When ignorance sits in reason's place, as it defenitely does with Trump, wise leaders and nations will take the neccessary steps to protect their citizens from potential danger and harm.
America is not respected more. But it does appear Trump the bully has instilled a certain fear amongst our former allies.
To Trump fear means respect. Just like it does to all mob bosses.

Vandals are destroying Teslas. It's wrong. No Democratic official or newspaper has endorsed it. We don't know who's actually behind it. The know-nothings blame Soros, without evidence.
We could say it's the Proud Boys or other Nazi-leaning paramilitary groups doing it to make the Left look bad. Who knows? No one does at this point.
No LEOs have been beaten, and then died as a result of having been beaten at the Tesla dealerships. No one is trying to interfere with the legal transfer of power by certification of the electoral college vote. No one is screaming for JD Vance to be HANGED!

According to AP, which has been banned for refusing to use the term "Gulf of America' from Trump briefings (we know damn well who should be banned). reports "Some Tesla owners have resorted to cheeky bumper stickers to distance themselves from their vehicle’s new stigma and perhaps deter would-be vandals. They say things like “I bought this before we knew Elon was crazy” or “I just wanted an electric car. Sorry guys .” Right out of the "Do you follow Jesus this closely?" genre. My daughter in California and my son in New York both drive Teslas. And they bought them before they knew Elon was crazy! I've asked them if there's been any vandalism on the cars, and, thankfully, nothing has happened. So far.
