General John Kelly: "He said that, in his opinion, Mr. Trump met the definition of a fascist, would govern like a dictator if allowed, and had no understanding of the Constitution or the concept of rule of law."

Clearly you didn't watch much of yesterdays opening arguments. Nothing the New York Times claims is in Bolton's book is worthy of impeachment. The president has the right to withhold aid for any reason.
Not true. No president has the right to withhold military aid legally authorized by Congress in order to extort an ally to get that president dirt on his political rival. That's what Trup did. That's what Trump admitted to in his redacted telephone transcript with Zelensky. And Trump did that without notifying Congress. When Trump found out that Congress would find out about illegally withholding the aid, he released it. ONLY WHEN HE WAS CAUGHT! Those are all facts.
The Trump impeachment team pointed to President Obama's withholding aid in negotiating with foreign governments. President Obama did that with the knowledge of Congress and in the open, not secretly and President Obama DID NOT DO SO TO ACQUIRE DIRT ON HIS POLITICAL RIVAL.
Those are facts as well.
In Bolton's book, he unequivocally reports that Trump wanted a quid pro quo when he withheld the aid from Ukraine. That's a first-hand witness because Bolton was there and heard it all.
If Trump was so concerned with the Bidens and Burisma, he had the entire DoJ at his disposal to investigate. He had 2017 and 2018 to do so. But the fact is that he didn't decide to get "concerned" about the Bidens and Burisma until he saw that Joe Biden was beating him in the preliminary presidential election polls, and THEN instead of going through the legal channels and telling the DoJ to open an investigation into the Bidens and Burisma, he sent his PERSONAL lawyer and his thug friends, Parnas and Fruman -- who are NOT part of his administration -- to get dirt on the Bidens and then he extorted President Zelensky by withholding military aid (which would help Ukraine fight the Russians) until Zelensky promised to ANNOUNCE (not actually start) AN INVESTIGATION. Those are facts.
Coming here and repeating FAUX NOOZ lies and slanted reporting doesn't change those facts.
Facts are stubborn things, and one of those facts is that Donald J. Trump is a crook.

Bolton Blows Up Trump Team’s Foolhardy Quid Pro Quo Defense
They advanced an argument they didn’t need to make, and now it will cost them.
Don’t build your fortress on quicksand.
That’s been my unsolicited advice for President Trump and his legal team. You always want the foundation of your defense to be something that is true, that you are sure you can prove, and that will not change.
Instead, the president and his team decided to make a stand on ground that could not be defended, on facts that were unfolding and bound to change. Last night, that ground predictably shifted. In a soon-to-be-published memoir, former White House national-security adviser John Bolton asserts that the president withheld $391 million in defense aid in order to pressure Ukraine into investigating Trump’s potential 2020 election opponent, former vice president Joe Biden.

PS. President Obama and the Bidens are not on trial. Trump is. And that's because he's a liar, cheat, and fraud.
Israel's Netanyahu indicted in corruption cases, hours before Mideast peace plan announced
So BiBi, the indicted, will meet with Trump the impeached. Two peas in a pod.
Even the Obama administration had concerns about Buden and Burisma so it is only common sense that Trump would have them too.
Again, "Steve", you don't understand.
