Trump's niece, Mary Trump, warned us about Trump becoming unhinged and unmoored from reality if he loses the election. The one thing that terrifies Trump is being seen as a loser. That may explain his strange and frightening appearance at the White House podium this evening:
In a scene worthy of any Banana Republic, Trump declared himself the winner of the 2020 election.
Just when you thought he couldn't be more insane, he finds a way to surprise you. If there is any doubt about how little he cares for our democracy, here is your answer:
Trump just spoke from the White House in what could only be called a surreal, grievance-filled rant, insisting he won the 2020 election even though he trails Joe Biden in electoral votes and hundreds of thousands of outstanding ballots have not been processed.
Trump complained about "phony polls" and "suppression polls" that he said were manipulated by "big media" to hurt Republicans, and repeated a lie that he had an early lead in some states before it "miraculously" got "whittled away in secret."
IMO, this is an attempt to create civil unrest. This is despicable!
Text from a friend:
"The 'victim' speaks his unsubstantiated 'alternate facts.' The ravings of a madman were just uttered in the White House. When the law cannot be twisted by Trump, then the law becomes a nuance to Trump.
One senses Donald will ultimately be escorted from the WH grounds."

Nuisance, not nuance. Trump knows nothing about nuance.
Dave
Thanks. That's my typo!
NBC News quickly fact checked him and called out all his false statements.
This is what the trumpers talk about with their bleating that the “media” is against him. Just fact checking all his lies!! How mean can the big, bad old media be — smh 🤦♀️

America's biggest adversaries are loving what they are seeing.
trump, beyond a shadow of doubt that be is indeed a clear and present danger.
Yeah... it happens. Interesting, most people read those as they are supposed to be. But that one was so good I was laughing.
Think about it... Trump and Nuance?
That's like Wingnuts and Thinking.
The GOP and Consistency.
Count the Votes and Don't Count the Votes.
Today's statements from Trump and Very Stable Genius.
We could go on, maybe make it a parlor game.
His mind is easy to lose. It's so tiny.
He is just being himself here -- a whiny, petulant toddler who throws an incoherent tantrum whenever he doesn't get his own way.
Possumlady, that appearance by Trump this evening was frightening. He looked and sounded awful and what he did say was without precedent in American presidential electoral history. He claimed he won, again, without having won the required electoral votes, and he cast doubt on American democracy. I've never seen anything like it, except in a Banana Republic!
On a happy note, Joe Biden has 4 million popular votes than Trump, the most any presidential candidate ever had, and still counting!
Infidel753, Yes, it's Trump being his immature, juvenile pouty self. Embarrassing to himself, America, and the world. How wonderful it will be to have an adult back in the White House.
Dave, "Trump and nuance?" Like Trump and human decency. You'll never see those two together in a sentence unless it's in a comedy routine.
RN, Yes, our enemies are having a good laugh -- Putin in particular.
Meanwhile, here's one of the latest headlines from the New York Times:
Biden Urges Patience; Trump Lies About Count
It's a though we already have an adult as our president-elect.
How wonderful it will be to have an adult back in the White House.
I've been thinking that for so long.....
HIs handlers must have gotten through to him that he is losing.....and Trump isn't having it. I am sure he has been raging for days; now he is in the "blame phase". He didn't do anything wrong, it is the evil Democrat's fault, and the media's fault and even the pollsters fault. Trying to make himself the victim again.
The stages of grief, denial, anger, bargaining, despair and acceptance doesn't seem to apply to Trump facing a loss. He never loses. He always gets what he wants even if he has to bully, sue or steal it. So he bounces from denial, anger to blame and back to denial, anger, blame and finally vengeance. If he can't have something he will burn it down so no one else can have it either. He is going on his vengeance tour during the lame duck and after that he is reaching for the matches. Be prepared.
From AlterNet: Harmeet Dhillon, a legal adviser to the Trump campaign, said in an appearance on Fox Business that "we're waiting for the United States Supreme Court -- of which the president has nominated three justices -- to step in and do something". [end]
They continue to believe there is a chance of a SCOTUS coup.

I never imagined in my lifetime that I'd see a POTUS try to use the SCOTUS to keep him in a White House he lost! We came this this close to a Trumpian coup d' etat in America!
Last night's speech was disgraceful! Trump out-lied even himself!
gwb successfully pulled off a scotus coup. Al Gore won FL and had the presidency stolen from him. Dotard is losing in multiple states. A bridge too far for the Supreme Court, apparently. If it came down to one state I think they'd probably anoint him.
