, and the left.

It's all so troubling to me. Why is it so pervasive?

He's at it again

"Even if all the media tries to shut you down -- which they have tried very much to do with me, but they can't because the good Lord has provided me with mechanisms like my syndicated column and like Fox News," Carson said last year. "We'd be Cuba if there were no Fox News, I ought to tell you."

Yes sir, those are your media choices, Faux Snooze or The People's Daily.

Unfortunately, not only does Carson's base lap it up but his campaign managers seem to have
advised him to unleash the real Ben Carson without restraint.

It mat be starting to collapse for Carson

What a manure spreader.

@shaw -- How long before the Carson supporters bellow at the top of their lungs that the Left is trying to DESTROY DR. CARSON!!?

Today over at the the mother ship ...

"They’re Palin-ing Carson, who I like very much, but the Pyramids will now be his “I can see Russia from here” (except you really could see Russia from there, no matter what the press let on)

Didn't take long and the West Point lie is just being shrugged off.

Dave Miller said...

Duck... Palin-ing? What a great term. Except in this case, no one asked him a "gotcha" question like "What magazines do you read." He volunteered that his statements were not accurate.

How is someone telling the truth, Palin-ing anyone?

And again, the grain issue was of his own making. He made the statement. Are we not allowed to use candidates past statements in questions?

Again, this is like when Sharron Angle here in Nevada told the media that they needed to be their [GOP] friend, ask the questions they wanted to answer and report the news we [the GOP] wanted reported.

GOP partisans are mad at the "liberal media" for simply reporting what these folks are saying.

Maybe instead of being mad at the media, they should be angry at the ineptness of their political candidates and the reality they are facing... a party out of touch with the majority of American voters, at least in National elections.

Dave,
Point taken. Frankly I am not entirely comfortable with CNN challenging Carson on his alleged violent tendencies during childhood. Recollections which are always imperfect at best. Notwithstanding a moral issue that goes against the American experience: That all people have a right to raise themselves from hard scrabble beginnings, to reinvent themselves, and emerge as better people. Frankly this CNN fixation smacks of junk journalism.

Forget all this nonsense...... did anyone watch the adults with Rachel Maddow tonight? They were magnificent, personally I have a new found admiration for Martin O'Malley. I could accept him in either the top or second spot of the ticket.

I'm out of town for a memorial service. Will respond to the comments later, but I agree with what this poster @Daily Kos wrote today:

"Carson isn't going away any time soon. However mistaken and misstated the "full scholarship" nonsense was., it's not enough to shake the faith of his supporters. Of course, it does open the door to look at everything he says (and what he said about Jews, guns and the Holocaust was 100x worse)."

Anon... I watched the Forum too... I thought O'Malley did himself well... Bernie, while light on foreign policy gave a good impression and Hillary did herself no harm, even if she would not answer the GOP VP question...

Dave, everyone posting on this blog is going to pull the (D) lever, even if the candidate was a monkey. So for the six people who post here on a regular basis anything said would never change anything. It becomes a feel good chat room.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Anon, you must be a TGOPer because as usual, you're wrong. And you're blind to the right wing TGOP blogs where anyone who has a differing political POV gets insulted, mocked, or deleted. You people never look at the logs in your own eyes, do you. Now run along like a good little troll and go join the 150 sock puppets on the blog that thinks an intelligent political discussion is calling the POTUS and FLOTUS apes and people who disagree with them libturd, libtards, and vermin.
