TRUMP ORDERS DEATH OF SULEIMANI

NOTICE:  Believe none of the propaganda the Trump administration puts out about the assassination of Suleimani.

Michael Moore·  "Hello fellow Americans. Do you know this man? Did you know he was your enemy? What? Never heard of him? By the end of today you will be trained to hate him. You will be glad Trump had him assassinated. You will do as you are told. Sit! Fetch! Jump! Get ready to die on your plane ride back home from the holidays. Get ready to send your sons and daughters to die in a new war. War makes the rich richer. War is good. War is a necessary distraction. War is peace. Trump is our Commander! Happy New Decade. It won’t be long now. Shhhh...sleep...there was no collusion...it was a perfect call...I just shot a man on 5th Avenue just because I can...I’m sorry, but due to this national emergency we’ve had to postpone the election..."

Trump unifies Iran against the U.S. with his killing of Major General Qassim Suleimani, Commander of Iranian forces.

Iran vows "revenge" on America.

More Americans will be killed.

Trump administration ordered all Americans to leave Iraq immediately.

What is the Trump administration's policy?

Trump said he wants out of the Middle East.

How will this happen now?

Trump has just kicked a dangerous hornets nest.

Tic Toc, Tic Toc, Tic Toc...

Biden's quip that Trump threw a stick of dynamite into a tinder box is quite accurate.

At this point what difference does it make. No Ambassador killed, no security killed and the embassy is still in one piece and in American hands. Unlike other administrations who chose to apologize to hostile governments for the US protecting their people this administration actually supports our interests. I don't see him sending over hundreds of millions so our enemy can further their arms purchases. There was no utube video to blame this on, this was just hatred toward the US which has been going on for years if not decades.
You must have gotten your talking points from CNN or MSDNC or even the post.

I will say that all of trumps predictions were wrong about obama. He response to the attack on the US embassy and murder of our ambassador was all U-Tubes fault and the -H- did all she could do, she rolled over and went back to sleep. He stabilized Iran by giving them hundreds of millions and paid ransom for a prisoner release. Then he said it was OK for them to build a nuclear bomb and it was our fault that they hated the US. I am very surprised he didn't put up some columns in Tehran and give a speech.

skudrunner, please tell us about your expertise in matters about the M.E. such as this.

Do you know ANYTHING about Iran and its forces? What it's capable of?

People like you cheer on reckless men like Trump. How many innocent people in the M.E. have we killed? Do you even know the history of our involvement there? Of course not. All you have is a toolbox of "Whataboutisms." Nothing else.

The Trump cultists are cheering, pretending he's "protecting" American lives. Why are we surprised? They've swallowed every load of merda he's fed them. This one will be their most delicious.

Well... who knows where all of this leads.

Iran for years has been a major thorn in the side of America and a sponsor of terrorism around the Middle East. It's just a fact. Plenty of people have died as a result of their actions around the globe.

That the US has no strategy or plan for the fall out from this is also a fact. Unless I'm missing something. It's one of the prime reasons both Presidents Bush and Obama decided against this type of action. The other being unsure of the fallout.

Dems would do well to shut up for awhile and let this play out. Let's see where it leads. The immediate carping from some Senators risks alienating Americans who rightfully so, tend to rally around our presidents during these types of crises.

As for how strong the Iranian forces are, let's remember the forces of Saddam Hussein, before the first Gulf War were considered the bestest baddest fighters in the area. And they were done in 100 hours.

This may be a bit too nuanced for Trumpers to understand. The rest of the world gets it, and knows what an enormously dangerous blunder Trump has made in the M.E.

An analysis by Mohammed Ali-Shabani, a London foreign polikcy expert, of Trump's assassination via drone of the senior commander of Iran's Quds force: he is not happy:

'Predictably, the Iranian authorities have promised “severe retaliation”. How that unfolds in practice is anyone’s guess. There is certainly no shortage of US targets in the region. But Suleimani may have, with his death, already have achieved the greatest revenge of all, and without firing a single bullet: namely, his ultimate objective of ending the US military presence in Iraq.

'If he was indeed behind the attack on the US military base that ultimately precipitated his own assassination, then he has likely succeeded in trapping the US into initiating its own ejection from Iraq. So far, most Iraqi decision-makers – from the caretaker prime minister to the country’s highest spiritual authority – have condemned in no uncertain terms the violation of sovereignty that the assassination entailed.

'As for Trump, he is stuck with the same problem he faced before Friday’s strike.

'The United States is no closer to the much-touted “new deal” with Iran, which the president boasted would eclipse that negotiated by his predecessor. Whatever diplomatic off-ramps remained are rapidly crumbling. Meanwhile, at a time when his unprecedented sanctions had stirred unrest inside Iran, the political elite has just been handed a rallying cry. The strike on Suleimani, whose status approached that of national icon, will harden popular sentiment against the US while simultaneously shoring up the regime.

'For all his crowing about the decisive blow dealt to an insolent enemy, Trump may be about to discover that the problem with martyrs is that they live forever.'

Skud's hatred of Hillary Clinton knows no bounds. He frequently brings up her quote "At this point what difference does it make" as a jab to how horrible she is. But, as with most things republicans quote, it is taken out of context. Yes, Shaw, there is no nuance with them. From an article from the Independent UK:

“With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans,” she said. “Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided that they’d they go kill some Americans? What difference at this point does it make?”

She continued: “It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again, senator. Now, honestly, I will do my best to answer your questions about this, but the fact is that people were trying in real time to get to the best information.

“The [Intelligence Community] has a process, I understand, going with the other committees to explain how these talking points came out. But you know, to be clear,” Ms Clinton added, “it is, from my perspective, less important today looking backwards as to why these militants decided they did it than to find them and bring them to justice, and then maybe we’ll figure out what was going on in the meantime.”

Those who are now cheering this on are the exact same fools who promised that there were WMD's in Iraq, then when that fell flat, they assured the world that Iraq had somehow moved it's WMD's all to Syria or maybe Lebanon or perhaps Venus? Then when that proved to be just another fiction created by the GOP, they became outraged that people weren't backing the half-term half-wit Gov. of Alaska Sarah Palin who was, ya know, keeping a darned eye on Russia. They complained about how awful Obama was and we all KNOW the reason for that -- his skin color. And now, these feckless useless lumps of flesh expect us to believe that the dumbest and most vile creature to ever infest our White House is somehow keeping us safe. Even though he's the one who kicked the wasps nest and riled up all the stingy things and even though he's the one who yanked us out of a working non-proliferation agreement with virtually the entire developed world because the black guy had helped set it up.
I truly could NOT be more disgusted with the right if they kicked my dog and giggled. They are the worst thing to ever happen to our great nation and they are as far from being 'conservative' as one could get.

Dave "As for how strong the Iranian forces are, let's remember the forces of Saddam Hussein, before the first Gulf War were considered the bestest baddest fighters in the area. And they were done in 100 hours."

Dave, Iran is NOT Iraq. It's bigger in land size and population, and has a sophisticated military.

See HERE for assessments of its military strengths.

Yes, thousands have died because of Iran. How many deaths do you think America is responsible for because of the Iraq War? Evening out scores is not a path to leaving the M.E., IMO.

I'm pretty sure most of the Trumpers who come here don't know the history of how the CIA overthrew Iran's democracy in 4 days.

On Aug. 19, 2013, the CIA publicly admitted for the first time its involvement in the 1953 coup against Iran's elected Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadegh.

1952: Iranian Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadegh.

"[D]ocuments provided details of the CIA's plan at the time, which was led by senior officer Kermit Roosevelt Jr., the grandson of U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt. Over the course of four days in August 1953, Roosevelt would orchestrate not one, but two attempts to destabilize the government of Iran, forever changing the relationship between the country and the U.S.

We have been reaping the whirlwind since then.

OaR, project much?

Trump has been wrong on almost everything involving foreign policy. North Korea HAS NOT denuclearized, as Trump bragged it had. KJU is still testing missles. Trump betrayed the Kurds and left them to face slaughter by the Turks. The M.E. is about to get worse with this latest assassination, and Trump promised to get us out. Now is placing more of our blood and treasure in harm's way caring about America? If you or any other Trumpers think a war with Iran will be a walk in the park, you are dead wrong.

Possumlady, I've learned over the years that skudrunner and his Trumper pals are adept at taking anything Hillary or President Obama said out of context in order to smear their reputations. Never have I read skud's disgust with Trump's mocking a POW, a Gold Star family, or a handicapped journalist, among many other of Trump's disgusting slanders, which means to me that he and his fellow Trumpers are okay with Trump ridiculing members of our military who serve America.

skudrunner said...

PL, That is funny that you would quote the -H- saying we need to figure out what happened. You do know she had no intention investigating what happened. She couldn't even attend the hearings because she bumped her head. I don't dislike her but she is the reason we have trump in the office.

I was never in favor of the US being in Iraq or Iran. We should have just let hussain murder millions to cleans his country and not gotten involved and we should pull everyone out now and let them continue their slaughter of innocent civilians. After all at the point what difference does it make. Why do we even have a presence in Iran when we will never be anything but an enemy to them. We can just write off the billions obama gave them and be done with it.

BlueBull, I can't count the number of times I've read on right wing blogs and news sites that the Iraq War was a huge FUBAR and that we should NEVER get dragged into another.

And here we are.

What the hell did those Trumpers think would happen with a fuctioning illiterate, moral degenerate in the Oval Office?

What. Is. The. Strategy?

From VOX

“A nasty, brutal fight”: what a US-Iran war would look like
The bottom line: It’d be hell on earth.

A deadly opening attack. Nearly untraceable, ruthless proxies spreading chaos on multiple continents. Costly miscalculations. And thousands — perhaps hundreds of thousands — killed in a conflict that would dwarf the war in Iraq.

Welcome to the US-Iran war, which has the potential to be one of the worst conflicts in history.

The Thursday night killing of Maj. Gen. Qassem Suleimani, who led Iranian covert operations and intelligence and was one of the country’s most senior leaders, brought Washington and Tehran closer to fighting that war. Iran has every incentive to retaliate, experts says, using its proxies to target US commercial interests in the Middle East, American allies, or even American troops and diplomats hunkered down in regional bases and embassies.

It’s partly why the Eurasia Group, a prominent international consulting firm, now puts the chance of “a limited or major military confrontation” at 40 percent.

But the seeds of conflict weren’t planted with Thursday’s airstrikes alone. Washington and Tehran have remained locked in a months-long standoff that only continues to escalate. The US imposed crushing sanctions on Iran’s economy over its support for terrorism and its growing missile program, among other things, after withdrawing from the 2015 nuclear deal last year; Iran has fought back by violating parts of the nuclear agreement, bombing oil tankers, and downing an American military drone.

The crisis has become more acute over the past week. An Iranian-backed militia killed an American contractor while wounding others in rocket attacks, leading the Trump administration to order retaliatory strikes on five targets in Iraq and Syria that killed 25 of the militia’s fighters. In protest, the militia — Ketaib Hezbollah — organized a rally outside the US embassy in Baghdad where some got inside the compound and set parts of it ablaze.

That led Secretary of Defense Mark Esper to tell reporters on Thursday that “if we get word of attacks, we will take pre-emptive action as well to protect American forces, protect American lives,” adding “the game has changed.” The US killed Suleimani hours after that statement, underscoring that change."

From this moment on, every drop of American blood and every dollar of American money wasted on the orange blob's dic& waving and playing at war (where was he when he SHOULD'VE actually served? I gave ten years - what did that coward give?) will be on the heads and hands of each and every GD fool who voted for the blob. And don't think we won't remind you for the rest of your miserable lives.

BlueBull The Trump cultists are on board with this. Some are even saying we can whoop Iran's ass easily. That's how stupid they are.

Thank you for your service. I salute you.

I have a grandson and a nephew in the military. Trump's sons and grandchildren are nice and safe while he plays with our children's lives. I don't believe in Hell, but if I did, I would wish him eternal suffering for what he's done to America and what will happen in other parts of the world. He is an evil man.

Anon 1230, can't the same be said for the assignation of bin laden or the aspirin factory bombing or the deaths of troops during the carter regime. The left doesn't seem to be upset by those deaths but a general who was responsible for thousands of deaths is just horrible. The left didn't seem all that upset when an ambassador and staff were allowed to be killed because of non action. Somehow the outrage is not pointed in the right direction.

Anonymous 1230 said...

"Anon 1230, can't the same be said for the assignation of bin laden"

bin Laden had an assignation? Who knew?

But no, Sunshine it's not the same. bin Laden was a stateless terrorist. Suleimani was not he was 2nd in charge of Iran, a sovereign country. What tRump did was assassinate a citizen of Iran in Iraq. There are international laws against that, but we know tRump is a lawless p.o.s. himself.

The rest of your comment is your usual ignorant bullshit written by someone who knows nothing about the M.E. or anything else, really. Why Shaw allows your bullshit here is a mystery.

skudrunner said...

I am glad you are a ME expert and also an English scholar. You do give a lot of credit to someone who was responsible for the murder of thousands which would make him a terrorist. Wasn't bin Laden in a sovereign country when he was killed, since you are an expert please enlighten me.
I am uncertain why Shaw allows people who hide behind Anon on her board so both of us have questions on that. Guess she likes to have differing of opinions, make you stronger you know.
