Did you watch the same posted video that I and thousands of others watched? Because all the interviewer did was repeat to Trumpers statements that Trump made but which the interviewer attributed to Biden. When Trumpers were erroneously told that Biden said those statements, the Trump cultists denigrated Biden and impugned his cognitive abilities. When the interviewer corrected herself and said those statements were made by Trump, not Biden, the Trump cultists saw nothing wrong with those Trump statements.
This is a stark example of how Trump supporters think: They don't.
They're cultists who are too blind to understand even their own hypocrisy and their allegiance to a conman and will excuse Trump's disgusting and egregious behaviors and statements because THEY DON'T THINK!
And there are millions of these poor souls who may very well be responsible for putting the Liar, Cheat, Fraud, and Rapist back in the WH.
To stay neutral on this is to welcome that hellish possibility.

Nothing inflammatory here, this is boilerplate Trump. The quote they reference is widely known, seen and disseminated. There is no way someone can deny that Trump said these words, and I for one, applaud NewsMax for posting it, even if it only lasted a few hours before they took it down.

My favorite is the one from Real Phil Jones saying Newsmax was "deliberately misquoting President Trump" in spite of the link and ample video evidence to the contrary.
I've come to the conclusion that nothing will get through to people, because they don't care. Facts don't matter. Really, they just deny the truth because they've determined Biden to them, is an existential threat to their liberty.
They will continue to support Trump, because they believe he's being unfairly targeted by the legal system, is a victim of lawfare and speaks to their anger about loss of status in a rapidly changing multicultural America.

Biden has a under 40% approval rating in all categories and a 56% disapproval rating after 3 1/2 years at the helm. Trump has around the same numbers of 42/45. What this shows is few want either candidate and deserve better. You have dedicated your blog to hating trump which is you right but what you do not point out is neither candidate is qualified for the job.

Well, just read what skudrunner said about me -- that I've "dedicated my blog to hating Trump," when, the FACT is that I publish what Trump has said and done. Like Trump's cultists, skudrunner sees that as an attack of hatred instead of understanding that Trump is a seriously damaged human being who is dangerous to himself and to our democracy. Ms. Shaw, I actually read the immigration bill and it has some good points but it still allows for massive numbers of illegals or uninvited crosser's unless you consider 1.8 million a small number.
Why not do for the southern border what we expect from Europeans. Apply and be given permission to enter or do what Mexico and Canada do which is have proof you are going to leave.
The immigration bill is much like the presidential candidates which is the best of the worst.

Here's a question for you, skud: Why didn't Trump, when he had the WH, the House and the Senate in 2017, come up with an immigration bill?
Instead, Trump proposed tax cuts for billionaires and the Republican House and Senate passed that.
Our immigration system has been broken for a long, long time.
I don't recall your complaining about immigration during 2017 when Trump and the GOP had complete control over the border and could have passed legislation that addressed that problem.
Maybe immigration problems bother you only when a Democrat is in office? Maybe?
For that matter, Trump had a deal with Pelosi and Shumer for his wall done. He reneged on it. If I remember right it was because he got 28 billion for the wall and had to agree to one billion for school lunches. Heaven forbid kids be fed. We will never get the perfect immigration bill some, like Skud, want. Because our Democratic system is built on the idea of consensus and compromise. Everyone gets some of what they love and some of what they hate, but in the end, it's better than what we had.
That's how you legislate in a pluralistic, two party system.
Skud may not like parts of the current immigration bill, but the fact remains, many in the GOP have said it is the best bill we've all seen in years, decades, even.
