I've been saying this for years. The US does not reproduce, or have enough home born ppl to even sustain our economy at current levels.
And you won't find an economist or person who really studies these numbers who disagrees on either the left, or the right.
The problems Florida is facing, and trying to solve through child labor, the likes of which we haven't seen in the US for generations, is one of the GOP's own making. And they've yet to explain their solution beyond what DeSantis is offering and the idiotic "Americans need to get off their butts" panacea.

Less workers drives wages higher for those who are working. Because they know their value. Which of course leads to, wait for it... inflation.
It has been decades since the US, with declining birth rates reproduced at a level to sustain our economy. Isn't it ironic that the fix to this and to make America great again is to eliminate immigrants. But then that fix craters the economy because of lowered production and relights inflation.

What we need is comprehensive immigrant reform and a better guest worker program. David, Sorry to have you believe I am the problem. Yes we disagree politically but I still think your heart is in the right place. I also believe women have rights that a man does not and that includes competing on a level playing field. If anyone knows what is happening with illegals it should be you because of what you do and where you live. I also believe if you are in the country illegally you are a criminal and should be sent back. The administration has messed up in many areas and that includes deporting people they shouldn't. With the border assault of the previous four years it is hard not to make mistakes clearing some out.
