General John Kelly: "He said that, in his opinion, Mr. Trump met the definition of a fascist, would govern like a dictator if allowed, and had no understanding of the Constitution or the concept of rule of law."

No surprise here.
A neo-Nazi plowed his car into a group of people in Charlottesville, North Carolina, last month, killing one young woman and injuring 19 others. Trump responded by saying there were bad people on both sides and that some of those neo-Nazis were "nice people."
An African-American athlete who exercised his Constitutional right of free speech by kneeling for the national anthem as a protest in response to the killings of unarmed African-Americans was called a "son-of-a-bitch" by Trump at a rally in Birmingham, Alabama, last night, where Trump also encouraged the NFL to fire all athletes who peacefully protest and who exercise their Constitutional rights.
Trump showed America and the world his utter contempt for our Constitutional guarantees, while at the same time he reminded us that his sympathies lie with the white supremacists and neo-Nazis and not with American values.
That's what's living in America's White House.
And that's what the GOP supports.

Shaw, Trump also disinvited the entire Golden State Warrior team because Stephen Curry said he wouldn't go to the White House. And who'd blame him. But rmemeber when Tom Brady didn't go to the WH when the Pats were invited by President Obama? Did Obama disinvite the entire team? NO! That's because at that time there was a real MAN in the WH, not some whiney little crybaby who craps his pants everytime someone is meanie to him. What a disgrace Trump is to our country.
At least 30% of Americans either have no idea what you've said here or don't care. Hell, the Orange hair ninny has no idea so it stands to reason his supporters wouldn't either.
tRump needs to go. He's stupid, dangerous, and a threat to our freedom and liberties. IMPEACH, IMPEACH, IMPEACH NOW!
Sadly RN and others... the likelihood of Trump leaving before the next presidential election is pretty low. And while I loathe the guy, I am not so sure we want him impeached.
If he is, then for years the GOP will be trying to impeach our guys/gals. Is that what we want? I know it's hard, but we need to resist him as we can and then beat him at the ballot box in 2020. There's no more effective a way to show his extremist base that America is NOT with them apart from a crushing defeat in the next election.
Is he going to take on the MLB and Nascar next?
Ray, RN, Kevin, and Dave,, regarding Kaepernick, he has the right to protest against what he perceives as injustices against African-Americans, and people have the right to criticize him. But Kaepernick also paid for his convictions by losing his job with a private employee, not the government.
What Trump did, as the head of the EXECUTIVE branch of the U.S. government, was tell a private entity, the NFL, to fire its employees for exercising their guaranteed Constitutional rights. It is chilling and something we've seen in totalitarian countries. I imagine Kim Jong Un would approve of what Trump said in Alabama. No one's allowed to protest or show a difference of opinion toward the state in No. Korea.
As an American, I reject and condemn Trump for betraying our Constitution. What Kaepernick did is protected speech, like it or not, what Trump said is seditious, IMO.
Kaepernick is the true American, he paid with his job for his right to protest. Trump incited other Americans against men like Kaepernick who have broken no laws.
More evidence of Trump's appalling ignorance of what America stands for. He can take all his Chinese-manufactured MAGA hats and burn them. He's knows nothing about being an American or how to make her great.
Donald Trump is an asshole. Amazingly, he knows nothing about being an American. but he sure acts just like that fat little fuck in N.Korea. Theyre two peas in a rotten moldy pod. I understand how KJ Un wouldn't know what the hell the American constitution is about. What's the POS POTUS excuse?
Well, well, well. Maybe there IS hope for America afterall:

The players stand with the Constitution. Trump stands with fascist worshipping of a flag and government with no questioning allowed. Under Armour is making the right choice. #UniteAgainstRacistDotards

I hope every single player on every team kneels tomorrow in solidarity. Our Constitutional rights should be protected and encouraged, not attacked by a fascist dictator. #UniteAgainstRacistDotards
Anonymous, take heart.
What makes America strong, and GREAT, is the very thing Trump is attacking.
America is better than Trump, and, with the exception of the Trumptorian Guards (his supporters) we prove it daily.
America, as it ought to be will survive. America's job 1 is to unseat tRump in 2020. As Dave has said, ideally in a landslide defeat. tRump is NOT America.
I'm with you Shaw, hopping every player, on every team, kneels tomorrow. And every week following. For the entire season.
Dave Miller: I am not so sure we want him impeached. If he is, then for years the GOP will be trying to impeach our guys/gals. Is that what we want?
Successful impeachment requires 67 votes in the Senate and is therefore essentially impossible without bipartisan cooperation -- that is, Republicans couldn't unilaterally impeach a future Democratic President without a good reason. And by your argument, Trump or any Republican could never be impeached no matter how good the reason.
Anyway, there is a much more important consideration here than the integrity of the US political process. Having a belligerent and impulsive ignoramus like Trump in charge of the US military and nuclear weapons poses a serious threat to the lives of millions of people, especially in the Middle East and East Asia. Americans have a responsibility to replace Trump with a more stable leader (yes, Pence qualifies) and end that extraordinary danger as soon as possible, not three years from now.
Infidel... for sure there is lots to consider here. I would say I'm not sure Pence is an upgrade.
Pence is a theocrat and on a lot of domestic issues he'd be worse than Trump. But he's a "normal" Republican politician and wouldn't be nearly as likely to start a nuclear war in a fit of temper. That's more important. Americans will be judged for decades on what we did to rein in the threat Trump poses to the rest of the world.
IMO Pence is not a narcissist and is saner than tRump. He likely would be less overtly confrontational as well.
