General John Kelly: "He said that, in his opinion, Mr. Trump met the definition of a fascist, would govern like a dictator if allowed, and had no understanding of the Constitution or the concept of rule of law."

P.E. is off to California.

I'll be checking in now and then for some light posting.

Looking forward to spending 3 weeks with my daughter and grandsons!

Be excellent to each other!

Meanwhile, in Trump's immunity hearing at the SCOTUS:

"In a question to Trump attorney, Sauer, Supreme Court Justice Sotomayor asked a simple hypothetical question: If the president ordered the military to assassinate a rival he views as corrupt, "is that within his official act for which he can get immunity?" Trump’s lawyer responded, “It would depend. We can see that could well be an official act."

WHAT? I am begging MAGA supporters to tell me that that is what our founding fathers wanted."

This is how a tyrant, king, or despot acts, not the head of a democratic republic.

The forces behind trump and the trumpublican party Do Not Care if This Republic Fails and the Rule of Law Is Declared Unconstitutional. And, the Constitution Is Buried ans Forgotten.

And more importantly enjoy your three weeks in Cali with family!

Three weeks of disconnecting from MAGA BS will seem like three weeks of liberation. If you can do it. :)

Is that where you will be? No beach, but beautiful.

Lawyers used to laugh when they heard Nixon’s analysis during Frost/Nixon: “When the president does it, that means it’s not illegal.” Listening to the arguments before today’s Supreme Court, it appears the Republican Justices are all in with Richard Nixon. American democracy may be unraveling quickly. - John Dean

Now forget about this fresh hell of fascism from the Red Hats in the Supreme Court, and enjoy your time with your daughter and grandsons.
