FOX NEWS: THE MOST DANGEROUS CABLE NEWS STATION IN AMERICA

Just watch and listen to them thinking of ways to shred the U.S. Constitution.

And remember, FAUX NOOZ is the most watched cable news station in America.  Their dumbass news readers suggest that in dealing with terrorists we should disregard the U.S. Constitution! OMG!  How utterly Bloombergian of them!

THE FOX NEWSERS WANT TO TRASH OUR FREEDOMS AND CRUSH YOU UNDER THEIR JACKBOOTED HEEL OF PROPAGANDA.  NO BILL OF RIGHTS FOR YOU!  WE'RE BEING TERRORIZED!

FAUX NOOZ:  The pant-wetter hysterics who DEMAND that this country ignore our laws in order to fight terrorism and its assault on our freedoms!

I speak only for myself here when I say that I cannot understand why any American who wants to be informed should be watching or reading information from only one source.

Just sayin'.

One more observation....I don't see that Fox News is "the most dangerous cable news station in America." Perhaps a bit of hyperbole employed for effect?

Shaw Kenawe said...

AOW, I assume, as you do, that people who wish to be informed do NOT get their news from any one source. But the fact that Fox is the No. 1 cable news source seems to belie that assumption.

The clips in the video I put up show that if someone were to get her news only from Fox, she indeed would have a horribly skewed political ideas.

And yes, I, like others who blog, use hyperbole for effect. But in the case of Fox, I don't think, from what little I watch of it, my assessment is over the top.

This is the cable news station, afterall, that featured Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin as political pundits.

I agree with AOW.

LOL!!

The noise is so shrill. Maybe you can help me understand something that's vogue in some circles, blaming Boston for the attacks.

My favorite conservative blog started in on us about how unpatriotic we are and drooling over Mark Steyn writing that the average NPR listener in Cambridge wouldn't know Chechnya from the Czech Republic (I say nonsense).
Just on and on.

What do they want? I say they want a complete denunciation of Muslims and a capitulation to their hatred.

Heck, Boston's went through that dark period in the 70's and we have come such a long way that we're a target for not wanting to go back.

I was out today at the Public Gardens and there was a Muslim family there buying a balloon animal for their son. We've worked for that kind of openness.

It's not just Faux Snooze, the right is in a closed system and their growth has been stunted, maybe permanently. I don't know what else would explain the antipathy.
Maybe you have an explanation.

Shaw Kenawe said...

The only explanation that I can think of is that most of these people don't know Muslims.

I live in an area of Boston where I interact with Muslims every day, and most certainly on Fridays and Saturdays when I'm on Blackstone Street, visiting the open air market stalls and the Middle Eastern shops all along the way.

There's no question that a small faction of fanatical Islamists are a threat to this country, but the fact is that they still are a teeny tiny percentage, which is something most of the howlers for revenge on the right seem not to understand.

I was just thinking today: I never read of any movement to stop southern Italians from emigrating to this country when the Mafia was at its most powerful and deadly [maybe there were people calling for this, but I don't know of it].

Also, we've been very lucky in our history not to have to deal with the sort of violence we've had to face over the last 20 or so years.

But even saying that makes a mockery of the violence African-Americans faced from the KKK terrorist organization. No one said anything about rounding up them at the height of their terrorist acts.

I think the rightwing is just frightened and are suffering from a feeling of loss of control.

If they could just get rid of the Muslims, and the black kids in hoodies, they think this country would be a paradise.

When we have elected officials in the US Senate and House suggesting that the President of the United States wants to place this country under Sharia law because he's a secret Muslim, it is impossible to reason with them and the people they represent.

They're all lost and frightened people.

Always On Watch said...

My personal interactions with Muslims have been mostly positive. However, Hitler probably was a delightful dinner guest, too.

People are people, and ideology often doesn't relate to how we interact as individuals.

Shaw said, and I don't completely disagree: I think the rightwing is just frightened and are suffering from a feeling of loss of control.

Haven't we seen the Left do the same? Other groups? I think that we have.

If they could just get rid of the Muslims, and the black kids in hoodies, they think this country would be a paradise.

I don't think that. But I do think that our society should be emphasizing plurality and not be trying in the name of multiculturalism to portray all cultures are equally wonderful. Furthermore, I do believe that one particular culture and the ethos of that particular culture will dominate a society -- and SHOULD in the rule of civil law. Frankly, I have zero problem with Saudi Arabia having religious police in their country, but I sure as hell do not want religious police here in the United States.

Duck,
My favorite conservative blog started in on us...

Are you speaking of MY blog?

Sam's recent blog post about you at my blog was quoting you exactly. Back in those days, closer to 2005 than to now, you did type in some rather outrageous statements.

In any case, I've been battered almost every time that I've visited a liberal or Leftist site. I didn't expect otherwise because a culture different from mine dominates in those venues.

As far as "starting in" on someone goes, well, you yourself had more than a few confrontations with Beak at his blog. Is that a big deal to you? To Beak?

I have known many people of Muslim faith, the majority are of Iranian, Syrian, or Lebanese lineage. I found the majority to be intelligent, umderstanding, caring, tolerant, and lving individuals. Certainly no threat to me or others.

The extreme Islamists are indeed a small yet threatening minority and those who I know were as critical of the terrorists as all sane people are. The threat stems from the virulent anti freedom of religoun and personal liberties faction of Muslim society and culture. Certainly we must be vigilent in fighting against this threat. However, demonizing all who are of the faith of Islam and of Muslim culture is short sighted, wrong, and ultimately works against our own interests. We should not forget that the MAJORITY of Muslims are here because of the hope of securing for themselves and their families the freedom and liberties we Americans often take for granted.

Just my added two cents worth Shaw, your comments and analogy said it well, much better than I could say them. Spot On Shaw... !

I respectfully disagree with this "evaluation" of FOX, Ms. Shaw.

Have you formed this opinion by watching that News Source assiduously with an honest attempt to render fair judgment, or do you get your impressions primarily from insolent, leftist satirists like Jon Stewart, whose manner I, personally, find distasteful, and whose biases show as clearly as if he had them spelled out in diamonds on a custom-made tiara worn during the taping of his snide, disrespectful, insultingly iconoclastic presentations?

That said I hasten to add that I find Bill O'Reilly of FOX fame to be an arrogant, obnoxious, overbearing bully who treats all his guests -- whether they be on the left OR right with an equal lack of respect. Sean Hannity, who follows O'Reilly, is a loud, intellectually-challenged partisan hack whose show I find infinitely tiresome.

Greta Van Susteren is quite tolerable, and the actual NEWS broadcasts by Bret Baier are very professional, well put together and much fairer and more dignified than other cable News Sources tend to be.

The Leftist Bias of CNN hangs in the air so palpably you could cut it with a knife, while MSNBC has steadily degenerated since its inception, and has now reached the abysmal level of low-grade FARCE bordering on out-and-out TRAVESTY.

If there is bias at FOX it's hardly enough to counteract the daily AVALANCHE of leftist propaganda that emanates from The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, The Boston Globe, ALL the weekly "News" magazines, TIme, Newsweek and U.S. News & World Report, the old Network News machines CBS, ABC, NBC, NPR, PBS and the insidious flow of Leftist Propaganda that infuses virtually ALL television shows of every description.

Talk Radio is often obnoxious, I'll grant you, but it is the ONLY widespread source of CONSERVATIVE propaganda that has any power at all in shaping the views of the electorate.

When those on the left can finally bring themselves to admit how incredibly biased in their favor ALL the major organs of communication have been since the end of World War Two -- and maybe even before -- we MIGHT be able at long last to establish an honest, fruitful dialogue.

I sadly suspect, however, that HELL is more apt to freeze over than we are of dropping this absurd partisan game that requires us to indulge every day in theatrical diatribes, and hopelessly DISINGENUOUS exchanges of entrenched partisan rhetoric.

Les Carpenter said...

It seems propaganda flows from both directions. I'm not at all sure which side possesses the deepest well of partisan propaganda BS. At one time I would have said the left hands down. Recently it has occurred to me the right is working damn hard to catch up.

As to FOX Freethinke I must concur with your assessment of Greta and Brett, they are indeed balanced by comparison to the rest.

I'm betting on hell freezing over by the way. First...
