General John Kelly: "He said that, in his opinion, Mr. Trump met the definition of a fascist, would govern like a dictator if allowed, and had no understanding of the Constitution or the concept of rule of law."

It appears that Trump and his cultists took a too-early victory lap on the Mueller Report
Was that true during Whitewater? How about over Benghazi?
I agree with you that we are in an investigationado season, but should Congress look the other way in such a target rich environment where a President is openly flaunting the norms and Constitutional guard rails we have in place?
Sadly, in the middle of all of this, there is no substantive conversation on real issues, policy and our current standing or place in the larger world.
The real issues are simply not loud enough to get noticed while deal with a President who either cannot, or will not tell the truth and is not even well versed enough in the issues to factually answer a question about them.
Because it is trump we are referring to lets throw out all legal precedents. Grand jury testimony should be made public, taxes should be published for everyone, college entrance applications and transcripts should be able to be accessed by the public. Is it ever going to stop so our elected elite can do something other that take bribes and get trump.
skud, I never read once your complaining about never-ending investigations into BENGHAZI! during the Obama administration. Ten investigations were conducted into the 2012 Benghazi attack, six of these by Republican-controlled House committees. In the end, the committee's 800-page report did not contain any bombshells about Clinton's actions — like the claim of a "stand down" order to help the Americans that was never proven.
The Mueller investigation OTOH has charged with a crime/ indicted and/oris sending to prison Trump's personal lawyer, Trump's campaign manager, Mike Flynn, Rick Gates, Roger Stone, Russians, and George Papadopolous.
BENGHAZI! Zero indictments; zero prison time.
And no, I never read your complaints about the BENGHAZI! investigations or how unfair it all was, because you enjoyed seeing Hillary being hounded by the Goopers.
Now all we need to do is sit back and read what the Mueller Report ACTUALLY said, not what Trump's lackey AG WANTED it to say.
And let's not forget that Barr specifically said that the Mueller report DID NOT EXONERATE Trump, even if Trump opened his lying maw and bragged that it did.
As a fair American citizen who is neither predigest, bigoted, or anti-semitic, and as a man, I couldn't really care less about the gender or color of another individual. I really hated Hillary Clinton for what she stood for, her arrogance, her entitlement, her poor judgement and her utter lack of character. I felt that she would have been a horrible president. And I thank God for Donald Trump finally putting that House out to pasture.
Always... your second comment is typical of your crowd... just post anything, without dealing with the post, evidence, facts or anything...
As to why we're seeing so many investigations, Max Boot nails it...
"he [Trump] presides over one of the most unethical and inept administrations in history. Ergo, we are guaranteed to read allegations of Trump misdeeds as long as he remains in office — and probably long afterward.
I like his writing, as I do many others.Look, I don't like many of Boot's solutions for America's problems, just like I don't see folks like Jennifer Rubin, Michael Gerson, David Brooks or many other conservative writers as having the right answers. But I respect their ability and decision to be civil and to call out behaviors on Pres Trump that just a few years ago the GOP found beneath them.
I can see some good in a lot of Trump's policies, but his behavior is repugnant. He lies constantly, shows little of the humility that his professed savior showed on the cross for others and seems to care not to live out the call in Micah to act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
I get that elections have consequences, including different policies. Here's a great example... Trump is getting hammered by many for his approach to North Korea. But he's trying to, I believe, get America a win there. Is he doing like past Presidents? Not at all. But you know what? Those approaches didn't work either. Sure, he may fail. And we'll be no worse off than before. So let's give him some space. He earned that right when he won the election. Period.
But it doesn't change the fact that he's a cad. And not just any cad, a cad who claims to follow Jesus. Boot and others, do a good job of pointing that out. But perhaps Mayor Pete says it best...
“I just don’t understand how you can be as worshipful of your own self as he is and be prepared to humble yourself before God... I’ve never seen him humble himself before anyone.”
Bottom line for me? I don't want a cad for a President.
I'm wondering where Trump gets the misinformation…he simply can’t get it wrong this often; someone is giving him bad information and out it comes in speeches. Nobody believes the noise of windmills causes cancer..imagine Grassley, one of his biggest supporters, calling that IDIOTIC, which it is? Joni Ernst called it, I believe, “ridiculous”….it was bad enough when the Left was constantly correcting him……
He must get more careful and not just spout off whatever little rumor or tidbit he happens to read or be told. I’m thinking he doesn’t have enough experts in the WH ; so few want to work there, and part of it’s because he gets it wrong so often. he needs HELP and he’s NOT GETTING IT. SOme of those he has are fantastic, like Mulvaney, Pompeo, etc. He needs more.
That's from the Mother Ship. She just can't believe that Trump just makes stuff up, with no basis in reality. It can't be him, can it. Because if it was, if he is a liar, then they'd find themselves in a moral dilemma. They're believing there is some secret info only Trump has that shows wind turbines cause cancer. Yet even Z finds that incredible.
It must be tough having to defend such a guy day in and day out for his indiscriminate ramblings, lies and statements.
Dave I know who Always is, it's a regular who reads the far right rabid blogs so I don't have to.
The captain of the Mother Ship can't believe that Trump is delusional, confused, and often a roaring liar? When reality smacks you in the face, people like that who refuse to see what's in front of their noses often make up reasons for Trump's delusions, confusion and lies. It's too embarrassing for them to realize that they've put their trust in a cheat, liar, and fraud, so there must be some outside reason for Trump's miserable behavior. Like him, they never, never, never take responsibility for their horrible choices -- choices they've stuck the rest of us sane Americans with!

You know what? My eyes are glazing over.
Investigation upon investigation -- without end.
Sheesh.

That's what happens when you vote for a crime boss as POTUS.
Investigations into his corruption will NEVER end.

I do not believe the American people have seen a greater collection of filth than exists today in the Democratic Party.

USAToday:
Trump’s security clearance meddling is much bigger scandal than Benghazi or 'her emails'
skud will blame this on President Obama or Hillary.
BTW Skud... you like Herman 999 Cain as a Fed Chair? Or do you think bankers should be running US Money policy??

Rev, is Max Boot your favorite disgruntled former employee?
Anon... not at all.
