General John Kelly: "He said that, in his opinion, Mr. Trump met the definition of a fascist, would govern like a dictator if allowed, and had no understanding of the Constitution or the concept of rule of law."

Hope you’re sitting down before you hear this shocker: Trump’s purported Monday press conference intended to rebut charges in Georgia indictment may reportedly not be happening, after all.

Planned parenthood clinics bombed.

OB-GYN Docs who perform abortions shot and killed.

A plot to kidnap the Governor of Michigan and overthrow that state's government.

A Buffalo TOPS market shot up.

A mass shooting in El Paso.

A synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh.

A plot to kill the Democrat winners of a county election in New Mexico.

A plot to shoot President Joe Biden.

An insurrection against the US Government and a series of brutal attacks on the "Men in blue", US Capitol police officers after their candidate lost the 2020 presidential election.

And now death threats against a US Federal judge for having the audacity to be named a judge in one of the Trump criminal trials.

A White Supremacist march advocating that "Jews will not replace us" in Charleston that ended in the death of one and numerous other injuries

Each and every one of these instances happened because US citizens on the right, who broadly support GOP policies and former President Trump, were/are unhappy with the direction of the country.

Instead of working to converse with and convince voters who disagree with their policies, they've decided it's better to kill those voters, democratically elected officials, the judges who help try the cases against these miscreants.

Instead of openly condemning the violence, the GOP, their elected politicians and their supporters in the media and blogosphere, remain mostly silent. They continually refuse to offer any full throated denunciations of the slaughter their followers bring to America each and everyday.

But they do follow the former president, who encourages the violence and they look away, so as not to be troubled by the death and mayhem they encourage and enable with their silence.

The Dems, nor President Biden do not have all the answers for what ails America. But to date, we have yet to see such a conglomeration of GOP and MAGA White Nationalist aligned killers, bombers and people who think violence, instead of the ballot box, is the best solution if you can't win an election.

What???

The Monday Exonerate Trump presser is not happening?

Was he wrong when he announced it? Or was he lying? Did he change his mind after he realized he had nothing?

And perhaps most important, will it matter? Because his friends that enable killers, will assume he had that press conference after all. Because he said he would.

And he's never lied before, so why would he start now???

At least in their cultish minds.

We all know that "press conference" would have been nothing but more rehashing of the same old stolen-election blather Trump's been flatulating out for two and a half years now. It would just have been another opportunity for him to self-incriminate. Maybe his lawyers managed to get him to understand that.

Beschloss had more to say...

"The scale of that [what trump has done and is doing] is so far beyond Nixon that if we’re looking for a historical parallel, much more appropriate parallel would be Jefferson Davis. Jefferson Davis, of course, was never a president of the United States, but he was the president of the Illicit Confederate States of America. He tried an insurrection against our American Union for four years, failed with his military. But what did Davis say after the end of the Civil War? He was indicted. He was never sent for a long time to prison. And what did he say a few years later? He said, “I, I and the Confederacy did not lose the Civil War. We were cheated out of a victory that we won.”.

Who does that sound like to you?

Who indeed?

Will any conservative troll, Skud or anyone else honestly answer that question from Beschloss...

All you'll hear is crickets from cons and repubs.

I am a Republican and Mr. Trump had worn out his welcome with me when he refused to concede his loss in November of 2016. We can argue over what started all this. I would say Democrat operatives and foreign influence smearing him in 2016 and sabotaging his presidency before it even got started touched all this off. The press, federal law enforcement, and intelligence agencies gleefully piling on has contributed to where we are as well.

Two wrongs don't make a right, and Mr. Trump has been wrong, wrong, wrong. He has handled this poorly and unprofessionally. Many people including him and many of his supporters rightly saw the press and government agencies refused to respect the will of the people. Democracy? Goodwill towards a new president? Only if its the approved president, apparently.

Why are working people, including black people and Hispanics, migrating the the GOP? For however horrible Trump is, and all his bald-faced lies and stupidities, why would so many people refuse to side with Democrats? Think that one over, friends.

Sorry, Hubert Wilson, but Trump and Trump alone is responsible for what happened during his presidency and where he is today.

Almost every cabinet and military appointee Trump put in his Cabinet has said he is an awful person who is lazy, a bully, stupid, and vindictive and who needs to be praised and venerated by those who work for him. He demands loyalty and gives none to those he demands loyalty from. He started his presidency by letting America and the world know he is a sexual predator, and it all went downhill from there.

The "will of the people" WAS respected. He became president. Hillary Clinton did not invite her followers to go to the Capitol and interfere with the transfer of power. She conceded.

The Obamas were gracious to Mr. and Mrs. Trump when they assumed the WH living quarters.

Trump did NONE of that when Joe Biden became POTUS.

Trump HAS NEVER to this day conceded the 2020 election and is still saying it was rigged.

Trump doesn't get to blame the media or anyone else for his failed presidency and his 91 felony indictments and being found liable for rape.

He has only himself to blame.

Some Hispanics and African-Americans are "migrating" to the GOP, true, but they are STILL a demographic that is firmly and overwhelmingly with the Democratic Party.

Sorry indeed.

To update my post above, word comes today that a man who cannot stand the LGBTQ community having equal rights, an admitted right winger, shot and killed a clothing store owner in Lake Arrowhead, CA.

Why?

Because she flew a rainbow gay friendly flag outside.

Again I ask our conservative friends, who we know from other posts here read this blog, why do such horrible people, many of them killers, feel like they are part of your movement?

Theresites? FJ? Skud? Sockpuppets?

Can any of you tell us?

Les Carpenter said...

Don't hold your breath for any conservatives or their sock puppets to tell us Dave.

They can't. Why? Because they know, deep within themselves, it is wrong.

The beliefs they hold that the LGBTQ+ communities are somehow evil and dangerous to what they consider "normal" society is based in archaic man made religous dogma that has no basis in reality.
