Trump's Attorney (He isn't an "Attorney General for the U.S.) Shills for Him

Mueller Said He Would Have Exonerated Trump On Obstruction If The Evidence Supported It, But He Couldn’t

"Undercutting Trump’s claim that Mueller, in addition to Barr, had cleared him of wrongdoing on obstruction, Mueller wrote that if his office had confidence that Trump did not commit obstruction, “we would so state.” But based on the facts and the law, he wrote, 'we were unable to reach that judgment.' ”

BUT. HE. COULDN'T!

Normal Americans want to find out why!

**********************************

Barr disgraced himself this morning.

Never mentioned the "10 episodes of possible obstruction" committed by Trump.

Blamed Trump's "feelings" for Trump's possible obstructive behavior.

And then we learn that Trump's attorney, Barr, did this:

White House and Justice Dept. Officials Discussed Mueller Report Before Release

Barr's  preamble to releasing the Mueller Report is unprecedented in American history, which makes every fair-minded American wonder who he truly serves, the American people or Trump.

Barr lied:

"He said that Trump totally cooperated with the Special Counsel. He said that with a straight face. In fact, he obstructed the investigation at every turn.

Every day, he attacked it as a "witch hunt" and a "hoax". He got extremely angry with Jeff Sessions for recusing himself from the Russia investigation, rather than protecting him.

He fired James Comey and cleaned house at the FBI, firing McCabe one day before his official retirement.

He reportedly attempted to fire Mueller himself, thru the WH counsel, Don McGahn.

Not only that, he refused to be interviewed by the Special Counsel.

He refused to answer written questions on certain subject matters.

So, Barr began his news conference with a lie.

There was little cooperation from the White House."

Possible obstruction does not an indictment make. Proven obstruction makes for an indictment. This is all part of the US legal system which the democrats only want enforced if it is what they want. Just like a certain SS, incompetence is not a crime.

You've got it all wrong, skud. This report does not exonerate Trump. There are 14 cases Mueller referred to outher Justice Dept. agencies. You and the other Goopers are too quick to dismiss this. That you and other Goopers accept the suggestion that Trump hasn't been indicted, therefore no crime, shows how readily you accept a corrupt politician so long as he has an "R" after his name.

Meanwhile Trump shouted "Oh no! This is the end of my presidency! I'm f**ked!" Why would an innocent POTUS yell that upon hearing he's being investigated?

Regardless of what you or other Goopers say, this report is DAMNING of Trump. Very, very bad!

It's up to Congress now to decide what to do with this corrupt and possibly criminal POTUS.

Ms Shaw, The investigations will continue as log as trump is in office. There was not enough evidence to indict. Doesn't say there were not wrongdoings just not enough evidence to indict a sitting president. It is not what you, chuckie and pelosi wanted but it is the conclusion of a multi million dollar investigation. Wrongdoings sure but nothing solid enough to bring the country down.
Maybe cortez will run and we can see our grandchildren live an Venezuela USA but they won't have to work and all their needs will be met.

Sorry, skud, you're wrong. The Mueller Report did not come to that conclusion. But besides all of your comments, the fact, THE FACT is that a president can be impeached for what the Report states Trump did. An indictable crime does not have to be committed. IMO, Trump is a despicable crook who hasn't an honest bone in his body and is a disgrace to the office of the presidency.

Why hardcore Republicans continue to support this liar, cheat, and fraud is a disgrace.

The redacted version of Mueller's report released Thursday showed Mueller could not clear Trump on obstruction of justice and detailed several cases where Trump was unsuccessful in obstructing justice because his aides refused his orders.

[Kellyanne Conway's husband, George]Conway also noted that a president could be removed from office even without committing a crime, and said "the facts in Mueller's report condemn Trump even more than the report's refusal to clear him of a crime."

The grapes seem especially sour today.
For those of you who want to read something into Trump's alleged quote on being fucked. How confident would you be if you were being investigated by "swamp creatures"?

Ed,

Robert Mueller is not a swamp creature.

And no innocent person would have reacted the way Trump did and with the words he used.

Also, Robert Mueller did not bring charges of obstruction of justice because it is not the Special Counsel's place to do so, it is up to Congress to decide if it should go forward with impeachment proceedings.

It is clear from Mueller's report that Trump tried again and again to obstruct justice and the report concludes that it is only because of people like McGahn who refused Trump's unlawful commands that the obstruction was not completed. However, Trump INTENDED the obstruction, and that is a high crime and misdemeanor. A sitting president of the United States tried to obstruct an investigation. That is a crime.

No sour grapes here. Only satisfaction that the American people now know what Trump's criminal intentions were while he occupied the Oval Office.

From the Mueller Report: "Our investigation found multiple acts by the President that were capable of exerting undue influence over law enforcement investigations, including the Russian-interference and obstruction investigations," Mueller's report said.

"The incidents were often carried out through one-on-one meetings in which the President sought to use his official power outside of usual channels," the report continued. "These actions ranged from efforts to remove the Special Counsel and to reverse the effect of the Attorney General 's recusal; to the attempted use of official power to limit the scope of the investigation; to direct and indirect contacts with witnesses with the potential to influence their testimony."

Trump, the report outlined, directed McGahn to have Mueller removed as special counsel. McGahn refused, and even prepared to quit over the matter. The report explained that "McGahn ultimately did not quit and the President did not follow up with McGahn on his request to have the Special Counsel removed"

It amazes me that the Trump defenders keep gnawing at the "no collusion" with Russia part of the Report and ignore that far more damaging intent to obstruct justice part of the Mueller Report.

Trumpistas refuse to see what is in front of their noses: A corrupt POTUS!

Shaw, if the folks you're taking about don't already recognize exactly what the greatest danger tRump presents the nation with is (undermining our institutions and the rule of law) they never will.

It is fear and ignorance that prevents these otherwise good folks from opening their eyes.
