This is classic authoritarian/fascist tactics, and Trump is the cheerleader inciting his cultists to put President Obama, whose presidency was scandal-free, in jail.
Trump, who has the most corrupt and felonious presidency in modern times, is stoking the flames of hatred and sedition with each of his rallies. Those rallies, BTW, that he's now taken indoors? No social distancing, and few if any masks. He's on a mission to kill members of his own cult. Only this time with a deadly virus instead of Kool-Aid.
And his cultists love his efforts to kill them.

In response, many attendees began chanting "lock him up!", a riff on the "lock her up" chant the president encouraged during his 2016 run against Hillary Clinton (D), during which he alleged that his opponent had committed crimes by operating a private email server as secretary of state.

Trump has no character. None. He's a malignant narcissist and pathological liar who cheated on all of his wives with porn stars and Playboy models, scammed hundreds of Americans with his fake Trump U., and other Trump failures.
But the worst, the absolute worst was his lying about the deadliest virus since the Spanish flu, telling Americans it was a "Democrat HOAX," when he absolutely knew it was dangerously fatal, and he continued to hold rallies with people packed inside arenas without masks.
What kind of psychotic mind does that to his own people? To anyone, and continues to lie about a pandemic?
Oh. And did I mention he said the men and women in our armed forces are "losers and suckers" for serving their country?
Yeah. That too.
Trump's cultists love all of this. They admire a failed human being.

But still, Trump continues to care more about boosting his own ego through superspreader rallies than about the health and safety of Nevadans.” That is a powerful message that cannot be repeated enough.
This is the character of a malignant narcissist that Trump cultists love. He doesn't care if his rallies kill his cultists, and they don't care if the die, so long as they can scream "LOCK HIM/HER UP!" and get that thrill of "sticking it to the libs."
Beyond pathetic. Those cultists will spread the deadly virus around to innocent folks, possibly killing them, but like Trump, it's not about caring for their fellow Americans, it's about getting a chance to SCREAM their hatred for the same people Trump hates.
Trump is truly a destructive, malevolent failure of a human being.
There is a strain of Trumpism that truly believes Dems need to be locked up. In their heart of hearts, that group of ppl believe that folks like the Clintons, Obamas, Bidens and now Kamala Harris are guilty of various crimes. They know it in their heart and lack of evidence will not sway them.
Why?
Because they believe the system protects people from the left, while at the same time, criminalizing people on the right. In their eyes, the left has been using the law for years to get their way, push their policies and accomplish their goals. All because Dems and "leftists" are unwilling or unable to do the hard work of legislating.
They are convinced that if the media attacked the left and the courts were honest, Dems like Clinton, Obama and more would finally be relegated to the jail cell they believe these folks warrant.
It is clear to me that nearly half of Americans today are as gullible, or empty headed if you prefer, as the supporters of Adolf Hitler were in the 30's and 40's. And if we should, god forbid, reelect this crazed charlatan in November we will have effectively killed the Great American Experiment in liberal democratic government.
Perhaps, for the trumpers, leading their own lives is just too frightening for them anymore and they need someone to tell them horsesh** lies to make them feel better. trump serves this purpose for them. With trump they can continue to live with their heads buried in the sand believing all the fairy tales they grew up believing.
trump, like every authoritarian minded individual in positions of power believes in his own "genius" and that "he alone can fix it." He is of course neither a genius nor can he fix anything, something that has become increasingly evident over the past almost 4 years.
The parallels between trump and Hitler are numerous:

The exaggerated threat to federal property and domestic order, used by the Trump administration as a pretext for introducing federal law enforcement officers in Portland, Oregon, and other cities, is Trump’s Reichstag Fire. He hopes to provoke an “insurrection” that he can use to justify calling in active duty military troops and even declare martial law. Like Hitler, he is attracted to authoritarianism and will go to any lengths to maintain his grip on power.
Trump’s deadly demand that society and the economy return to “normal” in the face of the out-of-control COVID-19 pandemic is his Nero Decree. He has abandoned any role in managing the pandemic other than hectoring state public school officials into resuming classroom instruction in the fall, a measure sure to increase the death toll, including among children. Like Hitler, he is a sadist, without regard for human life.
The obvious limitation of a comparison between any other malignant narcissist and Hitler lies in the scale of the harm done by Hitler. I am not suggesting that anything Trump has done or will do is comparable to the Holocaust. But that does not mean that we should not look to Hitler’s behavior for clues for what we can expect from Trump. It is how we learn from history — or at least should learn — to protect ourselves from leaders like Trump.
Analogies by pundits to the Reichstag Fire and Nero Decree are so commonplace that they tend to lose their impact. That should not be the case when applied to Trump. In his case, the comparisons raise the gravest of concerns. They serve to warn us of what may lie ahead.
Trump’s malignant narcissism makes him extraordinarily dangerous. He will stop at nothing to meet the needs of his insatiable ego, including attacking our democracy and precipitating the unnecessary deaths of tens of thousands of Americans or more from COVID-19...

How is it possible that politico, FOX News, The Guardian, Slate and more, are all reporting that an ad the Trump Campaign released talking about Supporting our Troops showed three backlit soldiers as fighter jets flew overhead.
It's a beautiful scene even though the jets are... wait for it... Russian MIGS!
Should we believe the campaign is so incompetent they didn't check this and it's an innocent error? Or are they just purposely trolling America and using our soldiers as props?
And... should anything be read into the fact that one of the rifles in the ad is a Russian AK 74?

I think everyone knows that biden is just holding a seat for harris and she confirmed that this week. I do wish we had a better choice that the two we have.

Ms Shaw, our education system has been broken for decades and I won't even blame the swell guy for that. We teach classes to the lowest common denominator and because we can't discipline for behavior and must mainstream everyone it will remain broken. Because of the NEA teachers don't have to teach and there is little a school can do. Vouchers are a way to improve the system but there is a lot of opposition to choice.
